Abstract: In reversal processing, washing between the first development and the reversal bath can be avoided without any loss of photographic quality if the reversal bath is operated in countercurrent over at least two stages and hydroquinone sulfonic acid is used as the first developer.

Abstract: Polyolefin molding composition consisting essentially of a polyolefin formed from an olefin having at least 3 carbon atoms of the formula R.sup.a --CH.dbd.CH--R.sup.b, where R.sup.a and R.sup.b are identical or different and each is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.15 -alkyl, straight-chain or branched, or R.sup.a and R.sup.b together with the atoms joining them together form a ring system, and from 0 to 10% by weight of ethylene or of a second olefin have the abovementioned meaning as comonomer, characterized by a 230/2.16 MFI from 5 to 1000 g/10 min, a 230/5 MFI from 15 to 3000 g/10 min, a molecular weight (M.sub.w) from 75,000 to 350,000 g/mol, a polydispersity (M.sub.w /M.sub.n) from 1.8 to 3.5, a viscosity number from 70 to 300 cm.sup.3 /g, a melting point from 120.degree. to 165.degree. C., an isotactic block length from 25 to 150, and ether extractables less than 2% by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer.

Abstract: A highly effective catalyst system for the polymerization of olefins comprises a cocatalyst, preferably an aluminoxane, and a metallocene of the formula I ##STR1## in which, preferably M.sup.1 is Zr or Hf, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are alkyl or halogen, R.sup.5 is hydrogen or alkyl, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are alkyl, where R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 may be halogenated, --(CR.sup.7 R.sup.8).sub.m --R.sup.6 --(CR.sup.7 R.sup.8).sub.n -- is a single- or multi-membered chain in which R.sup.6 may also be a (substituted) heteroatom, and m+n is zero or 1.

Abstract: A wall mounted storage system includes at least one pair of spaced apart vertical hanger bars for attachment to a studded wall or comparable structure. At least one removable shelf support bracket is associated with each hanger bar, and the bracket is removably connected to the bar at any one of a plurality of vertical locations along the bar. A shelf is supported by the brackets and releasably attached thereto by rear hooks on the brackets that hook over the rear rail of the shelf. An upwardly extending retainer loop on each bracket extends through the shelf and engages the front rail thereof. The hooks and loops on the shelf brackets interact with the shelf to positively secure the shelf in place and prevent it from tipping or shifting forward or sideways. Horizontal spacing of the hanger bars is not critical and the shelf may be releasably secured to the brackets even when the horizontal distance between the bars varies from one location to another.

Abstract: Process for producing aluminum phosphinatesThe invention relates to a process for producing aluminum phosphinates of the formula (I) ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, independently of each other, are linear or branched (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)-alkyl or phenyl, which comprises reacting phosphinates of the formula (II) ##STR2## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are as previously stated and R.sup.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, with aluminum chloride in a molar ratio of from 2.5:1 to 4:1.

Abstract: An energy expenditure/training garment includes a suit having integral resistance panels and a base fabric covering other portions of the suit. The suit includes a body portion, arm portions and leg portions. In one practice of the invention the resistance panels and the base fabric are made of contrasting colors to provide indicating structure of the type of garment. In other practices of the invention various connecting structure is used to connect the resistance panels of the leg directly to footwear such as sneakers, roller blades or boots so that the footwear functions as anchor structure for the panels.

Abstract: The crystal oscillator sensor is provided with a coating comprising a polymer having olefinic side groups. The coating polymer used is, for example, substituted polyacrylate, polymethacrylate, polystyrene or polyester. The sensor is suitable for detecting ozone.

Abstract: A multi-chamber dispenser for flowable materials includes a cartridge having a plurality of chambers disposed in side by side relationship. A pump has a plurality of longitudinal passageways corresponding to the number of chambers with each passageway being insertable into a chamber. The pump and cartridge are provided with guide structure to assure the proper positioning of the components and to permit the pump and cartridge to be readily mounted together and to be disassembled so that the pump may be used with a different cartridge after the contents have been dispensed.

Abstract: Aminated cellulosic synthetic fibers are produced by adding an amine-substituted cellulose derivative to a viscose or an alkali cellulose and spinning fibers by the viscose spinning process, or by adding said cellulose derivative to a cellulose solution and spinning fibers from said solution.

Abstract: In the production of a colour photographic image in a continuous process comprising at least the stages a) treatment with a bath containing H.sub.2 O.sub.2 or a bath containing a compound which liberates H.sub.2 O.sub.2 and b) fixing, wherein stage b) immediately follows stage a), precipitation of silver oxide and silver is avoided if the fixing bath contains an anti-oxidant and a buffer substance in addition to the fixing agent, a molar ratio of anti-oxidant to fixing agent of >0.2 is maintained and the quantity of buffer substance is >0.4 mol/l.

Abstract: A beverage container holder to be removably attached to an armrest of a chair includes an arm member and a receptacle on one end of the arm member to receive and support a beverage container in a stable manner. A flexible, generally U-shaped retainer is on the opposite end of the arm member and is configured to engage the armrest to secure the beverage container holder to the armrest. The receptacle includes a base, at least one upright wall extending generally about the periphery of the base and a slot provided in the upright wall. The slot extends downwardly from an upper rim of the upright wall to the base and also extends partially across the base.

Abstract: In a process for the production of colour photographic prints, in which transparent colour photographic originals having a wide range of brightness are reproduced on a colour photographic paper and the colour photographic paper exposed in this manner is subjected to a process comprising at least the stages colour development and silver removal, satisfactory definition both in the highlights and in the shadows is achieved by locally modifying the sensitivity of the colour negative paper before processing as a function of the original and with the modification not being sharply defined.

Abstract: A locking plate comprises a thin generally resilient plate member capable of being bent out of its normal condition and tending to return to its normal condition upon release of the bending force. A securing leg is mounted at each of the end edges of the plate member extending outwardly away from the exposed surface of the plate member. Each of the securing legs terminates in an outwardly directed locking flange so that the plate may be mounted to a support member having holes in the support member by flexing the plate member out of its normal condition to permit one of the locking flanges to be inserted through the hole and then inserting the other locking flange through another hole in the support member whereupon the plate is permitted to return toward its original condition.

Abstract: Woven or laid structures comprising at least two systems of parallel threads, at least one of these thread systems having more than 10 threads per centimeter and comprising at least 10%, based on the thread system, of hybrid yarns comprising reinforcing filaments and lower melting matrix filaments composed of thermoplastic polymers. In such woven or laid structures, the matrix component can be melted to form textile sheet materials of adjustable gas and/or liquid permeability, which are especially useful for manufacturing airbags.

Abstract: A photographic roll-film pack, comprised of a light-proof core case with roll-film, with a photographic shutter, film advance means with manual control, a picture counter, a shutter-release device and apertures and/or lenses of a picture-taking lens and/or viewfinder defining optical beam paths, with a covering for the core case which leaves uncovered at least one manual control, is designed so that the covering is formed by a protective case (11, 12), enclosing the core case (1, 2), which is composed of shells (11, 12) of essentially rigid plastics which is at least transparent in the areas of apertures and/or lenses of a picture-taking lens and/or viewfinder defining optical beam paths. The roll-film pack is thereby protected against moisture, dirt and damage, but can still be manufactured cost-effectively using automated production and it can be re-assembled following removal of an exposed film.
