  • Patent number: 8346012
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a plurality of addition means and an image processing means. The addition means performs addition processing of adding pixels of a differential image at a second resolution representing a difference between an inputted image at a first resolution and an image at the second resolution higher than the first resolution as pixels of an inputted image at the second resolution. The image processing means is configured to perform second and subsequent addition processing, and generate an image of the second resolution as a processing result by performing the addition processing for a predetermined number of times. The addition processing is performed with inputs of an image at the first resolution and an image at the second resolution obtained by an immediately preceding addition processing, which are different from each other.

  • Patent number: 8347241
Abstract: A pattern generation method includes: acquiring a first design constraint for first patterns to be formed on a process target film by a first process, the first design constraint using, as indices, a pattern width of an arbitrary one of the first patterns, and a space between the arbitrary pattern and a pattern adjacent to the arbitrary pattern; correcting the first design constraint in accordance with pattern conversion by the second process, and thereby acquiring a second design constraint for the second pattern which uses, as indices, two patterns on both sides of a predetermined pattern space of the second pattern; judging whether the design pattern fulfils the second design constraint; and changing the design pattern so as to correspond to a value allowed by the second design constraint when the design constraint is not fulfilled.

  • Patent number: 8346092
Abstract: An antenna device is provided, which includes a first antenna unit and a second antenna unit. The first antenna unit includes a first radiation module, a power divider/combiner network connected to the first radiation module, and a feeder interface connected to the power divider/combiner network. The feeder interface is connected to a radio remote unit (RRU) or a macro base station through a feeder. The second antenna unit includes a second radiation module, a transceiver array connected to the second radiation module, a baseband processing unit (BPU) connected to the transceiver array, and an optical fiber interface connected to the BPU. The optical fiber interface is connected to a baseband unit (BBU) through an optical fiber. Therefore, after the existing passive antenna is replaced by the provided antenna device, the RRU or macro base station in the original network can still be used, which reduces waste of resources.

  • Patent number: 8346953
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and systems are provided to facilitate a second user to allow or deny a first user, such as a child, from accessing content by proving the second user with a content profile based on decisions made by other users with respect to the content. In one implementation, a system allows the second user to set a threshold to automatically allow or deny access based on the other users' decisions. The decisions made by other users are aggregated into information that may be based on similarities between the child and other children from whom other users have previously made decisions regarding the particular content. In addition, the aggregation may more heavily weight decisions by users that have a history of making similar decisions to the second user.

  • Patent number: 8343757
Abstract: This invention provides a new approach to the design of a virus with a defective replication cycle, which can be rescued by wild type virus co-infection, and which expresses foreign antigenic epitopes that contribute to the elimination of virus infected cells and then to viral clearance. The vector of the invention, by expression of epitopes derived from common pathogens, by-passes existing tolerance of virus specific T cell responses. The vector will only replicate in virus infected cells.

  • Patent number: 8345936
Abstract: A multispectral iris recognition system includes a multispectral camera adapted to acquire spatially registered iris images simultaneously in at least three wavelengths and a database adapted to store the acquired iris images. A texture analysis section identifies an area within each acquired iris image having a maximum texture at each of the wavelengths. The identified areas are combined to generate an enhanced iris image. Additionally, a visible light iris image is acquired and stored along with a set of transformation mappings in a database. The acquired visible light iris image is modeled in a texture model, which clusters textures from the acquired visible light iris image. A mapping is selected from the database for each of the clusters. The selected mappings are applied to the acquired visible light iris image to generate a Near-Infrared equivalent.

  • Patent number: 8340662
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and a system for implementing communications between multiple subnets covered by one physical Mobile Switching Center (MSC) and an MSC. The method includes the steps of: mapping one physical MSC to multiple logical MSCs, i.e. multiple virtual MSCs, and assigning a virtual MSC number to each virtual MSC, and setting relationship(s) between location area(s) covered by the virtual MSC and the virtual MSC number of each virtual MSC; transmitting location information of a terminal with the virtual MSC number during communications to implement communications among multiple subnets. During communication, since the terminal location is transmitted according to the virtual MSC number, it is possible to differentiate the terminals located in different subnets covered by a physical MSC, therefore the roaming and handover of the terminal between the subnets can be implemented; and the roaming limitation also can be implemented through the MSC List and VLR List.
