  • Patent number: 7638437
Abstract: Provided is an in-situ thin-film deposition method in which a TiSix/Ti layer or TiSix/Ti/TiN layer can be continuously deposited. The method serves to deposit a thin layer as a resistive contact and barrier on a loaded wafer and is performed in a thin-film deposition apparatus including a transfer chamber having a robot arm therein and a plurality of chambers installed as a cluster type on the transfer chamber. The method includes depositing a TiSix layer on the wafer by supplying a first reactive gas containing Ti and a second reactive gas containing Si to a first chamber; and transferring the wafer to a second chamber using the transfer chamber and depositing a TiN layer on the TiSix layer.

  • Patent number: 7632226
Abstract: A method of modulating the human meridian system using a small bar magnet is provided. In the method of modulating the human meridian system, the small bar magnet has a length of 3 cm or less and a coercivity of 1000 gauss or greater. The meridian system is modulated by attaching the small bar magnet to the skin or hypodermically implanting the small bar magnet, such that the direction of flow of a magnetic force of the magnet is the same as or opposite to the direction of flow of the meridian system. The method, which can replace traditional acupuncture and/or moxibustion for modulating the human meridian system, allows ordinary people to use the same in a risk-free, safe and simple manner without causing pain to a body.

  • Patent number: 7515417
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for cooling heat generating computer parts that installed in a computer. The apparatus includes a heat transferring block capable of being thermally coupled to the heat generating parts to conduct the heat generated by the heat dissipating parts; at least one heat pipe, each including a block coupling portion thermally coupled to the heat transferring block and a fin coupling portion formed of a generally curved shape composed essentially of one or more circular arc portions; and a plurality of heat dissipating fins, each having at least one perforation hole. The geometry of the curvature of the entirety of the fin coupling portion is shaped so that the geometry alone would not allow the heat pipe to be inserted through the perforation hole of the heat dissipating fins. The fin coupling portion of the heat pipe passes through each of the at least one perforation hole of the plurality of heat dissipating fins.

  • Patent number: 7428681
Abstract: A method for reducing the number of transitions generated by an LFSR is introduced. The transition monitoring window monitors the number of transitions occurring as random patterns generated from an LFSR are applied to a scan chain, and, if the number of transitions exceeds a threshold value (“k-value”), all further transitions are suppressed. The transition monitoring window monitors the patterns entering the LFSR, incrementing a counter if a transition is detected. If a transition is detected just before the exit of a lowest stage of the LFSR the counter is decremented. The signal from the counter is compared with the k-value at every clock tick, and if the count is greater than the k-value, the vector most recently applied to the scan chain is re-applied to the scan chain; if it is less than the k-value, the output from the LFSR is applied to the scan chain.
