Abstract: A system and method for dynamically altering the analysis methodology of millimeter wave imagery in response to the range and direction of motion of a subject is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, an imaging zone of a scene is scanned using at least one millimeter wave camera during a current time frame and a CPU is used to dynamically process millimeter wave imagery of the imaging zone in response to detecting a range and direction of motion of the subject during a previous time frame. In addition, values of a grid of discrete cells are calculated representing the millimeter wave energy associated with the current time frame, which are then compared to values from a grid of corresponding discrete cells associated with the previous time frame in determining a current range and direction of the subject.
Abstract: A plurality of inserts are anchored in holes or recesses in a probe head. Shafts are coupled to the inserts, and adjustable multi-part fasteners are attached to the shafts and to a stiffener. The multi-part fasteners are operated to move the shafts and couple the probe head, the stiffener, and other components of a microelectronic contactor assembly. In some embodiments, the inserts may be anchored in the probe head using an adhesive. In some embodiments, the probe head may comprise more than one major substrate, and the inserts may be anchored in either of the substrates.

Abstract: A lighting fixture, such as a recessed or can type lighting fixture, has an external housing containing a number of LEDs used to provide light. The LEDs are connected to a power supply, and are mounted on a heat sink that includes heat-dissipating fins that are oriented vertically within a vertical portion of an internal flow tube. The internal flow tube may be U-shaped, with entry and exit points on opposite ends of the flow tube. The external housing and flow tube are oriented so as to create a path for air to rise along the heat sink as it is heated then flow back down along the unheated path of the flow tube. An air mover may also be placed in the flow tube to provide further air flow through the flow tube.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining a power cycle of a power source of a mobile device is described. An execution of one or more components on the mobile device is simulated. An amount of power drawn by the one or more components from the power source is estimated during the simulated execution of each of the one or more components. The estimated amounts of power drawn from the power source by each of the one or more components are aggregated to obtain a total estimate of power drawn from the power source. The power cycle of the power source is determined according to the total estimate of power drawn from the power source by each of the one or more components.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for configuring information displayed on a screen is described. A display model is generated on the screen. The display model includes a status page and at least one configuration page. The pages of the display model are organized in a three-dimensional format on the screen. A header and a status icon are displayed on the at least one configuration page. At least one configuration page is filtered to prevent the at least one configuration page from being displayed on the screen.
Abstract: A stabilization device is provided that includes a resilient body that has an upper surface and a lower surface. The body includes a first set of teeth located on the upper surface and distributed about a first axis. The teeth are spaced apart from one another by a selected pitch. The body also includes a second set of teeth located on the upper surface and distributed about a second axis. Like the first set the second set of teeth are spaced apart a selected second pitch. The first and second sets of teeth are offset from each other along either the first or second axis. The lower surface of the body preferably includes a similar arrangement of teeth.
Abstract: The present invention expands a wildcard symbol into one or more symbol positions of the symbol matrix if two or more wildcard symbols appear in the symbol matrix in a predetermined configuration relative to one another. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, two or more wildcard symbols appearing in adjacent positions of the same row of a symbol matrix expand into all symbol positions of the columns in which the adjacent wildcard symbols appear.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for remotely cannulating a body part are disclosed. The apparatus is an endoscopic cannulation apparatus having a fluid stasis assembly and a coring assembly. The fluid stasis assembly allows for the penetration of the body part and deployment of an occlusive device to prevent the escape of fluid during the coring and cannulation of the body part. The cannulation assembly allows for the coring of the body part without the introduction of air bubbles or other embolic materials into the patient. The method of the invention provides for the remote coring and cannulation of a body part such as a heart, blood vessels, the stomach, intestines, and other body parts with a sealed apparatus that may be de-aired to lessen the risk of the introduction of emboli into a system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a low-vibration tool holder (1) with a tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6) and a tensioning arrangement (5) which provides axial tensioning of the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6) and which is simultaneously tensioned in a radially flexible way with respect to the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6). This tool holder (1) is less susceptible to vibration than previously known tool holders, which ensures better true running even during operation and in particular when heat-induced expansion of materials occurs, since the clamping arrangement (5) which is integrated in the tool holder (1) is continuously centered with respect to the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6). Furthermore, such a tool holder (1), in particular within a modular design, can be adapted very flexibly to different types of tools and workpiece machining processes.
Abstract: A chemical reactor and method for converting a first material into a second material is disclosed and wherein the chemical reactor is provided with a feed stream of a first material which is to be converted into a second material; and wherein the first material is combusted in the chemical reactor to produce a combustion flame, and a resulting gas; and an electrical arc is provided which is passed through or superimposed upon the combustion flame and the resulting gas to facilitate the production of the second material.
Abstract: An exemplary ramp structure capable of being positioned over at least a portion of a cable protection system comprises first and second center portions, a first side ramp portion adjacent a side of each center portion, and a first tapered portion adjacent an end of the first side ramp portion. The first tapered portion may be tapered in at least two different directions that are substantially orthogonal to each other.
Abstract: A conditioned vestibule, control system, and method are disclosed for use with a cold storage doorway that separates warm and cold sides. A heater warms an air stream discharged across the doorway by the vestibule. A control unit operates the heater to maintain an air stream temperature. The control unit continuously monitors the air stream temperature and operates the heater to maintain the air stream temperature in a non-saturated state based on a humidity ratio. One embodiment calculates first and second temperatures based, respectively, warm and cold side tangent lines to a psychrometric saturation curve and based on the humidity ratio. The tangent lines are based on humidity and temperature sensed on the warm and cold sides. The air stream is warmed to at least the greater of the first and second temperatures. One embodiment controls air flow to adjust the humidity ratio to more efficiently operate the vestibule.
