The strap has at least one connection member on each end to allow the corner protector to be adjusted vertically. The plate or rod has at least one locking member for creating a locking mechanism with the connection member.

The data processing module monitors the data to determine if it corresponds to a set of defined reports. If the data is relevant, the processing module updates the defined reports. The analytics module accesses the database to retrieve information satisfying operator queries about network usage. If the operator chooses to convert the query into a defined report, the analytics module creates a newly defined report and populates it accordingly.

In an example, a network access control (NAC) server receives network address requests from hosts on a network. If a host is compliant with an established security policy, the NAC server determines a unique indicium for the host and records the unique indicium along with a network address leased to the host by a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server. When a host requests access to a resource on the network, the host is authenticated by determining whether its asserted network address is valid. If valid, a pre-computed unique indicium for that address is obtained and compared with a unique indicium for the host. If the indicia match, the host is allowed access to the resource. Otherwise, the host is blocked from access to the resource.

The safety shield is slidably disposed about the needle cannula and releasably retained in a proximal position and can be moved to a distal position where the safety shield completely surrounds that portion of the needle hub projecting distally from the hub. The needle assembly includes a spring for propelling the safety shield to the distal position and a latch for releasing the safety shield from the proximal position. The latch may be passively activated by normal usage of the medical implement to which the needle assembly is mounted or alternately activated manually.
