  • Patent number: 5104045
Abstract: A sprinkler nozzle has a plurality of flow passages for forming a desired precipitation pattern between the nozzle and its full range. A conventional nozzle flow passage is used for long range coverage with other secondary flow passages used to provide for close-in droplet coverage. Some passages have a staggered flow wherein water flow is directed through large angle turns for close-in fall-out; secondary passages are also directed to impinge one stream at an angle into a second stream; and secondary passages are also directed onto a concave curved arcuate, or cylindrical, surface to splash outwardly and be deflected along the surface and exit at different angles for a distribution of droplet fall-out.

  • Patent number: 5069449
Abstract: The strap device comprises an elongated and resilient strap with movable contour shoulder pads of a shock absorbing material with the overall length of strap being adjustable. The hand holds located at each end of the length of strap are also adjustable. The strap device is uniquely placed on the upper body to employ a rhythmic movement of exertion upon inhaling and relaxation when exhaling. This uniform motion of exertion and relaxation of the uniquely placed strap device on the upper body opens up the air passages and improves breathing, allowing a greater amount of air to be inhaled and exhaled.

  • Patent number: 5005379
Abstract: An air conditioning system has a refrigeration system that supplies a refrigerant to an evaporator coil enclosed in a chiller tank. A low temperature coolant in the chiller tank is then refrigerated by the evaporator coil. The coolant is then pumped from the chiller tank through a spiral wall pipe in an area to be air conditioned, removing heat by conduction, convection, and evaporative cooling, and returned to the chiller tank to be cooled and recirculated. The coolant in the chiller tank is maintained at a desired temperature by the refrigeration system. The temperature in the conditioned area is controlled by the temperature and flow of the coolant in the spiral wall pipe. A heating system supplies hot water to the above air conditioning system while bypassing the refrigeration system. Humidification and cleaning are achieved by an overhead pipe which is perforated, and water or cleaning solution is pumped under low pressure and dispersed down onto the spiral wall pipe.

  • Patent number: 4987917
Abstract: A basic controller concept is disclosed for a sequencing distributing valve having a series of multiple outlets and a control timer to direct a like series of timed output signals thereto which allows the sequencing distributing valve to be rapidly pressure cycled to a desired outlet with synchronization between the sequencing distributing valve and control timer being established by a first pressure sensor for sensing cycling pressure and a second pressure sensor for sensing a pressure from a selected outlet of the sequencing valve. Continuing synchronization during cycling is provided by the valve housing pressure sensor which can advance the control timer each time the housing pressure of the sequencing distributing valve indicates that the sequencing distributing valve has cycled.
