Abstract: A stable 6-methoxy-2?,3?-dideoxyguanosine comprises 6-30% water content. It is prepared by absorbing water in 6-methoxy-2?,3?-dideoxyguanosine with less than 6% water content at low temperature and certain humidity, or drying 6-methoxy-2?,3?-dideoxyguanosine with more than 30% water content. The stable 6-methoxy-2?,3?-dideoxyguanosine can be used to prepare medicament composition, and be used to manufacture pharmaceutical for fighting hepatitis B virus or HIV.
Abstract: An on-off flow valve extends along an axis and has a valve body through which a supply duct and a delivery duct pass; a main shutter assembly; and a cover fitted to the valve body by means of a snap-on coupling system.
Abstract: In a machine for filling capsules, each of which defined by a bottom and a cap, with pharmaceutical products, the bottoms and the caps of the capsules are moved forward in sequence about a plurality of wheels provided with at least two actuating members movable under the control of respective tappets engaged in respective cams to open and close the capsules themselves, respectively; the cams being obtained on the outer surface of a drum mounted to rotate about a rotation axis parallel to the rotation axes of the wheels.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a caulk tool comprises a body member having a raised handle and two working heads. The first working head is adapted for the application of caulk and is connected to the first descending end of the raised handle. The first working head preferably comprises a triangular member formed of soft plastic material. The triangular member is rotatable, having three tips of varying size. The second working head is adapted for the removal of old caulk and is connected to the second descending end of the raised handle axially opposed to the first working head. The second working head preferably comprises a metallic head having two tips suited to remove old caulk. In a preferred embodiment, a third working head in the form of a flat scraper is positioned adjacent to said second working head.

Abstract: In an embodiment, call information is received indicating that a called party, responsive to receiving a call from a calling party, desires to record a complaint against the calling party relating to receipt of the call. A call complaint based on the call information is added to a complaint database. Call rejection information based on the call information is forwarded to a call rejection database configured to indicate blocking of further calls from the calling party to the called party. The complaint information may be forwarded to the complaint database through a number of different communications paths. In another embodiment, a request for a change in status of an identifier entry on a user call rejection list is received. The status of the identifier entry on the user call rejection list is changed based on a comparison of the current status of the identifier entry with the request.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing an accumulator having a fixed electrolyte. The inventive method is characterized by introducing an electrolyte in a flowable form into the accumulator cell and fixing the electrolyte and forming the active mass simultaneously inside the accumulator cell. The device for carrying out the inventive method comprises a filler head (1), an acid reservoir (3), a thickener reservoir (4), a metering pump for the acid (6.1+6.2), a metering pump for the thickener (5.1+5.2) and a flowmeter for the thickener (9.1+9.2) and the acid (10.1+10.2).

Abstract: A contact lens (4) comprises a solid component capable of imparting shape and structure to said lens, and a liquid component, at least partially contained in the solid component, capable of favoring the compatibility between said lens and the eye of a user of said lens, wherein the liquid component comprises a solution capable of being used as a lachrymal substitute.
Abstract: A filtering device for filtering water and liquids in general comprises a first reservoir for collecting the water to be filtered, a second reservoir for collecting the filtered water, which reservoir is supplied by falling from the first reservoir, a conduit which extends from the first reservoir into the second reservoir, a cartridge type filtering element which is removably received in the conduit, a discharge hole for the filtered water that is positioned between the conduit and the second reservoir, and at least one opening for access to the cartridge provided at an end of the conduit that is distal from the first reservoir in order to promote the removal thereof. The device comprises an at least partial closure which can be removably fitted to the conduit in the region of the opening for access to the cartridge and comprises a flow adjuster which is associated with the conduit in order to adjust the flow of water flowing from the first reservoir to the second reservoir through the discharge hole.
Abstract: System comprising a server of webpages (2) containing a form which is accessible from a remote computer (52) by the user, a main server (1) and a number of contact centers (4) which have, at least, a telephone terminal (43), a computer (44) and a webcam (41) connected to a videoconferencing server (42), to link an agent to the user, and a PBX or secondary automatic private center (3) connected to the main server (1) to establish a telephone connection between the user and the agent, and the main server (1) comprises routing means of the computer (44) and of the videoconferencing server (42) of the contact center (4). The procedure consists in that, once the form has been filled out, the PBX carries out a call to the user, and if picked up, searches for the most appropriate contact center, establishing a direct telephone communication, while the main server (1) creates a videoconference virtual room through which the unidirectional video transmission of the webcam (41) is routed exclusively for the user.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing and controlling a butterfly valve for an internal combustion engine; the manufacturing and control method includes the steps of: establishing a maximum gaseous flow rate value which may flow through the feeding pipe when the butterfly plate is in the closing position; determining a conventional closing position at which the gaseous flow rate which flows through the feeding pipe is essentially equal to the maximum gaseous flow rate value; driving an actuator device so as not to normally pass the conventional closing position; and dimensioning the position of a catch element, so that when a rotational shaft abuts against the catch element the gaseous flow rate which flows through the feeding pipe is essentially lower than the maximum gaseous flow rate value.
