Abstract: A food processing device for automatically cooking and processing food is shown. The device has a cylindrical cooking vessel positioned in a sloping manner and rotatably supported on rotary wheels. Variable heater elements are provided at the cooking vessel to subject the food to selected cooking heat patterns. The food advances through the cooking vessel by gravitational force and the rotational movement of the vessel and it is also being tossed and turned continuously to ensure even cooking and from adhering to the inner side wall of the vessel. A pre-cleaning unit is provided for cleaning the food thoroughly prior to cooking and a cooling unit cools the cooked food to a desired temperature for packaging.
Abstract: A method and device for controlling and limiting the cooking temperature of any selected utensil for cooking on a surface burner element of a range are shown. A temperature sensor is provided either on a heat transfer plate which is mounted to the burner element or in a remote-controlled unit mounted directly to the utensil. The actual temperature of the utensil is compared with the selected cooking temperature, and it is then adjusted to maintain the two temperatures close to each other. The device also automatically turns off the burner element in a potential runaway condition or in the absence of a utensil placed thereon.
Abstract: External inflatable safety bags are provided in this system which is adaptable for a variety of conveyances. A sensing means determines the speed and distance between the conveyance and an obstacle or another conveyance for selectively providing a warning signal to the driver to avoid a collision or to deploy the safety bags automatically when collision is imminent. The safety bags provide impact absorption as well as aerodynamic breaking of the speed of the conveyance.
Abstract: This device is for maintaining a flexible bag in an open manner. It has an inner hoop having an outer side wall sloping inwardly and downwardly, and an outer binder which is provided with a through opening having a complementary shape and size adapted to embrace the outer side wall of the inner hoop. The flexible bag is mounted between the inner hoop and the outer binder by first inserting the bag through the inner hoop with the bag's lip portion folded backwards to cover over the outer side wall of the inner loop. The outer binder is then fitted over the inner hoop with the folded back lip portion of the bag sandwiched between the engaging inner hoop and the outer binder. When the bag is being filled, the weight in the bag will inherently pull the inner hoop and the outer binder to engage with each other with increasing force as the weight of the load increases, and thus, in turn, securing the bag even more tightly to the device.
Abstract: This device converts the intrinsic magnetic force of permanent magnets into a useful output. The three-pole permanent magnets configuration comprises of two elongated bar magnets (1,2) having two opposite magnetic polarities divided by a longitudinal plane. One magnet (1) is referred to as the movable magnet and the other magnet (2) is referred to as the stationary magnet and is located juxtaposed and perpendicular to a broad side surface of the movable magnet. The interaction of the intrinsic magnetic forces of the two magnets (1,2) results in a torque forcing the movable magnet to move in its longitudinal direction (37) relative to the stationary magnet. A plurality of such three-pole permanent magnets configurations are provided around the periphery of a rotary wheel (8) to provide a rotary torque output.
Abstract: The composite edge banding T-molding is an elongated continuous molding with a T-shaped cross section and having a relatively rigid core body situated between a flexible cover layer and a barbed mounting strip. The core body, the cover layer and the barbed mounting strip are made of compatible thermal plastic materials and are integrally and simultaneously formed by extrusion. The T-molding is bendable to retain selected curved or bent shape along its length.

Abstract: The tracking device is adapted for attaching to clothing and/or clothing accessories for tracking the date, the event and any remarks pertaining to the event in which the clothing and/or clothing accessories were worn. The device is a sheet material having a circular opening and two parallel scored lines extending from one edge to a portion close to the other edge opposite to the first edge. The scored lines are designed to be punctured selectively to form slot openings of selective shape and length for attaching the device to the clothing and/or the clothing accessories.
Abstract: The portable power plunger is for unclogging blocked drains in sinks, toilets, bath tubs and the like. The plunger has a main body having a reciprocating pump with a removable attachment mounted at its outlet lower end which is adapted to cover intimately over the waste water drain of a sink, toilet, or bath tub. The drain may be unclogged by operating the pump to dislodge the blockage and to dispose of it down the sewer. The pump is provided with a substantial back flow preventor such that the dirty water in the drain would not back into the pump to contaminate the latter. An integral injector pipe is also provided on the plunger. The injector pipe extends into an interior compartment at the lower part of the housing between the back flow preventor and the outlet, and it is attached to a pneumatic pressure source or pressurized water supply. The pneumatic pressure or pressurized water provides additional pressure to unclog the blockage in the drain or for drawing dirty water out from the drain.
Abstract: The hydraulic device for raising and lowering seat of the barber's chair has a main housing section and a lower section. A sliding plunger is slidably mounted in a sleeve extending between the lower section and the top cover of the main housing section. An oil pump is operative to force the oil contained with the main housing section into a channel in the lower section to the bottom of the sleeve for raising or lowering the sliding plunger. The seat of the barber's chair is mounted to the top of the sliding plunger. The joint between the lower section and the main housing section is permanently sealed with a metal compound by welding, brazing or soldering.
