Abstract: A cerebral interface system including a housing mechanism spaced at least partially in a cavity formed in the subject's skull; an attaching mechanism; a fluid-tight sealing mechanism; a control mechanism; a communication mechanism with one or more sensors embedded in the subject's brain connecting the control mechanism to the subject's brain; a power source; an inner wall substantially aligned with an inner surface of the subject's skull; an outer wall which may include an auxiliary portion extending tangentially outwardly from the cavity formed in the subject's skull; a communication link connecting the control mechanism to external apparatus for transmitting or receiving information related to detecting, predicting, controlling, or aborting abnormal brain activity of the subject; and an output mechanism which is activatable by the control mechanism.
Abstract: An automatic aquarium feeder apparatus including a body unit having a platform element; a platform wall on the platform element defining a cavity; a clamping mechanism for clamping the platform element to the walls of an aquarium; a drive mechanism including a battery-powered motor; and a food dispensing element having one or more first slots through the platform element, and a disk element rotatably driven by the motor and having one or more second slots that are alignable with the one or more first slots. Food in the cavity gravitationally drops through the first and second slots when aligned. The drive mechanism may include an alternating power on/power off timing mechanism.
Abstract: A drawer expander that includes a plurality of trays that are stacked on top of each other. Spring-biased arms connect the trays together so that the trays will open when the drawer is opened and close when the drawer is closed. One form of the drawer expander can be used in a drawer, and another form can be attached to the bottom surface of a support element so the expanding trays can act like drawers that expand when opened.
Abstract: A storage unit is rotatably mounted on one end of a liquid beverage container and contains a plurality of packets. Each packet has a flexible top and a frangible bottom and a flavored tablet is stored in each packet. The tablets dissolve in the liquid stored in the container when dropped thereinto and can be of various flavors to add flavors to the liquid contained in the container.
Abstract: A device for removing excess air pressure from a valve stem of a tire of a vehicle having a body with a cavity, an intake port for forming a fluid-tight seal with, extracting compressed air through the valve stem, located near the input end of the body, and conveying the air to the cavity; a control mechanism for selecting a desired magnitude of air pressure; a pressure-measuring mechanism for determining the magnitude of air pressure in the cavity; a display mechanism for displaying the selected magnitude of air pressure; and a release mechanism with a release valve and an exhaust port.
Abstract: A T-shaped unit includes a first section that is vertical when the unit is in use and a second section that is horizontal when the unit is in use. The first section includes two telescopingly connected elements and the second section includes two elements that are slidingly connected to the first section to slide in a horizontal plane. A soft furniture-engaging element is also included in the second section and one or more clips are provided to lock the sliding elements in a selected position.
