  • Patent number: 4837946
Abstract: Apparatus for floatingly suspending a running web without contact and through an arcuate path and including a series of parallel air bars arranged in an arcuate array for discharging pressurized air outwardly therefrom. Either the first or the last air bars, or both air bars, (in respect to the direction of web travel) may be tilted about their longitudinal axis to correct any non-symmetrical web-to-air bar orientation and to provide more stable pressure profile for the air cushion in a symmetrical web flow pattern. A line of equipment for processing a running web and including (1) a preliminary web treating machine from which the web exits selectively at two different locations and thus at two different angles; (2) apparatus for floatingly suspending the running web through an arcuate path; and (3) a floater dryer located at the discharge end of the turning apparatus; thus, the arcutate array of air bars can accommodate different web paths as the web exits from the web treating machine.

Each transmission includes forward and reverse clutches, and each clutch can be fully engaged, fully disengaged and modulated. Two alternately usable separate control stations operate the throttles and clutches to control vessel speed and direction. Each control station comprises port and starboard sets of manually operable control devices, and each set includes a mode selector switch for selecting cruise mode or troll mode for its respective throttle and a manually operable direction/speed control lever. In troll mode the lever selects and modulates the selected respective clutch to control propeller speed. • Patent number: 4832064
Abstract: In a glass washing machine having a glass carrier rotatable on an upright axis, half of the carrier is always in an access zone where glasses can be loaded onto the carrier and removed from it, the other half in a cleansing zone where detergent solution is discharged from a first set of spray nozzles and germicidal rinsing solution is discharged from a second set of nozzles. Upon actuation of a pushbutton switch, the carrier rotates through 180.degree., always in the same direction, then stops until the switch is again actuatd. Liquids are discharged from all nozzles while the carrier rotates. Detergent solution is recirculated, but fresh detergent solution is introduced during a predetermined portion of each period of carrier rotation.

  • Patent number: 4832752
Abstract: In normal washing operation of the beverage glass washer of the invention, detergent solution discharged from a set of washing nozzles is collected in a tank from which a recirculation pump withdraws it and delivers it back to those nozzles for redischarge; and rinsing liquid from another source is delivered to a set of rinsing nozzles for discharge from them. For cleaning and deliming all nozzles, the tank is filled with a cleaning solution and the two sets of nozzles are connected, either by opening a normally closed solenoid valve in a permanent connection between the two sets of nozzles or by slipping opposite ends of a suitably sized hose over a cylindrical nozzle body of each set. The recirculation pump then flushes the solution from the tank through all nozzles of both sets.
