  • Patent number: 4676313
Abstract: This invention contemplates a method of enhancing oil and/or gas recovery by properly drilling injection and production wells into a reservoir, incorporating flow control valves and sensors in both sets of wells, and connecting these valves and sensors to a surface computer. The computer compares the fluid flow data from the valves and sensors to a theoretical flow model of the reservoir to determine actual fluid flow paths in the reservoir. The computer then determines the optimum fluid flow rates and paths and adjusts the valve open-close patterns and settings accordingly, to force the reservoir fluid flows into those paths. The computer continually performs these operations so as to constantly provide maximum sweep efficiency and therefore optimum reservoir productivity. In conjunction with the above methodology, the densities and viscosities of the injected fluids can be varied so that they can assist with the vertical movement of fluids within the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4676839
Abstract: An electrically powered automated golf club grip cleaning unit for sequentially cleaning a full set of golf clubs essentially as fast as the operator can insert and withdraw the clubs from the unit. The automated unit comprises a closed, water tight housing that is divided into an upper and a lower compartment having a rotating (carousel-like) lid that accepts a plurality of inverted golf club shafts and grips through openings into the top compartment and spins the clubs while advancing them through a wash and rinse zone while making abrasive contact with spinning brushes within the upper compartment and simultaneously recycling wash water as well as rinse water accumulating in partitioned reservoirs in the lower compartment back to the upper compartment for cleaning the grips of the golf clubs. The apparatus further provides continuous bleed-off of some of the recirculating rinse water and make-up of fresh water.

  • Patent number: 4673185
Abstract: A game apparatus is comprised of a plurality of six sided, hexagonal, tiles each tile having one planar side which is divided by indicia into six separate triangular shaped spaces, with each space being one of two differentiating colors in accordance with the mathematical possibilites of combinations or arrangement of such colors for all of the tiles where no two tiles are alike. A division line divides the tile into two sections of three triangular spaces. In one of the sections a third indicia or dot is placed at the center triangular space on a certain number of tiles, as a further identifying mark in the playing of the game. Two additional hexagonal pieces are of solid color one of one color the other of the other color. One of such additional pieces includes the third indicia in every other space and includes no division line. The game is played by matching three or more spaces, color for color or third indicia, i.e.

  • Patent number: 4671276
Abstract: A system for adjusting the curvature of the cornea of the eye involves inserting a plastic split end adjusting ring into the stroma of the cornea by first making a first incision in the cornea above the corneal ring at about the eight millimeter chord, then inserting one end of a metal split end dissecting ring into the incision with the trailing end of the dissecting ring remaining outside the cornea. The one end of the dissecting ring has a transverse hole therein near its tip end. The dissecting ring is held by a magnetic holding and rotating device which has a concave end surface and circular groove therein for receiving the metal dissecting ring and for holding it in a circular shape. As the holder is rotated the inserted end of the metal ring is magnetically forced to follow rotation of the holder thus the dissecting ring is inserted in a circular path within the stroma.
