  • Patent number: 6863826
Abstract: Animal waste such as fecal material from swine, chicken, turkey, and cattle is converted into useful forms such as fertilizer, other types of soil builders, and even nutrient feed additives. Devices, systems, and methods are provided that allow economical conversion and in many instances, alleviate the production and release of undesirable gases such as sulfide and ammonia. In one embodiment, undesirable anaerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria are killed at a greater rate than desirable soil compatible aerobic bacteria. The use of low temperature killing diminishes off gassing commonly associated with other techniques, and the use of gas trapping additives such as zeolites provides enhanced soil building qualities such as slow release of nitrogen and slow release of moisture to soil. The methods allow convenient adjustment of composition, allowing conversion of waste into tailored designer fertilizer suited for particular soils.

  • Patent number: 6865120
Abstract: The present invention discloses a ferroelectric random access memory having a multi-bit line structure. The ferroelectric random access memory includes a plurality of cell array blocks for storing cell data, a common data bus unit for transmitting read/write data, and a timing data register array unit for sensing the read data and outputting the write data to the common data bus unit. The timing data register array unit senses the read data by using timing of a sensing voltage of the common data bus unit to reach the sensing threshold voltage. As a result, the ferroelectric random access memory improves a sensing margin in a low voltage and increases a sensing speed.

  • Patent number: 6862231
Abstract: A repair circuit of a semiconductor memory device features a fuse box unit, a fuse stop unit and a repair control circuit unit. The fuse box unit outputs a first control signal to command a failed cell to be substituted with a spare cell when inputted address information is identical with address information programmed in a fuse. The fuse stop unit outputs a third control signal to command the spare cell to be substituted in response to the first control signal and a second control signal for representing if the spare cell is normal or not. The repair control circuit unit substitutes the failed cell with the spare cell in response to the third control signal. As a result, the repair circuit of the present invention substitutes a failed cell with a normal spare cell when a space cell is normal, without performing a repair operation when a spare cell fails.

  • Patent number: 6850447
Abstract: A nonvolatile ferroelectric memory device having a multi-bit control function performs read/write operations by selecting a plurality of cells simultaneously, thereby improving the operation speed of a chip. In the nonvolatile ferroelectric memory device, a plurality of cells are selected at the same time, and stable sensing values of data having a small distribution can be obtained by using average characteristics of a plurality of selected cells. Accordingly, since two or more cells are simultaneously selected and a plurality of bits are read/written in the cells depending on stabilized charge, the operation speed of a chip can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6838086
Abstract: The invention discloses the use of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, for producing vaccines. The vaccines are particularly suitable for controlling cancer diseases. Surprisingly, it has been found that low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, can be used both for preparing mature dendritic cells and directly, together with antigens or peptides or carrier systems, as an adjuvant in vaccines. It is likewise possible to couple the low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, to an antigen, peptide or carrier system. The coupled system can then be advantageously employed as a vaccine, in particular for treating cancer diseases.
