  • Patent number: 7964094
Abstract: A solvent filtration and recovery system for filtration and recovery of a solvent-based liquid used in dry cleaning includes filtration tank having filter chamber with motor-driven spin filters which are selectively operated. A valve and conduit arrangement allows the liquid from dry cleaning to enter the filter chamber for filtering and flows out as filtered liquid while the spin filters are not rotating. The arrangement allows initial at least partial draining of the solvent-based liquid in the filter chamber after such filtration procedure. A recovery tank is in communication with the filtration tank through a main drain. A motor drives the spin filters during a recovery procedure, in which centrifugal force caused by the rotating spin filters for a predetermined amount of time removes by-product from the spin filters, which is drained off from the filtration tank. A reservoir stores the solvent-based liquid and receives the liquid from both the recovery tank and the filtration tank.

  • Patent number: 7938380
Abstract: A vertically adjustable overhang bracket uses an elongate base component adapted to be supported from a support column. A frame member is slidably secured to the base component to allow movement of the frame along the length of the elongate base component. The frame is of a shape to provide an outwardly extending support member for supporting concrete formwork members to one side of the base component. An actuator controls the position of the frame, relative to the elongate base component. With this arrangement, concrete formwork can be more easily supported in a cantilevered manner from support columns and vertically adjusted quickly to the proper position. Removal of the formwork is simplified as the frame can be lowered, relative to the base component providing clearance for removal of the bracket and the formwork.

  • Patent number: 7700131
Abstract: Powders having contact biocidal properties comprise a polysaccharide carrying atomic/metallic silver. The preferred polysaccharide is chitin, although other polysaccharides including chitosan, carboxymethyl celluloses and carrageenans can be used. The chitin may be obtained from deproteinated crustacean shells without demineralisation, thus being admixed with calcium carbonate and other naturally occurring minerals present in the shells, and may be enzyme deacetylated. The powders of the invention can be used as biocidal dusting powders, formulated into pastes, gels, hydrogels, creams, foams and aerosol sprays for pharmaceutical applications, or dissolved to form solutions for coating substrates such as skin, fabrics, glass, leather and paper to give a bactericidal surface. A particular application of such a solution is as a protective, post-wash treatment for workwear in a laundering process.

  • Patent number: 7664627
Abstract: An inspiration model device according to the invention is provided with a spontaneous emotion unit, a knowledge database, and a conception unit. The spontaneous emotion unit prepares, as data, plural emotion states in advance, which are obtained by modeling human emotions, and causes state transitions to occur repeatedly between the emotion states according a stochastic model of the Schrödinger equation. The knowledge database simulates a human inspiration source that is influenced by sensibility by classifying externally collected knowledge data depending on the degrees of correlation with the emotion states, and accumulates the knowledge data. When receiving an external input, the conception unit simulates human conception by combining the external input with an emotion state of the spontaneous emotion unit and searching the knowledge database for related knowledge data using, as a search key, the combination or the like.

  • Patent number: 7624872
Abstract: A container for storing and dispensing consumer products can be used in place of conventional blister packs for packaging of pills, tablets or capsules, or as multi-cavity containers for organizing and storing mixed medication for subsequent dispensation according to a predefined dosage regimen. It has a tray (1) having a generally planar top surface (2) into which has been formed one or more discrete cavities (3) for receiving consumer products. A sheet (10) is adhered to the top surface (2) using a peelable adhesive to seal the one or more cavities (3). The sheet has pre-formed tear lines (13) defining a tear-off portion (12) per cavity to retain consumer product in that cavity until it is removed by tearing along its tear line. Each tear-off portion has low vapor transmission properties created by a patch (24) with high vapor barrier properties.

  • Patent number: 7624887
Abstract: Transport packaging, capable of being erected or folded, and when erected serving as a shipper for commercial packaging of goods. The packaging is defined by a structural framework [100] capable of carrying a sheath, film wrap or cover, or other materials of vessel-forming character to hold and protect products to be transported within the framework. The framework when erected provides contents-receptive configuration to protect the packing and its contents against the stresses of filling, storage, distribution, merchandising and use of the packaging. The framework has a plurality of horizontal and vertical members [102, 103, 105, 106, 107, 108, 110, 111], wherein horizontal members define lengthwise structural elements and the vertical members define upright structural elements, together defining an exoskeleton having windowed open frame panels of the framework joined pivotally at lower and fixedly/securely at upper corners defined by the upright structural elements.

  • Patent number: 7344726
Abstract: In a process for the preparation of an article having a contact biocidal property, there is provided a polymer solution which contains atomic/metallic silver in suspension or complexed with the polymer and/or which contains a silver compound in solution, in suspension or complexed with the polymer. This polymer solution is applied to a substrate by impregnation or surface deposition, thus coating the substrate. Alternatively, it is possible to convert the polymer solution to a fibre, film, powder or foam, effectively forming the article from the polymer solution instead of coating an existing article. In either case, any silver compound present is reduced to atomic/metallic silver, and the resultant article is dried. Chitosan is preferably used as the polymer, although poly(vinyl alcohol) and sodium alginate can also be used. The polymer may be cross-linked at a suitable point in the process to insolubilize it.
