  • Patent number: 6154892
Abstract: A toilet seat and lid, each comprising a rigid insert injection molded of reinforced thermoplastic material. Each insert is then over-molded by injection molding with a thermoplastic elastomeric material which provides the outer surface of seat and lid. The inserts are dimensioned with respect to their over-molded surfaces to be smaller than the finished seat and lid and are designed to give maximum strength to the seat and lid. Each insert is shaped to promote the flow of the over-mold material and to minimize shrinking, swelling or distortion of the insert. The elastomeric material is preferably chemically compatible with the inserts to allow a chemical as well as mechanical bond to take place. The over-molded material provides the desired soft, non-slip, warm to the touch outer characteristics of the seat and lid.

  • Patent number: 6135837
Abstract: A water sports board for use in supporting a person riding along on the top surface of the water. The elongated buoyant board has an elongated slot in its bottom surface for each of its fins. The fins are removably received in the elongated slots when the fins are raised up into the interior of the board. A mechanical structure is utilized for reciprocally moving the fins between an upper position inside the slot and a lower position in which a predetermined portion of the fin extends below the bottom surface of the board. A hydraulic system is used for actuating the mechanical means. It utilizes a resilient compressible bladder that is squeezed or released to move the pin between its upper and lower positions. The water sports board may take the form of a bodyboard, surfboard, kneeboard or wakeboard.

  • Patent number: 6135310
Abstract: A combination paint brush holder and paint pourer unit for paint cans. It has a horizontally oriented annular neck portion designed to removably snap fit into the top end opening of a paint can. Connected to the top edge of the annular neck portion is a horizontally oriented upper wall portion having a pouring spout formed at its front end. It's left and right sides each have a vertical recess in their outer surface for capturing a wire bail handle of a paint can when it raised to a vertical position. A paint brush wiper portion is connected to the top edge of the annular neck portion adjacent the rear end of the upper wall portion. An auxiliary handle is detachably secured to the metal wire bail handle of a paint can. The auxiliary handle has a strip of hook or loop fastening material secured to its front or rear surface that matably receives a strip of hook or loop material that would be attached to the handle of a paint brush.

  • Patent number: 6123067
Abstract: A solar collector tracking system that has a solar collection device having multiple lens assemblies mounted on its front surface. An exoskeleton structure is secured to the rear surface of the solar collection device and it is pivotally secured about a horizontal axis to the front end of an azimuth platform assembly. A hydraulic elevation actuator is pivotally mounted in the azimuth platform assembly about a horizontal axis and the front end of its piston rod is pivotally connected to the rear surface of the solar collection device and this allows it to be pivoted approximately 90 degrees between a vertical operating position and a horizontal storage position. The azimuth platform assembly is journaled on the top end of a tower extending up from the ground. A tubular post is rigidly secured to the top end of the post. A drive head extends horizontally from the tubular post and it has a pivot pin that extends upwardly therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6119354
Abstract: A trammel adaptor for a square head. It has a right angle bracket having a vertical leg and a horizontal leg. A vertically extending left flange is connected to the left edge of the vertical leg and they intersect each other at an acute angle A. A vertically extending right flange is connected to the right edge of the vertical leg and they intersect each other at an acute angle B. The planar inner surface and the respective left and right flanges form a tract for removably receiving the vertical flanges of a square head. An elongated indicator leg is vertically mounted on the bottom of the right angle bracket. The pointed bottom end of the indicator leg may have its height adjusted vertically along a Y-axis that also passes along the vertical rear surface of the square head.

  • Patent number: 6095340
Abstract: A lawn and garden pan having a substantially horizontal bottom wall panel having a substantially triangular configuration. The front end of the pan is open and it has numerous teeth extending forwardly along its entire length. The bottom wall panel has numerous sifting holes spread out over substantially its entire surface. The left and right side walls extend upwardly from the lateral edges of the bottom wall panel and their top ends curl outwardly and downwardly to form an inverted U-shaped configuration that forms a natural contour to seat between the palm of a person's hand and the thumb. A person can grip the pan for holding purposes along the entire length of the edges of the pan except its front end into which lawn debris can be raked or swept.

  • Patent number: 6088951
Abstract: A coupling system for twin-fin tubes used in radiation heating for agricultural applications wherein a heated fluid, such as water, is passed through the tubes for the purpose of heating surrounding plants. The twin-fin tubes have a tubular portion from which twin-fins protrude radially. The twin-fins also extend substantially the entire length of the tubular portion. Adjacent each end of the twin-fin tubes, the tubular portion has a neck segment with a pair of radially outwardly extending fingers. The tubular coupler has an inside diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the neck portion which is removably inserted therein. Adjacent each end of the tubular coupler are a pair of axially spaced annular grooves on the inner surface thereof. The inner most of these two annular grooves has an O-ring seated therein.

  • Patent number: 6068554
Abstract: A hand manipulated dual controller assembly for use with action video games. It has a base with a trackball type controller mounted in one recess in the top surface of the base and a joystick type controller mounted in another recess in the top surface of the base. By using the joystick controller, the player can separately move the action video game character in any desired direction and by using the trackball controller allow the character to look with his eyes in any desired direction. The top surface of the base surrounding the trackball type controller is convex and it allows a player's cupped hand to rest on the top of the base while that hand is actuating the trackball controller and the surrounding buttons. That hand also stabilizes the position of the base and prevents the base from being pushed around when the player uses the joystick controller with his other hand.
