Moreover, an alignment marker is provided adjacent the club head end of the grip which is to be generally aligned with the club shaft and head and for assisting the user in alignment of a putt.
Abstract: A static memory is constructed in a plurality of hierarchy levels. Beneficial realization possibilities are set forth with respect to the surface utilization for the drive and read-out circuits in the second hierarchy level which are especially critical. Memory cells that supply a strong cell signal are advantageously utilized so that a low expense is needed in the read circuit. By displacing periphery circuits into higher hierarchy levels, a short access time and a reduced surface requirement arise.

Abstract: An apparatus for automatically severing a slide fastener chain having a succession of fabric pieces attached to each of the opposed longitudinal marginal edges with a gap portion interposed between each adjacent pair of fabric pieces comprises a feeding unit; a cutting unit disposed on a feed path for severing the fabric-pieced slide fastener chain transversely across the gap portions; and detecting means for producing a signal only when laterally-aligned gap portions reach the detecting means. The detecting means, feeding unit and the cutting unit are electrically connected such that, upon receipt of the signal from the detecting means, the feeding unit is deenergized and at the same time the cutting unit is energized.
Abstract: In a solid oxide fuel cell, a multiplicity of single cells are arranged one on each of multiple hollow portions, each single cell including confronting inner and outer electrodes separated by a solid electrolyte. The individual single cells are interconnected in series by multiple interconnections each extending from the inner electrode, at its portion contiguous to the substrate, of the respective one single cell to the outer electrode of the adjacent single cell through the electrolyte of the respective one single cell.

Abstract: An electromagnetic relay has a control module in the form of an integrated circuit connected to a section of a flat plug inside the housing. The flat plug acts as a heat shield and as a cooling plate for the integrated circuit.
Abstract: In a method for fastening a semiconductor body provided with at least one component to a substrate, an under side of the semiconductor body is provided with a first contacting layer and with a powdered metal layer covering this first contacting layer. An upper side of the substrate is provided with a second contacting layer. The coated surfaces of the semiconductor body and of the substrate are then pressed together while being heated. When the semiconductor body is composed of a part of a semiconductor wafer that comprises a plurality of identical or similar parts, then the first contacting layer and the powdered metal layer of the invention are applied in common on the back side of the semiconductor wafer for all semiconductor bodies.
Abstract: A rotary centrifuge for the separation of substances at different density having an outer cylindrical housing and a worm within the housing and the worm and housing driven at different rotational speeds, the housing having an opening for the discharge of the heavier fraction with the opening controlled by an external control element preferably stationarily supported and connected by a linkage to a movable valve member for controlling the opening, preferably a ring which moves axially to change the size of an annular discharge gap between the ring and a circular discharge opening in the end wall of the drum, but the opening can also be in the form of axial radial facing openings controlled by a movable valve member.
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium having minute irregularities on the surface of a magnetic layer is disclosed. The value of the ratio A.sub.V /A.sub.P, where A.sub.V and A.sub.P are cross-sectional areas of valleys and projections as measured in a plane lower by 50 nm and in a plane higher than 50 nm than an intermediate plane of the magnetic layer, respectively, with the measurement being made using a three-dimensional roughness meter, is given by A.sub.V /A.sub.P .gtoreq.0.90, wherein the intermediate plane is a plane for which the cross-sectional area of the projections is approximately equal to that of the valleys. The minute irregularities on the surface of the magnetic layer are produced by providing a non-magnetic substrate presenting different surface roughnesses on its front surface and back surface, and by transferring surface irregularities constituting the surface roughness of the back surface of the non-magnetic substrate to the front surface of the substrate.
Abstract: A boom, particularly a spreading boom for suspension on an outer frame (1) of an agricultural tool and of the type in which the suspension device comprises spring suspension and shock absorbing devices in the form of a trapezoidal suspension with two substantially parallel beams of which one is connected to the outer frame (1). According to the invention the upper beam of the trapezoidal suspension is linked, each of the links (6, 7) being pivotally connected to the outer frame (1) and springs (12) being arranged on both sides of the linkage (20, 21), but on the other side of the center of suspension (8, 9). The individual spring (12) is arranged between one of said links (6, 7) and a separate beam fastened to the outer frame (1).
Abstract: A HF surgery device had a microprocessor and a comparator which in combination generate a control signal which acts on a rectified operating voltage, which drive a HF generator. The HF generator can be modulated with a modulation signal. In order to automatically maintain the effective output power at a constant level in the event of a modulation of the HF generator, the microprocessor forms a reference value from the modulation signal and from a prescribed setting signal for setting a HF output power. The reference value is compared to the operating voltage in the comparator for forming the control signal.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for manufacture of a cathode-ray tube where an electron gun for emitting a plurality of electron beams is enclosed in a tube body with discrete electrodes disposed individually to such beams and joint electrodes disposed commonly to the beams. The method comprises the steps of incorporating the electron gun in the tube body and applying high-frequency induction heat principally to the joint electrodes to thereby evacuate and seal up the tube body; flashing a getter material; and disposing at least a pair of cored coils on both sides of the tube body at positions opposite to the discrete electrodes disposed individually to the plurality of beams, and applying high-frequency induction heat principally to the discrete electrodes.
Abstract: A fan jet nozzle for surface coating, particularly for high-pressure spraying, is created whose inside dome is not fashioned rotationally-symmetrical. The dome interior is semicircular in the one plane of section in which the nozzle slot extends, but is ogive in the plane perpendicular thereto, the plane which is perpendicular to the lengthwise plane of the fan jet nozzle slot. The two sections, semicircular and ogive, steadily verge into one another around the center axis of the nozzle. The dome configuration results in less wear from abrasion of spraying fluid through the nozzle slot, in particular, onto the wall edge between the dome and the nozzle slot.
Abstract: An air filter arrangement for a gas engine which is used in a dirty environment such as roof removing machines which covers the air inlet to the fan and consists of an annular air filter and a foam air filter which fit over the fan air inlet and which is held in place by a plate that attaches it to the engine.
Abstract: A 16.times.16 picture block of an HDTV television picture is transformed with a discrete cosine transformation as a 16.times.16 frame block or is separately transformed in respectively two 16.times.8 field blocks according to a decision method. Picture value differences between pairs of field picture elements of two picture lines of the same field are absolutely summed up to form a field sum. Likewise, picture value differences between pairs of frame picture elements of two picture lines of the frame are absolutely summed up to form a frame sum. The frame sum multiplied by a frame weighting factor is subtracted from the field sum to form what may be a positive decision result. Given a positive decision result, the frame is transformed; otherwise, the two fields are separately transformed.
