Abstract: Applying photoresist to silicon wafers in the manufacture of integrated circuit chips by carrying the wafers upon a rotor in a chamber and spraying from a plurality of nozzles in the chamber toward the rotor for application to the wafers.
Abstract: A mixing apparatus for mixing components that interact chemically, preferably polyurethane-forming components, the apparatus including a control plunger disposed within a housing and movable along a mixing chamber between opposing inlet and return ports, the control plunger having along its wall surface return grooves for connecting the inlet ports to the return ports when the plunger is in a position blocking communication between the inlet ports and the mixing chamber wherein a wall surface portion of the control plunger which in the closing position of the plunger is disposed intermediate the return ports is provided with discrete recesses which mutually overlap in the direction of movement of the control plunger.
Abstract: A container with an air tight lip incorporating a check valve for only evacuating air from the container by a piston suction pump sealed against the lip and around the check valve; the pump being arranged to receive manual pressure to produce the suction stroke and to simultaneously enhance the seal between the lip and the pump.
Abstract: A three-dimensional componental module at "T" modified for industrial preformation of buildings, comprising a fundamental dissymmetrical module at "T" with a vertical slab substaining a horizontal slab presenting two flanges and on its upper surface projection-ribbings, said fundamental module developing prevalently in a longitudinal sense, is described. From said module are derived, by subtraction of the parts both of the horizontal and the vertical slabs, all the elements necessary and sufficient for the realization of buildings of the most varied distributive physionomy, means being foreseen for realizing, on said horizontal slab and on the heads of the adjacent elements, zones of casting in loco conveniently reinforced.
Abstract: A funnel-shaped receptacle with a neck portion adapted for sealing attachment to the neck portion of a gas tank, the neck portion having disposed therein a rigid tube running vertically from the mouth of the neck and then horizontally to an outer side of the receptacle. A flexible tube is connected to the outside portion of the rigid tube and runs to the upper portion of the receptacle, where it is detachably secured to a lip member integrally formed on the receptacle. A metal screen is disposed within the receptacle across the neck portion thereof. When fuel overflows into the receptacle during the pouring operation, pouring is discontinued and the flexible tube is detached from the receptacle and inserted into the pouring container, after it has been placed on the ground, to thereby cause siphoning of the overflow fuel back into the pouring container, to completely eliminate waste or spillage of fuel.
Abstract: In an automotive clutch having a clutch disc clamped between the flywheel and a movable pressure plate held by strong springs anchored on the rotating cover and lifted by action of a throw out bearing movable concentrically of the transmission input shaft to engage the release fingers which lift the pressure plate, and a clutch pedal in the operator's compartment of the vehicle, a linkage for moving the throw out bearing against the release fingers, the linkage including a length adjustable hydraulic fluid filled link and a valve thereon to bleed off a small quantity of the hydraulic fluid when the release fingers bear firmly against the throw out bearing while the linkage is in rest position to relieve pressure on the hydraulic fluid and allow the throw out bearing to move away from the release fingers.
Abstract: Rice drying apparatus, a dryer directing heated air through the rice being dried, a control maintaining predetermined differential between the wet bulb and dry bulb temperature of the air used in drying, a modulating apparatus controlling the heat of the burner, the method of establishing a predetermined differential between wet bulb and dry bulb temperature of the air used in drying rice and the like, and subsequently increasing the differential as drying proceeds.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for rebuilding advance weights of a distributor assembly. The apparatus includes a drilling fixture having a hole and a weight-engaging balance pin positioned to one side of the hole, and a stepped pin having a large diameter shank accommodated by the hole in the drilling fixture and a small diameter shank accommodating deformed oblong holes of the advance weights. The method includes positioning the deformed oblong hole of the advance weight on the small diameter shank of the stepped pin establishing the original axis of the original hole, balancing the advance weights against the balance pin, removing the stepped pin, and drilling the deformed oblong holes in the advance weights out to an oversized round hole. Subsequently, the advance weights are reinstalled with a nylon bushing in the bored oversized hole on the pins of the distributor assembly. The apparatus of the drilling fixture and stepped pin can be sold in an over-the-counter kit at auto part stores and repair facilities.
Abstract: A picture viewer having an enclosure including a housing or frame and a slider movable in the housing, the frame and slider defining a compartment for a pile of pictures, a separator bar or pile transporter in the enclosure, an individual picture transporter accomplishing loosening of an individual picture from the pile and transporting the individual picture away from the pile, the loosening being accomplished by surface retentive means engaging the face of the individual picture at an end of the pile, such retentive means taking any of a number of different forms including forms which adhere, apply suction, are magnetically or electrostatically attractive, or otherwise retentively related to the face of the individual picture, the surface retentive means, in several forms of the invention, accomplishing the transporting function as well as loosening function, and in other forms of the invention the transporting being accomplished by separate transporting devices.
Abstract: A support arrangement for a plurality of tape cassette containers stacked to form a block, the block being held together by a sheath of foamed plastic material stretched thereabout and leaving accessible front faces of the containers where cassettes may be inserted or removed. The sheath has means to permit easy mounting of the entire block with its sheath in a releasable manner on a holder which, in turn, has means to fasten it at the wall of a vehicle, the holder being flexible or provided with pivots permitting positional adjustment of the block for convenient handling.

Abstract: A card index comprises a housing containing a drawer which holds a stack of punched cards. All the cards have punched holes in which a row of dogs in the bottom of the drawer engage and the cards also have punched selection holes in which selection stop cams can engage. Each card has selection holes in register with all of the stop cams except one. To select a card, a button corresponding to the card is pressed and this rocks a key lever to move the corresponding stop cam downwards. The cam passes through the selection holes in all the cards until it reaches the selected card which has no hole in register with that cam. Accordingly, the selected card and the cards, if any, below are pressed downwards and are held on the dogs. The drawer is released by depression of the button and is opened by a spring. As it opens, the drawer moves the cards which are pressed down on the dogs out of the housing with the selected card on top, but the cards above the selected card are retained in the housing by the stop cam.
Abstract: A shot blasting machine for shot blasting wire or rod-like material is of the kind comprising two centrifuge wheels in a closed housing which has an inlet for blasting shot or sand, means for conducting the wire rod material to be blasted through the housing between the centrifuge wheels, and an outlet for scale blasted from the wire or rod material. The centrifuge wheels are rotated in the same direction as each other, the region between the wheels where blasting takes place is divided into two sections by a wall, which permits the passage of the material to be blasted through the region, the shot or sand, in operation passing from one wheel to the other wheel in one section and from the other wheel to the one wheel in the other section, and a guide device being disposed adjacent each centrifuge wheel one in each section to direct the shot or sand from the wheel against the material to be blasted.
Abstract: An arcuate-shaped upper jaw is pivotally attached near its inner end to the outer end of the stick member extending from the boom assembly of a backhoe, and an arcuate-shaped lower jaw is pivotally connected to the inner end of the upper jaw, the lower jaw further being pivotally connected by means of a rod or a hydraulic cylinder to the underside of the stick member. A double-acting hydraulic cylinder disposed on the stick member causes movement of the upper jaw, which thereby effects movement of the lower jaw, such that the jaws can be moved together for clamping or apart for a raking operation by the lower jaw.
