    Abstract: A pin contact of a connector and a method of fabricating the pin contact which enables a substantial decrease of manufacturing cost, and smooth installation of the pin connector without a change in the pitch of arrangement at the time of press-fitting into a pin housing. A flat metal sheet undergoes blanking and pressing to form a narrow piece including a strip portion of decreased area of a fracture. Then an approximately L-shaped connecting portion is bent at right angles to raise the narrow piece sideways. Thereafter the strip portion of the narrow piece is pressed along the direction of rising, to thereby form an approximately cylindrical contact section. A raised piece at the rear of the contact section is provided with a locking section which faces approximately at right angles with the direction of arrangement.

    Abstract: A position sensor for a throttle valve, the position sensor including a housing having a partition wall separating an attachment chamber and a sensor accommodating chamber, each of which include an outer opening. The partition wall defines a central opening. The housing is connected to a case of the throttle valve such that the outer opening of the attachment chamber is closed by the throttle valve case. A drive shaft of the throttle valve is connected to a driven shaft mounted in the attachment chamber, the driven shaft being rotatably supported on the partition wall. A sliding-element receiver is located within the accommodating chamber and is connected through the central opening in the partitioning wall to the driven shaft. The driven shaft and the sliding-element receiver cooperate to close the central opening of the partition wall. A insulating substrate is disposed within the accommodating chamber opposite to the sliding-element receiver.

    Abstract: A module for optical communication which is capable of securely preventing reflection even if there are variations in the urging force of a ferrule and also of protecting an antireflection member from damage. A holding stopper for holding an antireflection member and also for positioning a ferrule is installed coaxially in a housing. A ferrule holding member for holding the ferrule is coaxially mounted on the holding stopper. When the ferrule is urged by a spring or other urging member and inserted in the ferrule holding member, the distal end of the ferrule first comes in contact with the apex of the antireflection member, causing the antireflection member to deform according to the distal end surface of the ferrule, then the distal end of the ferrule comes in contact with the reference surface of the holding stopper so that it is positioned and fixed in the direction of an optical axis.

Before loading of a disc cartridge, a slide plate is locked by the locking claw at a backward position, so that a holder is maintained at an unloading position, whereas, when the disc cartridge is loaded, the rotating member is rotated by the disc cartridge, so that locking by the locking claw is dismissed to allow the holder to be shifted to a loading position while enabling a shutter of the disc cartridge to be opened by the shutter actuating pin.

    Abstract: An on-vehicle receiving system for optimizing the receiving performance of a radio receiver and a remote controlled receiver, whereby a remote-controlled receiver and a radio receiver share an on-vehicle antenna. A key detector for detecting whether an ignition key is fitted into a key cylinder of the vehicle is employed and a selector switch for connecting the on-vehicle antenna selectively to the remote-controlled receiver or the radio receiver are incorporated. When the key detector detects that the ignition key is fitted into the key cylinder, the selector switch selects the radio receiver. When it is detected that the ignition key is not fitted into the key cylinder, the remote-controlled receiver is selected. In one embodiment, a remote-controlled receiver and a radio receiver share not only an on-vehicle antenna but also part of receiving equipment. The remote-controlled receiver and radio receiver can also share the frequency and modulation form employed.

    Abstract: A disc loading/ejecting mechanism and a disc player including the same wherein a disc is clamped by a guide member and a roller during loading and ejection. The roller is tapered from its ends toward its central portion such that the smallest diameter is at the central portion. A guide top is pivotally connected to a casing of the disc player and includes lower surfaces in the shape of upside-down "V"s having inclined surfaces which come closer to the roller at both end portions thereof. Opposing edges of an inserted disc are clamped by the inclined surfaces and tapered portions of the roller. However, since the guide top pivots on a support shaft, the guide top follows the position of the disc so that uniform carrying force is always provided to the disc.
