Abstract: A brake early warning system for a vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle has (1) a steering column assembly (500) having a plurality of components, and (2) a vehicle broadcast system, which includes brake lights, a horn, and headlights. The brake early warning system includes a movement sensor (20) which is connected to the steering column assembly (500), and senses relative movement between two of the steering column assembly (500) components when a driver braces against the steering wheel (508) in an urgent braking situation. In such cases, movement sensor (20) senses relative movement, and generates a signal which activates the brake lights, horn, and headlights, thereby alerting any following driver, as well as others in the vicinity, that the vehicle has commenced rapid braking. In a second embodiment the brake early warning system includes inputs of both the weight of the driver and the force applied to the steering wheel, both of which affect the behavior of the system.

Abstract: Locking pliers for grasping an object include a body and a sliding jaw member having a first jaw, the sliding jaw member slidably connected to a body wherein the sliding jaw member may be selectively positioned with respect to the body. A rotating jaw member has an integral second jaw and is rotatably connected to the body. A locking handle is also rotatably connected to the body, the locking handle combining with the rotating jaw member to form an over center mechanism. The sliding jaw member is slidably positioned so that the first and second jaws contact the object. Then the rotating jaw member and the locking handle are urged together activating the over center mechanism to firmly grasp the object.

Abstract: Cargo carry apparatus (220) for a tractor (500) of a semitrailer truck includes a rotatable deck (222) mounted between the fifth wheel (502) and the cab which pivots from a vertical position to a horizontal position until the deck rests upon the fifth wheel (502). Deck (222) includes a primary deck (224) and a longitudinally extendable secondary deck (226) which is slidably connected to primary deck (224) and may be pulled out to form an enlarged deck area. A leveler (231) is connected to secondary deck (226) to provide a coplanar surface with primary deck (224) so that a 20 foot cargo container (600) or other large load may be levelly loaded on tractor (500).

Abstract: A jumpsuit is provided for meeting the needs of a woman. The jumpsuit has a cicumferential fastener which when closed fully connects upper and lower portions of the suit. When the fastener is fully opened, the lower portion is partially separated from the upper portion. When the woman then squats, the lower portion may be pulled down the thighs away from the crotch.

Abstract: A suspension system for a multi-axle transport vehicle for moving heavy loads includes two fluid activated cylinders and two spaced apart arms for each wheel and axle set which allow the transport vehicle to be raised and lowered with respect to the roadway. The suspension system mechanically stabilizes the axles with respect to the transport vehicle thereby reducing axle yaw and allowing higher transport speeds.
