  • Patent number: 6098985
Abstract: The method of the present invention involves a card game in which the player plays multiple hands of cards. The player makes a wager for each row of cards and each row of cards becomes a separate hand to be played by the player. One hand of two, three, four or five cards are dealt all face up. The player selects none, one or more of the face up cards from the first hand as cards to be held. The cards that are held are duplicated from the first hand into all of the other hands. Replacement cards for the non-selected cards are dealt into the first hand and additional cards are then dealt to the first hand, if needed, so that the first hand has five cards. Additional cards are also dealt to all of the other hands so that each hand is a five card hand. The poker hand ranking of each five card hand is determined row by row. The player is then paid for any winning poker hands based on a pay table and the amount of the player's wager.

  • Patent number: 6045129
Abstract: Using an electronic video poker gaming machine, an initial five card hand is dealt and displayed to a player. The player selects which cards to hold and the unheld cards are discarded. Replacement cards are dealt to the player and the poker hand ranking of the final five card hand is determined. If the player has achieved a losing hand, the player is offered the opportunity to replay the initial five card hand. The player may hold the same or different cards when he replays the initial five card hand. The remaining cards are reshuffled and new replacement cards are dealt to the player. Winning hands are paid. The player must make a separate wager each time the player wishes to replay the initial five card hand. In one version, the player is only offered the opportunity to replay the initial five card hand if the player has a losing hand on the first play of the hand.

  • Patent number: 6036190
Abstract: A deck of playing cards has imprinted thereon different symbols, such as 7's, Bars, Bells, Grapes, Oranges, Melons and Cherries, and optionally a Wild Joker symbol. Each player is playing against a pay table and not against the dealer. Each player makes a first wager and the dealer deals three cards to each player. If the player is dealt three matching symbols, or One or Two Cherries or a Wild symbol, the player achieves a winning combination and is eligible to receive a payout based on the amount of the player's wager. The player may collect his winning amount and end the hand or the player may decline the winning amount, surrender his wager, make a second wager and proceed to the draw step of the method of play. If the player is dealt any pair or three-of-a-kind symbols, the player has the option of proceeding to the draw step or simply standing with his initial first wager winner or loser that was dealt to him.

  • Patent number: 5976016
Abstract: A player makes a wager for each pay line on a slot machine that the player wishes to play. On a first pay line of the slot machine, a first row of symbols is displayed to the player. The player selects none, one or more of the symbols from the first pay line as symbols to be held. The symbols that are held are duplicated from the first pay line into all of the other pay lines on which the player has wagered. Replacement symbols for the non-selected symbols are then randomly displayed on the first pay line for the symbols that were discarded. Additional symbols are also randomly displayed into all of the other pay lines wagered on by the player so that each pay line has the required number of symbols. The ranking of each pay line is determined by comparing the results of the displayed symbols to a pay table. The player is then paid for any winning pay lines based on the pay table and the amount of the player's wager.

  • Patent number: 5957774
Abstract: Traditional video poker is modified by paying the player a first winning amount if a predesignated arrangement of cards are achieved by the player on the deal. After the first winning amount is paid if won by the player, the game continues with the player holding or discarding as desired from the initial deal and replacement cards are provided to the player to establish the player's final hand. The player is paid a second amount if the player achieves a winning combination on his final hand. Traditional video poker is alternatively modified by the addition of Four to a Royal Flush as a winning hand. A player receives a higher payout if he achieves Four to a Royal Flush on the initial deal of five cards. A player receives a lower payout if he achieves Four to a Royal Flush after he has drawn replacement cards. Another variation comprises first displaying to the player all fifty-two cards of a conventional deck of cards.

  • Patent number: 5954335
Abstract: A game of Twenty-One is described in which the player has the opportunity to play his first two cards multiple times. The player makes two or more wagers at the beginning of the hand. The player is dealt two cards and the dealer receives his two cards. The player uses the first two cards as his first hand with his first wager and plays these two cards as he would in the conventional manner of play of Twenty-One. The player may Double Down, split pairs and take Insurance if those options are available under the house rules of play. After the player has completed the play of his first hand, he uses his original two cards again as the first two cards of his second hand with his second wager. Again, the player plays his second hand as he would in the conventional manner of play of Twenty-One. If the player has made three or more wagers, the player repeats the play of each hand again using his first two cards with each additional wager.

  • Patent number: 5934675
Abstract: The first two cards of the "Player's" hand are dealt face up as a community hand and placed at a community hand location. The dealer also deals two cards to himself comprising one card face up and one card face down and placed at a dealer's hand location. Then the first two cards forming the community hand automatically receive hits until the numerical count of the community hand is at least 12. Other numerical counts can be used such as 9, 10 or 11. Each player then individually chooses to "Hit" or "Stand" on the community hand. The dealer then plays his two cards and winners and losers are determined in the conventional manner. In an alternative variation, the initial deal comprises one card to the dealer and one "Community Card". Then each player gets one card for his hand and the dealer receives a card for the dealer's hand. The single "Community Card" is shared by both the dealer and each player giving the dealer and each player a two card hand.

  • Patent number: 5909875
Abstract: All of the possible keno numbers are displayed on an electronic reader board in the keno game room or on the electronic keno gaming machine. After each player has marked his keno ticket and prior to the start of drawing keno balls, an electronic random number generator is used to select a predetermined group of keno numbers to be "red" numbers for that particular game. All of the other remaining keno numbers are "white" numbers for that particular game of keno. When a player achieves a winning keno ticket, the player wins certain preestablished payouts depending upon whether the player has an all "red" keno winning combination, an all "white" winning keno combination or a "mixed color" winning keno combination. A bonus jackpot feature can be also added to the method of play of keno. In one version of this bonus jackpot feature, the player wins the traditional keno payout for achieving a regular winning combination of matching numbers selected by the player.
