Abstract: A method of fabricating a golf club hosel includes the steps of: (1) providing a mold tool having a cavity corresponding to a hosel having a generally cylindrical boss portion coupled to a horizontal leg portion extending radially from the boss portion, wherein the horizontal leg portion has a width that is less than the outside diameter of the boss portion; (2) providing a mold tool insert slideably coupled to the mold tool along a sliding axis generally perpendicular to the horizontal leg portion; (3) sliding the mold tool insert to a first position such that the mold tool insert forms, within said cavity, a surface of the cylindrical portion and a surface of the horizontal leg portion; (4) filling the mold tool cavity with a material (e.g., a wax material); and (5) sliding the mold tool insert to a second position such that the mold tool insert disengages from the material in the mold tool cavity.

Abstract: A golf putter head includes a face member with a front surface arranged for impacting a golf ball. A first arm extends substantially rearwardly from a heel end of the face member, a second arm extends substantially rearwardly from a toe end of the face member, and a central member extends rearwardly from the face member intermediate the heel and toe ends thereof. The central member is connected to and extends rearwardly from a back surface of the face member. The central member is connected to the first and second arms rearwardly of the face member. The first and second arms have top surfaces that slope downwardly as the first and second arms extend away from the face member.

Abstract: A selectable insert for a golf club head (e.g., for a golf putter) is configured to produce a predetermined frequency response through the use of, for example, a damped single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system. A set of such inserts are provided, and one or more inserts from that set is selected in accordance with the response of an individual, for example, an individual's subjective response to the sound of the insert and/or an individual's biomechanical response to the “feel” or discomfort produced by vibrations propagating through the golf club to the individual.
