Abstract: The present invention is a tool lanyard specifically designed to aid the fly fisherman in his sport. The tool lanyard is assembled with a cable or on a monofilament line under tension such that the snap swivels, beads and tubing that are under compression result in an assembly in which the snap swivels stand out from the lanyard and the resultant friction keeps the snap swivels from moving around at will so that all items attached are well spaced and stay where they are positioned.

Abstract: A mounting cradle for mounting a portable cellular telephone in a vehicle. The cradle is adjustable in width, length and height, by a single pair of fasteners, to accommodate portable cellular telephones of varying sizes. The cradle and an associated cradle mount enable the telephone to be selectively and removably positioned at an angular orientation extending through a full 360 degrees, and also allow the cradle and telephone to be tilted through a substantial angle. The cradle has an adjustable compression spring, characterized by two levels of spring tension, for accommodating varying shock and vibration conditions.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an electric luminaria fixture. The fixture comprises a frame and associated legs, which support an electric lamp inside a bag to give the appearance of a traditional luminaria. The frame includes a semicircular clip which is adapted to support and retain lamp sockets of various sizes and shapes. The legs of the fixture include rotatable feet which can be nailed to a surface, and clips which attach the bag to the fixture. The fixture is preferably used with an inverted bag, to allow electrical wiring to extend unimpeded beneath the luminaria.

Abstract: An apparatus for stacking and cutting rolls of paper, in particular end rolls from the newspaper industry. The apparatus includes a rack assembly for stacking and unrolling the end rolls, and a cutting assembly including a pair of cylindrical rollers, at least one cutting device for cutting the paper into predetermined lengths, and preferably at least one cutting device for cutting the paper into predetermined widths.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an exhaust efficiency increasing apparatus incorporating crossover ducts between dual exhaust conduits extending from an engine having two cylinder banks. The ducts are disposed to communicate with upstream entry and downstream exit apertures on the exhaust conduits and cross in an "X". Since where the ducts are positioned affects engine torque, torque curves can be adjusted or changed by adjustably positioning the crossover ducts within a housing which is placed in the exhaust system, to move the crossover ducts nearer to or further from the engine, by computer or manual control. A second embodiment incorporates at least two spaced duct pairs disposed to increase low end torque and high end output.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a microprocessor based telemetry apparatus and method utilizing a commercially available IBM PC-AT or compatible CPU. Three hardware cards fit in existing slots within the computer chassis. Software is provided to accomplish, in combination with the cards, what has essentially required a main frame computer heretofore. The microcomputer is equipped with novel hardware and software to provide PCM bit synchronizer/decoder, decommutator, time code reader and digital-to-analog converter functions. Data is stored in real time using interleaved buffers, novel software and a hard disk. Data can be archived on digital tape. Data logging can be carried out at sustained rates approaching 2 million bits per second, up to six times faster than with MS-DOS yet files are accessible with MS-DOS. Real-time data scaling and display of up to 128 separate parameters are accomplished.

Abstract: A window sill armrest for motor vehicles. The armrest is hinged to freely accommodate vehicle window extension and retraction. Weighting means of sufficient mass is provided to ensure that the outer movable segment of the armrest is returned to a position flush with the vehicle window sill when the window is retracted.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a built-up granular structure having a stable moisture content controlled upper layer. The preferred granular structure includes an improved fine aggregate upper surface layer, a coarse aggregate reservoir layer having a topmost application of perforate adhesive material, and a dry moisture barrier layer having a topmost impervious layer. The entire layered structure is supported by any firm base including compacted soil or an existing playing court structure. A containment wall having screened drainage inlets/outlets surrounds the periphery of the structure.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to hand forceps usable by medical personnel, and others, to protect them from incurring injury and contamination when handling intravenous (IV) needles, suture needles, scalpels, and vessels containing body fluids, during surgical procedures and otherwise. The forceps comprises thumb and index finger encasing portions hinged together. A skirt area extends over a portion of the back of a user's hand from the base of the thumb and index finger encasing portions. The forceps can be made of various plastics, metals, and the like and can be coated with a trauma preventing, invasive device snagging layer of latex or similar material. Outwardly extending protective flanges can be provided longitudinally disposed on the thumb and index finger encasing portions. A central shield can also be provided.

Abstract: A bail-type animal trap for small rodents and the like, having a self-setting triggering mechanism. The trap includes a spring-loaded, bail-type striker which is hinged to the upper surface of the base. The striker is releasably retained in the cocked position by a resilient latch which is connected by a wire or rod to a trigger plate which is adapted to hold a piece of bait. The trigger plate engages a stop affixed to the base. The trigger plate includes an integral catch for engaging the stop, and an integral fulcrum which causes the trigger to release when it is either lifted, depressed, or moved sideways. The striker further includes a self-setter which returns the trigger plate to the set position each time the trap is sprung.

Abstract: A presser foot for a sewing machine comprising a bifurcated foot having first and second limbs. the first limb is about twice as wide as the second limb. Selectively spaced indentations are provided on at least one of the limbs to facilitate accurate stitching. The indentations can be on the tops or the sides of the limbs.
