  • Patent number: 7806409
Abstract: An electronic dart game allowing players to control and more closely simulate the offensive and defensive strategies of a game of football when compared to other dart games with a football theme. Each player can use remaining time on the clock to advantage, and continue play in first down increments, as long as minimum yardage gains are made in the time intervals allowed. The player starts anew with four darts each time a first down is achieved. Darts can score yard gains, yard losses, passes, fumbles, and interceptions. Punting and field goals can be attempted if clearly indicated in advance of throwing a dart. One distinction from a real football game is that there are no time outs, and players cannot stop the clock. A main computer control chip preferably coordinates the game board and scoring/control board used and maintains all aspects of the game in sequence once play begins.

  • Patent number: 7713042
Abstract: A rotary engine configured to use compressed air or high pressure steam to produce power. It has a casing with two peripheral exhaust ports each adjacent to a flattened area, a rotor having three slotted pistons, and a center valve with two opposed inlet ports that provide high pressure steam or compressed air to the pistons. Each rotor revolution produces three power strokes. Furthermore, the volume of air used for a single cycle is reduced, as a result of the air traveling through its pistons. Also, the engine stops when the vehicle it powers is at rest, and a spring inside each piston causes its angled tip to contact the rotary chamber upon start up. In addition, it is inexpensive to manufacture, as there is not much tooling needed to make the rotary engine, and it has only four moving parts, its rotor and the three pistons attached to it.

  • Patent number: 7710283
Abstract: A fluid-level sensing device that uses the interaction of a first magnet attached to the distal end of an external micro switch arm and a second magnet positioned within the distal end of a pivoting float body to close a circuit within the micro switch and create a shut-off signal to stop fluid production. A single housing holds the micro switch and float body, wherein magnetic forces acting through the housing wall between them and other magnet-positioning materials that separate the two magnets cause signal production. After float body deployment, manual reset of the float body is accomplished via its lever-like distal end. The main body of the micro switch, which it is snap-fit into a fixed position within the upper housing chamber for use, is entirely encapsulated in waterproof material to protect it from corrosion. Alternative ways for quick mounting of the housing to a fluid-collecting pan are contemplated.

  • Patent number: 7699013
Abstract: A water uptake device for directing water flow into a moving boat that allows the volume and pressure of the water flow entering the device to be adjusted from full force to no flow at all by simple adjustment of how much of its scooping member protrudes beyond its through-hull fitting into the water stream. Water enters the device through an opening in its deployable scooping member, and operator positioning of the scooping member relative to the through-hull fitting, including complete withdrawal of the scoop into the distal end of the through-hull fitting, is remotely accomplished so that the operator can remain at the helm. Multiple devices can be used on the same marine vessel, with all devices mounted on the bottom of its hull, in a standard fashion for through-hull fittings mounted below the waterline. Applications may include the filling of ballast bags for the sport of wakeboarding.

  • Patent number: 7698772
Abstract: A toothbrush with a head having at least one pair of twisted wire brushes secured to the head's top surface in a position that creates a narrow and substantially uniform trench between the bristles of opposing brushes. Head construction may be solid, curved, blunt, tapering, or have a forked distal end. When a user's brace hardware and/or orthodontic wires are placed within the trench, bristles adjacent to it reach tooth surfaces behind the orthodontic wires to gently remove plaque without wire or hardware breakage. The twisted wires of opposing conical brushes are not parallel so as to create a uniform trench. The twisted wires in narrow end of conical brushes are also angled toward the distal end of the toothbrush head to facilitate reaching crowded back teeth without orthodontic wire breakage. The toothbrush handle can be laterally angled relative to its head and brushes are optionally replaceable by the user.

  • Patent number: 7673646
Abstract: A fluid-collection pan configured for supporting a unit or system responsible for fluid damage risk to its surroundings. Multiple large egg-shaped supports upwardly extend from the pan's bottom surface and are integrated with it. They also each have an arcuate top surface that is transformed into an elliptical base as it meets the pan's bottom surface. Each support also has an upwardly-tapering protrusion with a convexly-shaped top edge that extends centrally from one of the longer sides of the elliptical base toward the support's top surface. The protrusion and the narrow sides of the elliptical base form a substantially triangular shape, which broadens the weight distribution of the supported fluid-causing unit across the pan's bottom surface. The top surface of each support also has a central indentation configured for receipt of a vibration isolator that provides contact with the supported unit. Optional stress-transmitting ribs may extend between adjacent egg-shaped supports.

  • Patent number: 7637387
Abstract: A one-size-fits-all pan configured for supporting a fluid-producing unit. It has a perimeter wall spaced apart from a raised central structure to provide a moat-like area for flow of collected fluid toward a wall-mounted shut-off switch. When a desired maximum amount of fluid collection is exceeded, an electrical signal is sent to stop fluid production. The raised central structure comprises a hub with radially-extending ribs that each widens into a bent distal end having non-uniform height and width dimensions, and top indentations for receipt of vibration isolators that support the fluid-producing unit at a height above that of the perimeter wall. The non-raised areas around the ribs are all connected to the moat-like area to facilitate even fluid distribution within the pan. The pan further has an up-turned perimeter lip, staggered gussets, and angled corners for added strength, and may optionally have a nesting configuration for compact storage and transport.

  • Patent number: 7621312
Abstract: A removal device and method of use that allows easy detachment of a suspended vertical blind slat's upper end from the generally C-shaped clip or other openable fastener suspending the slat for movement along a track. The device has a tubular and/or cylindrical configuration with preferred length and diameter dimensions of approximately four and two inches, respectively. Clip-releasing projections are connected across one end of the main body, in positions closely spaced apart from one another, but not in contact with one another. A light source can be optionally attached to the removal device in several configurations, to provide enhanced illumination of the fastener holding the vertical blind slat in place and thereby facilitate alignment of the lateral edges of the projections with the fastener before the needed upwardly-directed dislodging force is applied. Use of the removal device does not injure the projections, the slat, the operator, or the fastener.

  • Patent number: 7589287
Abstract: A carrier of loose items that a user can employ with a quick glance to determine whether the weight balance displayed on a screen indicates carried items in greater, lesser, or equivalent quantity than previously recorded. A physical inventory of carried items is avoided when the display screen shows a zero weight measurement. However, a non-zero display screen measurement provides time-saving information about the size of items missing or acquired. The carrier's upper portion, which detaches from a memory scale, is readily exchanged with other carriers of differing size and shape. Audible signaling means informs the user at the time the carrier/scale combination is lifted from a support surface if any items are missing or have been inadvertently acquired, to prevent a user from leaving or acquiring valuable tools/items. Other applications include, but are not limited to, transporting supplies relating to fishing, jewelry making, crafts, gardening, and the medical field.
