  • Patent number: 7777624
Abstract: A microwave direction of travel detector and method of detecting the direction of an intruder in a protected region. The microwave direction of travel detector transmits and receives, by a microwave transceiver a microwave signal directed toward a protected area. The microwave return signal is modulated by a moving target to produce a Doppler signal. The microcontroller monitors the output of the amplifier chain and stores the signal and compares it with previously stored signals. If the amplitude is increasing or decreasing over a preset time period, this would indicate that the target it approaching or receding respectively and an alarm would be generated by the microcontroller.

  • Patent number: 7777710
Abstract: A display device is proposed in which scan line driver circuits are not disposed on opposite sides of a scan line, but one end of the scan line is driven by a scan line driver circuit, while the other end of the scan line is driven by a scan line auxiliary circuit which has a significantly smaller circuit scale and lower power consumption than the scan line driver circuit. The scan line auxiliary circuit is controlled with a selection pulse of the scan line or a signal of the scan line driver circuit, and is electrically connected to a fixed potential through a transistor. When a potential of the scan line is switched by the scan line driver circuit, the scan line auxiliary circuit operates so that the scan line is driven from its opposite ends.

  • Patent number: 7770839
Abstract: The flight machinery includes a structure in which a main body and a lightweight wing having an unvalued weight compared with the main body are connected by use of a power joint on a line joining the center of a lift force and the center of gravity of the wing in the manner that the main body is positioned under the wing. Accordingly, it is possible to exhibit a function of the flight machinery by adjusting the power joint connecting the upper part and the lower part or the wing to the main body even if the wing and the main body have different characteristics. Additionally, it is possible to stabilize a posture by positioning the total center of gravity at the main body at the lower part. At the same time, it is possible to stabilize the posture just by controlling the position of the servomotor of the power joint.

  • Patent number: 7773066
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a small-sized active matrix type liquid crystal display device that may achieve large-sized display, high precision, high resolution and multi-gray scales. According to the present invention, gray scale display is performed by combining time ratio gray scale and voltage gray scale in a liquid crystal display device which performs display in OCB mode. In doing so, one frame is divided into subframes corresponding to the number of bit for the time ratio gray scale. Initialize voltage is applied onto the liquid crystal upon display of a subframe.

  • Patent number: 7767595
Abstract: In a manufacturing process of a semiconductor device, a manufacturing technique of a semiconductor device by which a lithography step that uses a photoresist is simplified is provided. A manufacturing cost is reduced and throughput is improved. An irradiation object is formed over a substrate by sequentially stacking a first material layer and a second material layer. The irradiation object is irradiated with a first laser beam that is absorbed by the first material layer and a second laser beam that is absorbed by the second material layer so that the laser beams overlap. A part or all of the region irradiated with an overlap part of the laser beams is ablated to form an opening.

  • Patent number: 7768617
Abstract: When a conductive layer is formed, a first liquid composition containing a conductive material is applied on an outer side of a pattern that is desired to be formed (corresponding to a contour or an edge portion of a pattern), and a first conductive layer (insulating layer) having a frame-shape is formed. A second liquid composition containing a conductive material is applied so as to fill a space inside the first conductive layer having a frame-shape, whereby a second conductive layer is formed. The first conductive layer and the second conductive layer are formed so as to be in contact with each other, and the first conductive layer is formed so as to surround the second conductive layer. Therefore, the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer can be used as one continuous conductive layer.

  • Patent number: 7767874
Abstract: A patient-friendly medical device is provided for removal of excess fluids from body tissue and is particularly useful to treat soft tissue inflammation, damage, edema and/or lymphedema. The comfortable medical device comprises a composite multilayered assembly that provides a gradient pressure compression device to compress body tissue of a patient in a controlled and graduated manner. The composite multilayered assembly can have an inner and/or outer layer to enhance uniform distribution of compression about the affected portion of the patient and can have flexible intermediate layers with elastomeric components such as foamed chips, foamed pieces, and/or chopped foam that can have a different density and/or size and/or shape to form channels (canals) therebetween to enhance flow of excess fluids from the body tissue of the patient. The channels or canals can create zones of gradient pressure to help move excess fluid from the tissue of the affected portion of the body of the patient.

  • Patent number: 7767020
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a single crystal semiconductor, in which, in a process of pulling up the single crystal semiconductor from melt for growing it, an impurity is incorporated more uniformly into the single crystal semiconductor so that a variation in impurity concentration across the semiconductor wafer surface can be reduced, and thus, the planarity of the wafer can be improved. In the process of pulling-up the single crystal semiconductor (6), fluctuation in a pulling-up speed is controlled, whereby the variation in concentration of the impurity in the single crystal semiconductor (6) is reduced. Especially, a width of speed fluctuation (?V) in 10 seconds is adjusted to less than 0.025 mm/min. Furthermore, in carrying out the control for adjusting the pulling-up speed such that a diameter of the single crystal semiconductor (6) becomes a desired diameter, a magnetic field having strength of 1,500 gauss or more is applied to the melt (5).
