Abstract: An image forming apparatus implements a print restriction depending on the environment of the image forming apparatus, such as who is or is not near the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus communicates with a short-range wireless terminal for authenticating print data with reference to access right information in which document identifying information identifying the print data is associated with wireless terminal identifying information identifying the short-range wireless terminal. The image forming apparatus includes an acquiring unit for acquiring the wireless terminal identifying information from the short-range wireless terminal; a determining unit for determining whether the printing of the print data should be permitted or not based on the wireless terminal identifying information acquired by the acquiring unit and the access right information; and a control unit for controlling the printing of the print data depending on a result of the determination made by the determining unit.
Abstract: In an interlock device for turning a switch on and off in accordance with closing and opening of a plurality of covers covering a body of an electronic apparatus, one striker protrudes from each of the covers. An engagement member is provided inside the body of the electronic apparatus to move in a predetermined direction to contact and separate from the switch to turn the switch on and off. All the strikers contact the engagement member to turn on the switch when all the covers are closed. At least one of the strikers separates from the engagement member to turn off the switch when the corresponding cover is opened.

Abstract: A toner including toner particles comprising a binder resin, a coloring agent and a wax. The toner particles are prepared by agglomerating and/or fusing at least two kinds of resin particulates and particles of the coloring agent dispersed in an aqueous medium. A first resin particulate among the at least two kinds of resin particulates contains a resin having a polyester skeleton and the wax. At least 50% by weight of the binder resin is polyester resins.
Abstract: An optical scanner unit includes an LD unit, a polygon mirror deflecting a light beam, an optical scan system focusing the light beam from the polygon mirror on a photoconductive drum to form an electrostatic latent image, and a synchronous detector receiving a part of the light beam to detect a write start position on the photoconductive drum in main scan direction. The synchronous detector is fixed on a portion of a housing at predetermined angles in main and sub scan directions relative to an incidence angle of the light beam on the synchronous detector.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid supplying apparatus including an ink cartridge, a sub-tank, nozzles, and an ink cartridge installation part. The ink cartridge has a first ink container and a second ink container. The first ink container has a holding member that has its position lowered. The second ink container has an operating member, a biasing unit, and a locking unit. The locking unit engages the operating member until the remaining amount of the ink is below a prescribed value and the holding member engages the locking unit. The locking unit releases engagement of the operating member when the remaining amount of ink is below the prescribed value and the holding member engages the locking unit. The operating member protrudes from the ink cartridge installation part and is opened to the position allowing the operation on the ink cartridge when the engagement with the locking unit is released.

Accordingly, the universal input switching power supply has good transmitting efficiency at different AC power source conditions.
