  • Patent number: 4498576
Abstract: A product conveyor lane divider for dividing cartons, tubs, jars, boxes and various products from a single infeed product lane into two product discharge lanes. The product infeed lane feeds products onto a work or separator conveyor in single file and a driven divider wheel having lugs or separating members disposed thereon engages every other product or group of products and moves it laterally on the separator conveyor for discharge onto a product discharge conveyor which discharges the two lanes of products formed by displacement caused by the divider wheel. Apparatus is included that adjusts the divider wheel to selected various heights and an angle drive mechanism is provided for driving the wheel. The speed, angle and spacing of the lugs may be adjusted to satisfy installation requirements.

  • Patent number: 4372288
Abstract: An elongated air manifold is provided to be positioned with the manifold extending across the opening of a fireplace closed by conventional glass doors. The manifold is disposed inward of the glass doors and includes outlet openings spaced longitudinally therealong and a shiftable damper plate for variably opening and closing the outlet openings. The opposite ends of the manifold include air inlet openings with which air ducts opening to the exterior of an associated building are communicated and the air inlet openings of the manifold have valve structures operatively associated therewith for variably opening and closing the air inlet openings. The valve structures and the damper plate may be operated from within the fireplace.

  • Patent number: 4054288
Abstract: An archery target having a backstop provided with markings representing a game animal, and the like, for forming a target area on the backstop. By constructing the backstop as a rectangular parallelepiped, markings can be provided on a pair of parallel faces in order to afford a choice of targets and to reduce wear on the backstop. The latter is enhanced by including in the markings designation of areas which are the primary target area in the animal, and by offsetting these designated areas from one another. The backstop is anchored at a desired location by a pair of rods extending through holes provided in the backstop and inserted into the ground or other support surface. An elastic element stretched between the rods above the backstop holds the backstop firmly in place relative to the internal frame formed by the rods.

  • Patent number: 3944228
Abstract: A curling stone handle of one piece construction contoured to conform with the contour of the face of existing curling stones combined with a ribbed washer of plastic oriented interiorly of the cupped area only in the curling stone and a bolt extending through the curling stone and securing the handle and washer in place with the bolt including a head that will fit any curling stone recess and provided with a polygonal depression for receiving a wrench to facilitate assembly and disassembly of the handle, washer and bolt with respect to the curling stone. The washer is formed having a central bore and a plurality of radially extending ribs extending from the bore to the periphery of the washer. The ribs are provided with a flat side surface and a convex opposite curved surface, both surfaces extending substantially perpendicular from one flat side of the washer. The washer is placed between the curling stone and handle and having the ribs facing downward in contact with the curling stone.
