Abstract: The pillow includes first and second substantially identical inner shell layers and first and second substantially identical outer shell layers. The first and second inner layers and first and second outer layers are secured together around the peripheries thereof. Extending laterally across the pillow in the width dimension are two spaced baffle members which are secured to the two inner shell layers and extend between the two inner shell layers, defining three chambers along the length of the pillow. The two baffle members either angle away from each other from one longitudinal edge of the pillow to the other longitudinal edge or extend parallel or slightly toward each other from the one longitudinal edge to a point approximately 12 inches from the one longitudinal edge and then curve away from each other to the other longitudinal edge of the pillow.

Abstract: The boat hull includes a bow, a stern and a bottom surface which extends from the bow to the stern. The hull includes a bottom surface with a deep-V shaped portion extending from the bow to a hull point which is aft of the mid-point of the bottom surface, approximately two-thirds thereof. At least two steps, referred to as flat steps, are included in the bottom surface of the boat, between the hull point and the stern. The steps extend across a portion of the bottom surface. Flat pads extend from each step to the next step or to the rear of the stern. A decrease in the size of the entire hull, referred to as a hull step, occurs at the second or third step in the bottom surface of the boat.
Abstract: A processed solid fuel composition incorporating agents for destroying creosote and soot within flue ducts and chimneys of fireplaces, solid fuel stoves and other heating devices is disclosed, along with a method for its manufacture and a method for its use. The composition is made up of a combination of compressed cellulosic particulate material and a chemical and/or catalytic creosote and soot removing agent, and is molded in the form of a fire log in the preferred embodiment. The composition may be used alone, but is ideally applied to an active fire to treat a chimney flue by combined heating and chemical disaggregation of accumulated creosote and soot deposits.
Abstract: A positioning system is provided for mounting a circuit board or device to be tested, and for mounting a sensor assembly, the positioning system having the capability of moving the sensor assembly in three dimensions. The sensor assembly is positioned on the mounting assembly such that it is not in contact with the circuit board under test. The sensor assembly in operation samples the electromagnetic field emanating from the circuit under test and converts those signals into a representative electrical signal in a digitized format. A processing system compares the measured values from the sensor assembly with reference values from the same point in a circuit known to be good and provides an indication to the user as to whether the difference therebetween is within an acceptable range or outside thereof.
Abstract: An apparatus for use in conducting gel electrophoresis. The apparatus includes a gel matrix and a tray for containing the gel. The tray consists of a bottom surface, opposed side walls and opposed end walls. The side walls are connected to the bottom surface and the end walls by frangible joints such that the side walls may be completely detached from the tray for ease of use.
Abstract: A baby carrier assembly which includes a baby support portion arranged to fit the lower torso of a baby, the support portion including openings through which the legs of the baby extend when the baby is supported upright in the support portion. Two spaced elongated web straps extend upwardly from the rear edge of the support portion. Each web strap includes a rigid hook on the end thereof, configured and arranged to fit over a panel member, such as a bathroom stall door, resulting in the baby being suspended within the support portion from the top edge of the door.

Abstract: The bedding article includes upper and lower fabric layers which are substantially identical in configuration and are secured to each other around the peripheries thereof. A plurality of channels are defined by channel baffle members which extend in a longitudinal direction of the bedding article. A plurality of curved, cup-like baffle elements are positioned in the channels, attached to the upper and lower fabric sections. The baffle members alternate in orientation, i.e. their direction of opening, along the length of the channel, wherein adjacent baffles which curve toward each other are spaced apart so as to permit fill to be blown into the channels and the volumes bounded by the baffle elements.
Abstract: The storage system includes a housing which is fittable into a bed of a pickup truck or utility vehicle, wherein the top member of the housing extends forwardly beyond the bottom member. Two pullout drawers are arranged side-by-side within the housing and extend so that a front surface thereof is substantially flush with the forward edge of the top member. The exposed surfaces of the housing have a protective polyurethane coating, providing protection against extreme weather. Connecting members extend from the sides of the housing to the sides of the pickup truck bed or utility vehicle.

Abstract: The method for calibration of a single point laser system used in a measuring system for wood boards in a sawmill includes the steps of storing two orthogonal dimensions of a calibration bar, the values of the two dimensions being different from each other; placing the calibration bar within the scan zone of the measuring system, which is between two opposing lasers; measuring the distance to the calibration bar from each laser in a first dimension, and rotating the bar to its orthogonal dimension and again measuring the distance to the bar from each of the lasers. The distance information to the calibration bar and the known dimensional values of the bar in the two dimensions are then used to determine that a calibration bar is present rather than a wood board to be measured. If the presence of a calibration bar is confirmed, then the distance values and the dimension values are used to determine the actual distance between the two lasers.
Abstract: The protective helmet includes a hard plastic shell member which is configured to fit over the top of the horse's head, with openings for the ears of the horse. The shell member has a particular configuration, with a front edge which fits around the top of the eyes of the horse and curves slightly downwardly between the eyes, side edges which extend from the front edge to the rear of the horse's head, and a rear edge which is located a distance down the back of the neck of the horse. An interior member is positioned on the interior surface of the shell member, made of soft, pliable material which conforms to the surface configuration of the horse's head when the helmet is secured thereto. A strap assembly extends between the respective sides edges of the shell member, including a buckle or other attachment portion which permits adjustable securement of the helmet on the horse's head.

A bead rolling or tire iron tool has ellipitical cross-sections proximal its ends and extensions, bearing surfaces at its bottom, a rectangular cross-section intermediate its ends and a slot intermediate its ends.
Abstract: The brushhead attachment system includes a hub member which is secured to a drive shaft of a personal care appliance for oscillating action. The hub member includes a number of spaced locking elements in the form of protrusions around the periphery thereof. An annular outer brushhead portion with a first group of bristles includes a plurality of spaced grooves in the outer surface thereof which mate with extending pins in the body of the appliance for insertion and removal of the outer brushhead portion.

Lines of stitching connect the upper layer to the lower layer at spaced lateral lines along the length of the featherbed, thereby defining successive abutting lateral half-tubules, which are filled such that the upper layer extends away from the lower layer in a curved configuration, defining a plurality of half-tubules, generally in the shape of half-ellipses, with the fill density being greater, approximately 21% than that of a similar-sized conventional featherbed.
Abstract: The pillow comprises four substantially identical fabric sections arranged in registry and secured together around the peripheries thereof. A line of stitching connects the middle two layers, defining a circular area in the center of the pillow. The pillow is filled between the middle two layers from the line of stitching to the peripheral edges of the fabric sections. Filling is also present between the upper fabric section and one of the middle fabric sections, and between the lower fabric layers and the other middle fabric section, resulting in a pillow which has less filling in the center thereof.
Abstract: A system which includes at least one ultrasound data collection device which is programmable to carry out a specific ultrasound procedure on a selected part of a human body of a patient. The resulting ultrasound data is transmitted via a local server at the site of the data collection device to the internet and from there to a web database server which processes the raw ultrasound data to produce medical result information, including ultrasound images, which is then sent to a skilled technician, who accepts the results, rejects or edits them. Accepted medical results are transmitted back to the medical practitioner, while edited medical results are reprocessed, the results of which are transmitted to the medical practitioner.
