Abstract: Several products and processes for preventing the occurrence of rust stains resulting from irrigation systems using water having iron ions, such as well water, and for cleaning off rust stains resulting from the use of said irrigation systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, ammonium sulfate is mixed with well water and then this mixture is mixed with incoming well water being sprayed on the surfaces. In another embodiment, ammonium bisulfate is used for the removal of rust stains. Then ammonium sulfate is mixed with the incoming well water being sprayed in the next cycle, to prevent rust formation.
Abstract: A holder for an outrigger is disclosed which has a housing for mounting the holder on top of a structural part of a boat. The holder can be rotated in a horizontal plane to various fixed positions by means of a rotatable, retractable handle positioned below the structural part of the boat. The weight of the holder is taken by in internal structure of the housing, such that, during rotation to another position, the holder weight is not transferred to the handle; thereby making it easier to rotate the holder.
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for simulating an “in use” condition in a telephone line, so that incoming calls will get a busy signal and, therefore, will not ring all telephones on that line.

Abstract: A disc brake which is particularly designed for arcuate travel of less than 360 degrees has sector shaped segments, i.e. segments which are not complete circles and which are interleaved into a disc pack of multiple layers, wherein some layers of the disc pack each consist of a single disc segment which is less than a complete circle. Some segments are rotatable about an axis and others are stationary and have friction brake material carried on them at a position remote from the axis of rotation.
Abstract: An apparatus is described, combining a portable outrigger holder with a fishing rod holder; so that both can be moved to a plurality of positions in both a horizontal plane and a vertical plane.
Abstract: A disc brake which is particularly designed for arcuate travel of less than 360 degrees has pie shaped segments, i.e. segments which are not complete circles which are interleaved. Some segments are rotatable about an axis and others are stationary and have friction brake material carried on them at a position remote from the axis of rotation.
Abstract: An outrigger holder for mounting on the top of a T-Top configured boat, has a bearing mechanism mounted above the T-Top designed to relieve most of the weight of the outrigger when turning the holder and outrigger to alternate positions.

Abstract: Agents are used as cleaning agents and also as agents to purify the water in water treatment plants. The agents are a mixture of phosphates and fatty acid salts. Precipitation agents are used such as, polyvalent metals. The pH is adjusted. Flocking agents can be used to increase the rate of separation. The purified water is removed after precipitation.
Abstract: A two-drag mode, front and rear configuration spinning reel has a trip mode selector switch means. This switch means lets the reel be used in the free spool shaft condition to rotate a rotor frame and take up line upon turning the handle, without automatically shifting the device into the condition of a locked up spool shaft. The switch also allows for both the automatic and manual modes at the preference of the user.
Abstract: A multi-purpose hydraulic tool of the open center and closed center type is provided with an OC/CC knob mounted on the trigger activated spool. The spool has a knob which can be turned to easily move between OC and CC operating conditions, without the use of additional tools. A check spool assembly works in conjunction with spool assembly in the open-center condition to provide for release of oil at the end of the return stroke. Adapters are provided so that crimping heads can be easily interchanged.
Abstract: A spinning reel has a level wind system wherein a slot is formed in the crosswind block. A lobe is carried on a crosswind gear. The surfaces of the lobe interact with the surfaces in the block. There are three curved surfaces on the lobe and four working surfaces in the block.
Abstract: An outrigger has a plurality of telescoping tubes capable of being retracted and extended with respect to one another, and a sleeve between the tubes; and the tubes and sleeve having longitudinal tracking comprising interlocking protrusions and grooves to permit the tubes to be retracted and extended, while preventing substantial relative rotation therebetween. There is a ring attached to the outer tube; by readily detachable screws.
Abstract: A drag mechanism in a fishing reel has a friction material impregnated with a phenolic resin before it is laminated to a drag plate. The material is 30% phenolic coated 99+% carbon fabric.
Abstract: A plastic template is disclosed with elongated slots and circular holes in it. The template can be put on a piece of paper and by running pencil through the various slots, all of the scales, chords, and intervals can be produced on the paper to form a guide. The guide can then be moved along the space between the keys and the fallboard of the piano, so that all of these scales can be played by anyone placing their fingers on the keys indicated by the lines on the guide. The edge of the template has small notches in it, so that marks can be made for the lines for music staves which can then be drawn. The template has circular holes in it above the slots. The circles can then be used by placing them over these lines and then marking them with a pencil to indicate various notes of the given musical structure.
Abstract: A guide is disclosed with vertical numerically color coded lines on it. The guide can then be moved along the space between the keys and the fallboard of the piano, so that the keys can be played by anyone placing their fingers on the keys indicated by the lines on the guide. Sheet music is prepared with numbers and colors juxtaposed to the notes corresponding to the lines, so that the piano student will know which keys to stroke.
