Abstract: In a wide variety of human solid tumors, an aggressive, metastatic phenotype and poor clinical prognosis are associated with expression of the receptor tyrosine kinase Met. Disclosed herein are (a) a monoclonal antibody named Met4, which antibody is specific for Met, and (b) a hybridoma cell line that produces Met4. The Met4 antibody is particularly useful for detecting Met in formalin-fixed tissue. Methods of using the Met4 antibody for detection, diagnosis, prognosis, and evaluating therapeutic efficacy are provided.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a document track, a processing device, and a selector gate after the processing device. The document track includes a second, return path extending from a location at the selector gate to a location before the processing device. A bi-directional drive mechanism receives the document as the document passes through the selector gate in the forward direction. A gate actuator selectively moves the selector gate. Upon the bi-directional drive mechanism reversing direction after receiving the document to drive the document in the reverse direction, when the selector gate is in the first position, the selector gate diverts the document into the return path and re-introduces the document to the processing device with the document now in a reverse orientation. When the selector gate is in the second position, the selector gate allows the document traveling in the reverse direction to be re-introduced, in reverse, to the processing device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to modulators of muscarinic receptors. The present invention also provides compositions comprising such modulators, and methods therewith for treating muscarinic receptor mediated diseases.
Abstract: A Raman amplifier includes at least a first and a second optical Raman-active fiber disposed in series with each other. A first pump source is connected to the first Raman-active fiber, and is adapted for emitting and coupling into the first Raman-active fiber a first pump radiation including a first group of frequencies. A second pump source is connected to the second Raman-active fiber, and is adapted for emitting and coupling into the second Raman-active fiber a second pump radiation including a second group of frequencies. The whole of said first and second group of frequencies extends over a pump frequency range having a width of at least the 40% of the Raman shift. The minimum and the maximum frequency in each of said first and second group of frequencies differ with each other of at most the 70% of said Raman shift.
Abstract: A single-cell workstation for processing a tire-wheel assembly including a tire and a wheel is disclosed. The single cell workstation includes a soaping sub-station. The soaping sub-station includes a housing defined by a support surface and one or more walls extending from the support surface and a plurality of fluid dispensing portions extending from the support surface. An apparatus for lubricating one or more beads of a tire is also disclosed. The apparatus includes a head portion; a plurality of radially-adjustable clamping portions axially extending from the head portion; and a plurality of radially-adjustable lubrication applicators axially extending from the head portion.
Abstract: A family of insecticidal polypeptides expressed in the venom gland of spiders of the genera Atrax and Hadronyche have been described. Also included are polynucleotides and expression vectors encoding the polypeptides and insect viruses and cells expressing the polypeptides. Transgenic plants and insects expressing the insecticidal polypeptides are also described. The insecticidal polypeptides may be employed in methods and compositions for treating insects, insect larvae, and plants.

Abstract: A document processor receives a document to be processed and captures data from the document. The document processor includes a plurality of processing devices and conveys documents past the plurality of processing devices to allow the processing devices to perform operations on the documents. A programmable endorser prints an endorsement on a document as the document is processed. The programmable endorser includes a plurality of character segments in the form of various shapes such that the endorsement is printed by building characters from the character segments.

Abstract: An actuation device for an endorsing roller in an automated document processing system is disclosed. The actuation device includes a shape memory alloy actuator interconnected with an endorsing roller, the shape memory alloy actuator interconnected with the endorsing roller and configured to be actuated to move the endorsing roller from a retracted position to a printing position.
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system are provided to explore branches of a conditional statement in software code. For example, an embodiment of the method includes selecting a first branch of the conditional statement to evaluate, placing a second branch of the conditional statement in a pending branch list, storing checkpoint information on a program state for the conditional statement associated with the second branch, and evaluating the second branch after an evaluation of the first branch. The evaluation of the second branch is based on the checkpoint information. By exploring the first and second branches of the conditional statement (e.g., true and false conditions), wide coverage is possible in the analysis of software code.
Abstract: A method of thermal inspection of a component defining at least one internal passageway. The method includes receiving a continuous sequence of thermal images of at least an exit hole defined by the at least one internal passageway at a surface of the component. The method also includes delivering a pressurized airflow pulse into the at least one internal passageway, receiving a temperature response signal as function of time based on the received thermal images, determining a first derivative of the temperature response signal, and determining a level of blockage of the at least one internal passageway based on the first derivative of the temperature response signal.
