  • Patent number: 4143505
Abstract: Apparatus in a crop roll forming machine for improving the core formation of the crop rolls and for collecting particles of crop material lost from either the crop package or loose crop material during the roll formation process consisting of an elongated tailgate with a collection pan. The particles are recycled from the collection pan back into the roll forming region by the cooperative interaction of the tailgate collection pan and the upper bale forming means as the bale forming means traverses a predetermined path imparting rotative motion to the crop material delivered to the roll forming region.

  • Patent number: 4120241
Abstract: An adjustable mechanism is disclosed for controlling the amount of feeder penetration into the bale chamber of a hay baler. A three-element linkage interconnecting the baler plunger and the feeder mechanism causes the feeder to reciprocate along a predetermined path toward and away from the bale chamber in timed relationship to the plunger movement. One of the linkage elements is selectively adjustable in length to control travel of the feeder mechanism, and thus the amount of penetration.

  • Patent number: 4119218
Abstract: The invention comprises improvements to an automatic bale wagon of the type having a transfer table and a load bed, the transfer table being arranged for receiving a tier of bales thereon and being pivotable between a bale-receiving position and a bale-unloading position in which latter position a tier of bales loaded thereon is transferred to the loadbed to form a stack of bales thereon comprising a plurality of tiers of bales. The invention enables the use of such a bale wagon in hillside conditions, and more especially on downward inclines in the longitudinal direction of the bale wagon without bales on the loadbed becoming disarranged.
