Abstract: Equipment for loading, moving and feeding round bales having a bale lifting mechanism, a T-bar to move the bales along a trailer bed surface and having a pair of tiltable platforms at the front of the trailer bed. One of the platforms is used to move the bale to the other platform and the second platform cooperates with a feeding drum to unwrap the bale substance in a controlled manner.
Abstract: A precision electric welding device is used for welding dental crowns and bridges in the mouth. The dental elements to be welded comprise dentally suitable metals, especially titanium and titanium alloys. The device comprises a welding gun and a base unit provided with a direct current voltage source and a storage device for storing welding sequences. Each welding sequence defines the energy requirements for successive pulses in a particular welding operation. The base unit generates a series of controlled voltage potentials for each operation, and the welding gun is responsive thereto for performing the welding operations. The portable welding system is of the capacity-discharge, contact-resistance type, and performs welding with high-precision endo-oral metals by generating controlled sequences of electrical energy pulses (1) selected from a permanent storage library, or (2) manually controlled from a local console, or (3) externally controlled from an external computer.
Abstract: A spike intended for a golf shoe comprises: a spike body provided with a rear-end flange in a rear-end surface of which a small center hole is provided; a dish-like metallic plate having a central opening and a dish-like concave portion which corresponds in configuration to the rear-end flange of the spike body; and a fixing plate provided with a metallic disk body, a center pin provided in a central portion of the metallic disk body at its front surface so as to be inserted into the small center hole of the spike body, and a threaded shaft provided in a central position of a rear surface of the metallic disk body. In such spike, the spike body is inserted into the central opening of the metallic plate and embedded therein, and receives at the small center hole thereof the center pin of the fixing plate so that the spike body and the metallic plate are assembled and integrally fixed to each other together with the fixing plate by spot-welding a peripheral portion of the fixing plate to the metallic plate.
Abstract: A shearing device having one pivoting member formed of two metallic blades having their base ends spaced with one another and their lengths gradually approaching one another until their distal ends which are in engagement with one another and the inner edges of which are beveled to present cutting surfaces. A second cutting member is pivotally secured to said first member and is formed with a pair of cutting edges for cooperation with the two first-mentioned edges wherein a sheet of material placed therebetween is severed along two edges providing an opening rather than a slit.
Abstract: This puzzle device is constructed for recreation, amusement and educational purposes. Primarily, it consists of a multiple number of tubes that are joined together by a cord that is exposed at the ends of the tubes to serve as hinges for manipulating the device to form various geometric shapes, such as, a cube, a square, a hexagonal form, a rectangle, a four sided pyramid, a three sided pyramid, etc.
Abstract: A push button device for electric contacts or the like, particularly suitable for instrumentation panels, that includes a fixed annular body having a movable body external thereof. Two small cylinder-shaped members of conductive material, which in their rest position, are between the fixed body and the movable body and in their contact operative position, are adjacent to the base of the annular body. The device also includes return springs connected to the respective ends of the cylinder-shaped conductive members.
Abstract: The nut-runner has a power arm and a reaction arm constructed preferably as a casing, each of which is guided in a first end region so as to be pivotable opposite the other about a common axis. It has a clamp wheel with gearing mounted in a drilled hole in the first end region of the power arm so as to be rotatable about the axis, and a catch mounted on the power arm and interacting with this clamp wheel, said catch being in the engaged position when the power arm pivots in one direction, in which said catch engages with the teeth of the clamp wheel and slips over the teeth of the clamp wheel when the power arm pivots in the other direction. The nut-runner also has a hydraulic power cylinder consisting of a cylinder and a piston and acting between the two arms in the vicinity of their other end regions. The reaction arm encompasses the clamp wheel through a maximum of 180 degrees.

