  • Patent number: 7020936
Abstract: A universal carry strap includes a woven strip, an adjustment buckle and a shuttle buckle. The strip has two opposite ends onto which the adjustment and the shuttle buckles are integrally formed by molding plastic. The adjustment buckle has multiple adjusting through holes. The shuttle buckle passes selectively through the adjusting through holes. Consequently, the carry strap will provide a robust connection and be easy, quick and convenient to be connected to an object, such as a case having a first and a second connecting hook ring by passing the shuttle buckle through the first connecting hook ring, selectively through the adjusting through holes in the adjustment buckle and eventually through the second connecting hook ring to engage the second connecting hook ring.

  • Patent number: 7020360
Abstract: A wavelength dispersion probing system for determining a value of wavelength dispersion and its sign and reducing the trouble and time required for this determination. This wavelength dispersion probing system comprises light sources 10, 12, light attenuators 14, 16, optical multiplexer 18, phase modulator 20, optical amplifiers 22, 26, acoustooptical modulator 24, optical receiver 30. The intensity ratio of two wavelengths is set at 1 to 2 to detect Stokes light or anti-Stokes light included in the return light of an optical fiber 100 by the optical receiver 30, so that wavelength dispersion is probed. The wavelength dispersion is probed by changing the intensity ratio of the two wavelengths to observe the state of the change of the wavelength dispersion, so that the sign of wavelength dispersion is determined by the optical receiver 30.

  • Patent number: 7014289
Abstract: A head (101) prints a predetermined test pattern under the control of a head control unit (204) in order to precisely detect a head deviation when a head has been changed, the printed test pattern is read by a sensor 110 and detected by a pattern detector (209). Every time an interrupt signal corresponding to the edge of a detected pattern element is input to the CPU (203), a value of a main scanning counter (205)/main scanning timer (207) (and/or a sub-scanning counter (206)/sub-scanning timer (208)) is read, the printing position of each pattern element is detected from the value, and the mounting deviation of the head is calculated based on the detection result of the printing position of each pattern element printed by the head. The vertical bar of a test pattern may be printed in multiple passes. A plurality of edges may be detected at different longitudinal positions of the bar and the detected results are averaged to determine an edge position.

  • Patent number: 7007180
Abstract: A power saving method and device capable of dynamically select an appropriate power saving mode according to operation states of a computer system. When a power saving system task 15 detects that an execution queue 132 does not contain any executable user task and the computer system has entered an idle state, a power saving transition check module 154 checks if an event queue 131 contains a timer-expiration-waiting event. Depending upon whether or not the timer-expiration-waiting event is present, the computer system moves from a normal operation mode to a first or a second power saving operation mode, each power saving operation mode having its own power saving effect. A power saving mode release module 231 of an interrupt handler 23 returns the system from the first or second power saving operation mode to the normal operation mode in response to an occurrence of an interrupt. For example, in the first power saving operation mode, the CPU operation clock is stopped.

  • Patent number: 7004886
Abstract: An air cushion for exercise in accordance with the present invention has a bladder (10) and a ballast stay (15) accommodated inside the bladder (10). The bladder (10) has a flat bottom (11) and a bulge top (12). The ballast stay (15) is thermally welded to the bottom (11) to stiffen the bottom (11) to make the air cushion stably placed on the ground. Combining the bladder (10) and ballast stay (15) in one piece makes the configuration of the air cushion simple and also simplifies the manufacturing process to reduce product cost of the air cushion.

  • Patent number: 7005806
Abstract: A light device includes one or more light members disposed behind a hood, to generate lights. A remote detecting device may be used to detect whether one or more users go toward or go close to the light or not, and to actuate the light member to generate the lights when the users are detected to go toward the light. The light device may thus be actuated to generate light without being actuated or contacted by the users or without being operated or contacted by the users manually. A control device may be used to actuate the light member to generate the light. The remote detecting device includes a light emitting device to generate a light to detect whether the user goes toward the light or not.

  • Patent number: 7000877
Abstract: Brackets for a clotheshorse are used in pairs. Each bracket has multiple collars that align respectively with multiple collars defined in the other opposite bracket. A vertical socket is formed at a bottom of the bracket in which a telescoping rod of the clotheshorse is mounted. Multiple slots are vertically defined in the bracket and extend inward to respectively communicate with the multiple collars to hold longitudinal members of a rack inside the multiple collars through the slots. Thereby, a bracket assembly mounted on the clotheshorse enables versatile accessories to be mounted on the clotheshorse.

  • Patent number: 6999141
Abstract: The method for fabricating reflector plate for a reflective liquid crystal display and the device is disclosed. The present invention includes the formation of a protection layer over the glass substrate having thin film transistors and a layer of transparent electrodes on top, followed by the formation of a layer of undulating resin over the protection layer. If the reflector plate to be produced is a semi-transmissive type, a light-transmitting region is created over the protection layer. Since the protection layer is created in advance of the undulating resin outgrowth, the present method can effectively prevent reflection from the exposure stage during the lithography process, thus the problem of abnormal pattern marks occurring on the reflective surface can be avoided, and the exposure time and the production yield are enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6989739
Abstract: A multi-window vehicular monitoring system has a data collection assembly, a console unit and multiple video cameras. The data collection assembly uses RF signal transmission to send distance data, and the console unit is further connected to a monitor and several video cameras. The system employs an image overlay controller to correlate the distance data and images to produce single-channel or multiple-channel video signals. With a continuous display of video images from all angles and constantly updated distance data, the vehicle driver becomes more aware of conditions around the vehicle at any given time. Thus no blind spots exist for the driver around the vehicle. Using such a monitoring system, a driver's visibility and safety can be considerably enhanced under all driving conditions.
