  • Patent number: 8302520
Abstract: A selection plate (39) is provided on a punch device (1) for activating or deactivating individual punch holding bars (13, 14). The plate has a coupling device (40) associated with a positive-locking coupling between a punch holding bar (13, 14) and the selection plate (39). Associated with the positive-locking coupling is an edge of the selection plate (39), that is provided with a recess (42), an extension (43) of the punch holding bar (13, 14) that extends around said edge, and/or a rib (41), which is located on the underside of the selection plate (39) and is associated with the punch holding bar (13, 14). As a result, it is possible to selectively establish or eliminate a positive-locking connection between the punch holding bar (13, 14) and the selection plate (39). Via the rib (41), the punch stroke of the selection plate (39) is merely transmitted to the punch holding bar (13 or 14), which is in positive-locking engagement with the lateral edge or the projections of the selection plate (39).

  • Patent number: 8299192
Abstract: Statistic comb polymers obtainable by the radical copolymerization of a vinylic poly(alkylenoxide) compound (A) with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer compound (B) according to the catalytic chain transfer method (CCT). The comb polymers are extremely suitable for hydraulic binder suspensions based on cement, lime, gypsum and anhydrite as they have, for the same dosage, an improved water reducing power over conventional flow agents. The corresponding building material mixtures are characterized by a substantially reduced stickiness and plastic viscosity once said comb polymers are added, which dramatically improves the plasticity of very cement-rich building material mixtures, such as concretes. The building material mixtures using the inventive flow agents have a considerably increased slump flow and an increased shear-thinning behavior as compared to conventional concretes without the tendency to segregate.

  • Patent number: 8295436
Abstract: Determine first information regarding physical-movement limitations pertaining to at least one multi-leaf collimator and also determine second information regarding movement of the treatment target with respect to the given patient. Then, while optimizing a radiation-treatment leaf-sequence plan, constrain individually-planned leaf positions as a function, at least in part, of the first information, the second information, and planned positions of adjacent leaves. By one approach, the first information can comprise information regarding a speed (such as a maximum speed) at which individual leaves of the multi-leaf collimator are able to move during a treatment session. By one approach, the second information can comprise information regarding a distance (such as a maximum distance) that one or more parts of the treatment target may possibly move as compared to a presumed position used during the optimizing of the radiation-treatment leaf-sequence plan.

  • Patent number: 8291642
Abstract: A first movable barrier operator is actuated in order to move a first movable barrier to a first predetermined position via a first movement and according to a first operating characteristic. A second operating characteristic is selected for moving a second movable barrier to a second predetermined position via a second movement. The second operating characteristic is chosen so that the second movement of the second movable barrier to the second predetermined position does not interfere with the first movement of the first movable barrier to the first predetermined position. A second movable barrier operator is actuated to move the second movable barrier to the second predetermined position via the second movement according to the second operating characteristic.