Abstract: The display device has a free standing structure or it may be incorporated into a building wall. The display device primarily consists of a banner having a series of panels mounted in a plurality of display areas provided in a movable frame. A selected panel may be moved into position of a display frame. Each panel bears a different display. The display frame consists of a generally rectangular frame having a light projection display screen mounted at its rear side. The panels moved over the display screen. One display area is an empty area and does not contain any panel such that when this empty panel is located at the display frame a light display projected onto the screen with a video or slide projector is visible in the display frame.
Abstract: The device has a V-shaped wedge provided with a flexible belt which is adjustable to locate on either side of the inside surfaces of the wedge. The belt has frictional side surfaces. The lid of a jar may be either opened or closed by jamming against the convergent inside surfaces between one side of the wedge and the belt adjusted to abut the other side of the wedge. One end of the belt is mounted to the vertex of the wedge and its other end is mounted to a slider button sliderably mounted to an arcuate periphery of a supporting plate of the device.

Abstract: A headrest mounting assembly for mounting on the external surface of the rear surface of a backrest. The assembly includes a latching assembly removably mounted within a cover casing which has a channel defined by an upper slot opening and a lower slot opening formed in the upper and lower panels of the cover casing. A latching element pivotally mounted on a support and biassed by a torsion spring. The latching element has a narrow latching finger which is normally located in the locked position in the channel when the assembly is mounted on the backrest. The latching assembly bas a dome-shaped press button mounted on the latching element and it is operative to locate the latching finger in an opened position to allow the elongated bar of a headrest to be inserted through the channel. A plurality of transverse openings are formed in the elongated bar which are adapted to engage with the narrow finger of the latching element to lock the headrest at a selected height above the backrest.
Abstract: The multi-function energy management system has a plurality of predetermined operating programs stored in memory in or around a micro controller. The micro controller may be pre-set to operate a plurality of heating ventilation, air conditioning and other operating devices according to selected ones of such operating programs for maintaining the temperature in a room of a building at a desired ambient temperature condition and other loads at various operating conditions. The system has a continuously operating internal clock with a back up battery having a life span of ten years. Adjustment allowance is provided in the clock for leap years and daylight savings time. The system is capable of selectively operating the heating, ventilation, air conditioning devices and other energy consuming devices such as lighting, thermal storage heaters according to the occupancy of the room to provide a maximum saving of energy consumption.
Abstract: A woodworking power tool which may be used as a circular saw, overhead high-speed router, tilting-head bench and floor models drill press, bench shaper, tracer lathe, and band saw, or as a multiple functions tool combining all these six functions, with all six functions being accessible instantly. The tool is equipped with an optional horsepower motor which is detachable, to permit its immediate replacement with a spare motor and to eliminate lengthy down time while a failed motor is being serviced. Abstract: The interactive animated figure toy is formed with few commonly available component parts. Various interesting figures may be selectively formed by stringing a plurality of bead elements together with elastic bands. The figure is mounted on two elongated supporting rods such that it may be actuated to perform interesting and entertaining responsive actions with the operation of the supporting rods.
Abstract: The hockey stick is provided with a recess formed at its lower edge of the blade. The recess eliminates ice build up on the front surface of the blade and relieves the air resistance and erratic buffeting of the blade when the latter is swung at a high speed against the puck. The front surface of the blade also slopes upwardly and rearwardly to enhance the release of air resistance build up on the blade. A resilient bumper is provided at the front end of the blade to safeguard against wear and tear of such end as well as minimizing accidental injury to the players hit by the blade.
Abstract: The method and device are for identifying and tracking garment and accessories in order to avoid repeating in wearing of the same garment and accessories to the same social function or occasion in its next occurrence. Distinctive identification devices are attachable to the garment and/or accessories after each function and the occasion is recorded either on such identification devices or in an associated recording device such that it can be ascertained that in the next occurrence of the same social function the same garment and accessories would not be worn again.
Abstract: In this combustion gas control device, an electromechanical control is provided for automatically controlling the supply of the gas to the pilot burner when it is being ignited and subsequently to the main burner. The device has a main chamber, a pilot chamber and an outlet chamber. A spring-biassed valve is provided between the main chamber and the pilot chamber to close communication between the main chamber and pilot and outlet chambers. The spring-biassed valve is opened when a solenoid is actuated to allow gas from the main chamber to flow into the pilot chamber to the pilot outlet for lighting the pilot light. A diaphragm cover is provided between the pilot chamber and outlet chamber while the pilot is lighted to prevent gas from entering the outlet chamber.
Abstract: A multi-purpose restraining strap is operative both as a general purpose leash and a washing restraint for pets. The strap is made of a weather-proof and washable synthetic plastic web or cord having a releasable buckle at one end for forming a loop which may be noosed over the neck of the pet as a collar. A quick release latch hook is provided at the other end of the strap for securing the strap to another object or a support. A generally inverted V-shaped bracket is provided, which may be removably attached to the quick release latch hook and to the drain of a bath tub such that the strap may serve as a restraint to confine the pet within a bath tub for washing purposes.
Abstract: Welding electrodes are continuously coated with a flux material with this pressure coating system. The flux material is supplied to the coating station by two supply bins which are automatically controlled such that the flux material is always supplied to the coating station. While one supply bin is supplying the flux material to the coating station the other bin is being replenished in an alternate manner.
