Abstract: Disclosed is a network number management system constructed so as not to reduce the number of subscriber telephone numbers registrable in a switch even if any number of network numbers are registered in this switch. One local switch is registered with a telephone number of a specified terminal which consists of a telephone exchange number set to this switch itself and arbitrary numerals, and has a telephone number management table for registering information for indicating whether or not the specified terminal exists in an area within a coverage of this switch itself. When receiving a call setting request in which the telephone number of the specified terminal serves as a connection request telephone number, the telephone number management table is retrieved, and, if registered with information for indicating non-existence of the specified terminal, the call setting request is transferred towards a service control point (SCP).
Abstract: In a high-speed address translation system provided in a computer system including a logical address space storing logical addresses, a physical address space for storing physical addresses and a microprocessor unit connected to both address spaces, and the microprocessor unit including a memory management unit (MMU), the system according to the present invention includes; a TLB provided in the MMU for translating the logical address to the physical address; and a unit for adjusting a size of each section formed of a file to a predetermined page size in an offline process in accordance with memory allocation designed in the offline process.
Abstract: In a predistorter, an input signal to be inputted into an amplifier is in advance modified by a reverse characteristic of an input-to-output characteristic of the amplifier. The predistorter determines correction coefficients corresponding to one or both of a differential and an integral of the input signal so as to further modify the input signal into a final predistortion signal according to the modified input signal and the correction coefficients.
Abstract: A device interfacer detects asynchronously occurring changes in function attributes in a device, and transmits the change attribute data to a database system. Then, a database system writes the changes to the database in a memory or an external storage device. A change point detection unit monitors the changes in the attribute record specified in the database, and asynchronously generates events for an object management software or the device interfacer corresponding to a change when any change occurs in the attribute record.

Abstract: An RS232C driver inside target firmware controls an RS232C interface. An OS debugger steals an input to and an output from another function block that is the actual target firmware, and exchanges that input and output with the RS232C driver 1005. This configuration makes it possible to easily connect a device that executes the target firmware to, for example, a personal computer, using a general purpose RS232C interface, and makes it possible to easily obtain debugging operation using the PC side debugger.

Abstract: A communication route monitoring system monitors a communication route in an ATM network with OAM loopback cells. The communication route monitoring system has a first OAM loopback cell delivering unit disposed in one of the communication devices which performs a network management function, a first returning and relaying unit disposed in each of the communication devices, and a communication route recognizing unit disposed in the communication device which performs the network management function. The first OAM loopback cell delivering unit delivers a first OAM loopback cell for confirming a communication route to a route terminal point. The first returning and relaying means returns the first OAM loopback cell upon reception of the first OAM loopback cell, together with its own location identification added thereto, to a source, and relays the received first OAM loopback cell to a next one of the communication devices.
Abstract: A television camera apparatus for surveillance applications includes a television camera having a base plate to be attached to a supporting structure, a camera holder fixed to the base plate and a camera body protruding from the camera holder. The camera body includes two antipodal segments spaced from each other and fixedly attached to the camera holder and having chord planes facing to and parallel to each other and a central segment disposed between the antipodal segments and having a shape of an arcuated drum having two sides parallel to each other and a thickness slightly smaller than the distance between the chord planes of the two antipodal segments facing each other. The central segment houses a picture pickup element, a lens and a lens pane which has a curvature surface of a diameter equal to that of the central segment so that the television camera looks like a dome-shaped television camera.
Abstract: A jewelry rope chain formed of a plurality of interconnected links. Each of the links has an exterior surface and the plurality of the links form the periphery of the chain. The exterior surface of the adjacent links of a pair of opposing groups of such links comprise a diamond cut curved surface. This forms opposing arcuate surfaces on the periphery of the chain. The exterior of the remaining opposing links intermediate of these two groups are uncut. As a result, the periphery of the chain is generally a slight oval in cross sectional configuration.

Abstract: A method is provided for decomposing free cyanide ion and metallic cyano complex ions in a liquid, comprising the steps of bringing the liquid into contact with ozone gas in a counterflow relation in the condition that the pH of the liquid is at least 10 with the mass flow rate of the ozone in the ozone gas up to 20 mg per minute per liter of liquid, and then bringing the liquid into contact in a counterflow relation with ozone gas having an ozone concentration of at least 150 g/m3 in the condition that the pH of the liquid is 7.0 to 9.5.

Abstract: In a path audit control method, (1) a unit (a discrete unit or common unit) within a switch holds bitmap information indicating whether each channel identifier is being used to establish a path; (2) a central controller sends the unit bitmap information indicating whether each channel identifier has been used to establish a path; (3) the unit compares bitmap information which it itself is holding with bitmap information that has been sent from the central controller; and (4) if the bitmap information held by the unit and the bitmap information that has been sent from the central controller do not match, the central controller and the unit cooperate to execute matching processing in such a manner that the compared items of bitmap information will be made to match.
Abstract: In a semiconductor device, semiconductor chips are mounted on two surfaces of a die pad. A lower one of the semiconductor chips has a portion projecting outward from an upper one of the semiconductor chips. The semiconductor chips are connected to integrally molded external connection leads trough wiring members. The lower semiconductor chipping the outwardly projecting portion has, on its surface on the same side as an upper surface of the upper semiconductor chip, pads to be connected to the external connection leads. A semiconductor device lead frame and a method of manufacturing the same are also disclosed.
Abstract: A dictation and command voice multitasking interface is implemented by the creation of a question and multiple answer set database. The system is responsive to spoken words first recognized and then correlated with the previously recorded questions, commands or tasks. The system is interactive with the speaker, in a typical question and answer(Q&A) session until the completion of the task at hand. In the preferred embodiment, the Q&A session enables a doctor to create a report during clinical procedures using prerecorded database entrees correlated with spoken words and commands.
Abstract: An analog/digital integrated subscriber circuit includes a power supply part supplying power with respect to a subscriber line, and a signal processing part carrying out a signal processing. The power supply part is provided with a D.C./D.C. converter which controls an ON-time of a switching by detecting an output voltage and an output current supplied to the subscriber line. The D.C./D.C. converter includes a switching mechanism for switching a power supply characteristic of the power supply part to a constant current characteristic up to a maximum output voltage when supplying the power with respect to a digital subscriber line and to a constant voltage characteristic having a voltage lower than the maximum output voltage when supplying the power with respect to an analog subscriber line.
Abstract: For the purpose of cleaning and/or disinfecting endoscopes having a plurality of channels, each channel is connected to a feedline, which is provided with a shut-off valve, for a cleaning and/or disinfecting agent, and each channel is flushed with a cleaning and/or disinfecting agent. If necessary, before flushing the channels, separating means are arranged in the endoscope in order to separate channels from one another, in such a manner that during flushing only single channels are present in the endoscope. Each single channel is connected to a feedline for a cleaning and/or disinfecting agent and is flushed separately. The single channels which merge in the endoscope into a common channel part are flushed one after the other. Advantageously, if single channels of mutually different passage width are flushed simultaneously, an additional flow restriction is arranged in at least the feedline connected to the channel with the greater passage width.
Abstract: The invention describes an oil-pickup system for an internal combustion engine, especially a one-cylinder diesel engine with at least three oil-pickup tubes (26, 27, 28), which are in communication with the oil pump via a suction tube (29) and which are disposed in the oil pan (24) in such a way that, if the internal combustion engine is in inclined position, intake of air is prevented by the control valves associated with the oil-pickup tubes.
