  • Patent number: 8352354
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides computer-implemented methods and systems for optimizing the executing an order, such as trading orders. An order may be electronically routed to an Execution Optimizer (“EO”). The EO may apply a particular profile to the order, corresponding to a particular portfolio manager. Next, the order, with the profile, may be routed, electronically, to a third party where a prediction model may be applied to the order, indicating trading parameters for the order. The order, with the trading parameters from the prediction model, may be passed back to the EO, where a rules engine may apply rules, specific to the executing financial institution, to the order. The order may then be passed to a selected broker for market trading.

  • Patent number: 8350517
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide a method for connection or application of a converter to a rotating asynchronous machine which is operated without an encoder, without a high current and without a torque surge. The method provides a control unit, using an inverter or converter, for feeding the asynchronous machine which rotates at a mechanical rotary speed. The asynchronous machine is regulated by the control unit. A stator current vector is ascertained from measured currents of the stator windings of the asynchronous machine and a rotating stator voltage vector. Calculation is effected in respect of a stator flux change vector from the stator current vector, the stator voltage vector and a stator resistance in accordance with a motor model. An angle difference between the stator current vector and the stator flux change vector is calculated.

Abstract: In this invention, a grommet structure in an incubator includes a grommet attaching portion provided to the enclosure of the incubator and a grommet member attached to the grommet attaching portion. The grommet member includes a longitudinal member holding incision to hold a longitudinal member such as an oxygen supply tube that extends through it. The longitudinal member holding incision forms at least one substantially S-shaped shape (in other words, a substantially sine-curved shape) and/or a substantially waving shape. This invention can provide the grommet structure in the incubator, in which the longitudinal member such as an oxygen supply tube held by the longitudinal incision of the grommet member and extending through the incision is less likely to move accidentally in the longitudinal direction of the incision or in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal member.
