Abstract: A rotating electrical machine includes a flange provided at one end of a substantially rectangular, hollow frame in an axial direction; a lid provided at the other end of the frame in the axial direction; a rotor including a shaft, the shaft being rotatably supported by the flange and the lid; a stator fixed to an inner section of the frame, the stator surrounding the rotor; and a plurality of fans provided on opposite side surfaces of the frame in a plan view of the frame as viewed in the axial direction.
Abstract: A fuel cell stack including a plurality of fuel cells each formed by stacking separators and an electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly. The electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly includes an electrolyte membrane provided with a pair of electrodes on the opposite sides thereof. A stacked body formed by stacking the fuel cells is provided with a pair of end plates at the opposite ends thereof in a stacking direction. The end plates are integrally fixed by fastening members with the distance between the end plates maintained. A load measurement mechanism including a plurality of load sensors integrally connected to a connector member is provided between one of the end plates and the stacked body. The one of the end plates is provided with a pressure mechanism. The pressure mechanism presses the load measurement mechanism toward the stacked body to thereby apply a tightening load to the stacked body via the load sensors.

Abstract: A resin molding device includes a lead plate and a first resin molding member. The lead plate includes patterns. Each of the patterns includes a base, a plurality of lead pairs; and a lead connection portion. Each of the lead pairs includes a first lead and a second lead. The first resin molding member is integrally formed with the base and the lead pairs. The first resin molding member defines a recessed portion at a mounting side surface on the base where a light emitting device is to be mounted. The recessed portion is formed to open upwardly and to have a side surface. The lead pairs are partially exposed at a bottom surface area of the recessed portion. The first lead or the second lead is capable of mounting a protection device thereon such that the protection device is covered by the first resin molding member.
Abstract: An approach is provided for managing one or more services corresponding to a bearer tag (e.g., near field communication (NFC) tag, radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, contactless card, or barcode). A request to manage a service is initiated by reading service information from a bearer tag corresponding to the one or more services. A services platform initiates management of the one or more services based on the service information according to a predetermined or recurring billing arrangement.
Abstract: Techniques to provide context-indexed network resources include determining a network resource that is associated with first data in response to receiving first data that describes a context feature. A context token is determined, which indicates a probability, in the first data, of a topic from a context vocabulary. The context vocabulary includes concepts describing temporal, spatial, environmental or activity circumstances of consumers. Second data is stored, which indicates the network resource in association with the context token. In some embodiments, determining a network resource associated with the first data includes sending a topic based on the feature context token to a network resource search engine; and, the network resource is determined based on data returned from the network resource search engine.
Abstract: A multi-plate clutch includes clutch discs which are disposed between a clutch outer and a clutch inner and are movable in an axial direction of the transmission shaft to permit and cut off the transmission of the rotational driving force from a crankshaft to a transmission shaft. A first biasing mechanism is configured to apply a clamping force to the clutch discs. A cam mechanism is configured to adjust the clamping force in accordance with the rotational driving force. A second biasing mechanism is configured to generate a biasing force to separate the clutch discs away from one another and to weaken the clamping force. The cam mechanism is configured to apply to the second biasing mechanism a force against the biasing force generated by the second biasing mechanism in accordance with the rotational driving force.
Abstract: A network analyzer contains a processing device, at least one signal generator and at least four measuring points. The processing device controls the signal generator and processes measured values picked up from the measuring points. The network analyzer implements several calibration measurements on calibration standards, before it implements measurements on a device under test. The network analyzer implements the calibration measurements using the measuring points. The processing device determines error matrices on the basis of the results of the calibration measurements. The network analyzer implements measurements on the device using simultaneously, exactly three measuring points. The processing device determines measured values in each case of a fourth measuring point on the basis of the calibration measurements and the measured values of the three measuring points.

Abstract: An approach is provided for providing a contextual model based upon user context data. A context modeling platform collects context data on offline activities of a user. The context modeling platform maps the collected user context data as context data points into a multidimensional contextual model. The context modeling platform causes, at least in part, actions that result in reception of at least one multidimensional contextual model of another user. The context modeling platform compares the multidimensional contextual model of the user with the multidimensional contextual model of the another user.

Abstract: A honeycomb structure includes at least one honeycomb unit which includes walls. The walls have a thickness of from about 0.10 mm to about 0.50 mm and extend along a longitudinal direction of the honeycomb structure to define through-holes. Abstract: A storage device and a method of accessing a status thereof are provided. The storage device is disposed in a host. The device data structure field of the storage device is adapted to record the status of the non-volatile memory. The control module is adapted to access the status according to a control signal from the host. Therefore, the operating system or the application of the host is capable of getting the status of the non-volatile memory to ensure the safety of the stored data.
Abstract: An approach is provided for determining the existence of an event based on information collected from mobile devices. Reception is caused, at least in part, of media from a plurality of mobile devices. A plurality of event vectors for the respective mobile devices is determined. Each of the event vectors includes geo-location information and timing information of the corresponding mobile device. The existence of the event is determined based on the received media and the event vectors.

Abstract: Devices are formed with an oxide liner and nitride layer before forming eSiGe spacers. Embodiments include forming first and second gate stacks on a substrate, forming an oxide liner over the first and second gate stacks, forming a nitride layer over the oxide liner, forming a resist over the first gate stack, forming nitride spacers from the nitride layer over the second gate stack, forming eSiGe source/drain regions for the second gate stack, subsequently forming halo/extension regions for the first gate stack, and independently forming halo/extension regions for the second gate stack. Embodiments include forming the eSiGe regions by wet etching the substrate with TMAH using the nitride spacers as a soft mask, forming sigma shaped cavities, and epitaxially growing in situ boron doped eSiGe in the cavities.
