  • Patent number: 7964979
Abstract: A method of controlling a wind turbine, where a control signal for a controllable parameter of the wind turbine is determined, and the rotor power coefficient, the torque coefficient, and/or a thrust coefficient of the wind turbine are estimated at time intervals. From this is determined a variation parameter reflecting the variation of the estimated rotor power, torque or thrust coefficient over time. The wind turbine is then controlled according to the control signal only if the variation parameter is below an alert threshold, and otherwise according to a modified control strategy. The control signal may have a power or torque reference signal for controlling the rotational speed of the turbine or a blade pitch reference signal. The modified control method may for instance entail stopping or de-rating the wind turbine. A control system configured to perform the above control method, and a wind turbine comprising such system are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7965454
Abstract: There are provided an imaging lens, which is capable of promoting high definition and miniaturization of a small-size image pickup apparatus, and the small-size image pickup apparatus using the same. A aperture diaphragm S is arranged between a first lens L1 and a second lens L2 so that the first lens L1 is configured to be displaced into the orthogonal direction to the optical axis. Even when an error sensitivity of a lens is large, a stable high resolution can be secured by performing a lens alignment by displacing the first lens L1 into the orthogonal direction to the optical axis at the time of assembling, and thereby a high definition image can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 7965873
Abstract: Changing of setting of a predetermined function or file that is selected is controlled only be performing fingerprint authentication while data regarding the predetermined function or file is displayed on a display unit. While data regarding a function arbitrarily selected by an input unit from a plurality of functions is displayed on the display unit, a control unit authenticates a user based on fingerprint information representing a fingerprint pattern read by a fingerprint sensor and registered fingerprint information pre-stored in a fingerprint information area. If the authentication is successful, the control unit changes a “user restriction flag” associated with the function selected by the input unit in protection setting information stored in a user restriction flag storage area to an effective state or an ineffective state.