Abstract: A diaphragm for an electroacoustic transducer comprising stratiform mineral of layers into which a hardener or an agent for facilitating hardening is adsorbed between the layers, thermosetting resin monomer, and carbonfibers which constitute a composite material which is formed under heat and pressure. The diaphragm is increased in rigidity which is required as physical properties therefor and is easy in forming.
Abstract: A coincineration process whereby sewage sludge or other toxic liquid chemical waste is incinerated with a supplemental fuel such as municipal refuse, coal, sawdust, tire chips and the like involves introducing the sewage sludge into the incineration zone by means of a pressure spray nozzle or a spinning cone or disc atomizer. In the form of ultrafine solids, liquid or gas, a supplemental fuel may be introduced with the sewage sludge. Supplemental fuel may also be introduced into the incinerator by conventional means. Addition of tire chips in the feed provides in a higher incineration zone temperature and significantly reduces dioxin compounds present in the incineration zone off gas. Also, to reduce the scaling and fouling of the boiler tubes and incinerator, to increase the density and pumpability of the sewage sludge, and to eliminate metal salt deposits from the incinerator, the boiler feedwater and the sewage sludge are each contacted with an electromagnetic field device prior to heating.
Abstract: Dental crowns, bridges and jointing implements or tabs for dental prostheses which are capable of being welded in the mouth are disclosed. These structures are preferably comprised of high purity titanium alloy. The dental crowns are formed as a cast or prepressed central cap in the shape of the tooth to be treated. The crown is additionally provided with one or two tabs which correspond to one or both of the linking sides of the crown with an adjacent crown. The titanium jointing tabs are designed for coupling and welding in the mouth and may be used with crowns or bridges of conventional structure such as gold or a gold alloy. Each jointing implement is provided at one end with a shaped element such as a screw to be rigidly coupled to the crown. The jointing implement is also optionally provided with one or more microindentations on the inside lateral surface to facilitate welding in the mouth with the jointing implement or tab of the crown element associated with the adjacent tooth.

Abstract: This invention relates to a balancing means provided as part of an ornament worn around the neck for maintaining an inertial balance and predetermined degree of symmetry about the neck while alleviating or completely eliminating pressure directly exerted on the neck. More particularly, the balancing means includes shoulder rests on different portions of a closable loop necklace ornament, and also balancing weights on other different portions on the loop.
Abstract: A flexible element of (dual) wave crest concave, it consists of a single or multiple flexible elements, in which the contour of each flexible element is composed of segmental arcs of lower wave trough (Radius=R.sub.1), (dual) wave crest (Radius=R.sub.2) (where R.sub.1 =R.sub.2) and upper wave trough (Radius=R.sub.3, R.sub.3 =R.sub.1 or R.sub.3 .noteq.R.sub.1) tangential to each other smoothly. This kind of flexible element distributes stresses and strains uniformly, increases flexibility and can bear greater angular deflection. It can be used as element for sensor, sealing, shock absorber, compensator or expansion joint, being widely applied in the field of automatic control and instrument.
Abstract: A distributed privacy oriented telephone extension system having up to three different kinds of privacy circuits of different capacity for coupling a respective extension phone to the telephone line. Selective user configuration of the telephone extension system effects one level of privacy control and spontaneous user control during conversation to disconnect or reconnect other phones effects a second level of user control relating to the extent of privacy achieved.

Abstract: A novel electrical connector structure having integrally molded plastic construction with a first premold core and a second integrally molded external shell separated by metallic foil or stamping. Plastic spring-clips of integral plastic formation are also provided with dual notches thereon one for direct engagement with a matching connector and the other a mounting panel or bracket. Concurrent connection of the connector to a matching connector and to a panel or bracket is made possible in which the matching connector is independently attachable or detachable from the connector with respect to said panel or bracket. The spring-clips are of such a compressible configuration such that when compressed the spring-clip deforms or deflects from its original configuration, and upon release of external pressure, it tends to revert back to its original disposition.
Abstract: A toy money box in the form of a slot machine which has a coin store for a jackpot prize. That store has a hinged base which is normally held shut by engagement of a cam on a pivoted arm with a cam follower found on the base, displacement of the pivoted arm upon sensing of a winning combination for the chance wheels releasing the hinged base to release prize money. Additionally, a clutch mechanism is provided between the operating handle and the operating mechanism. This reduces the chance of damage to the operating mechanism should the handle be operated when the mechanism is jammed. The wheels are set in rotation by spring loaded fingers which drive said wheels, said fingers being moved to their loaded position by said clutch and engaging a stop to causing said clutch to release the fingers which spring back and spin the change wheels.
Abstract: A portable tray assembly which is particularly adapted for use with furniture that is to be used on irregular surfaces. The assembly can be secured to the leg of the furniture at a selected radial position, the tray portion rotated to a selected position, leveled by way of a swivel joint, and secured by way of nut and screw locking means.
Abstract: A device for removing irregularities in or enlarging a buried duct comprises a cylindrical housing corresponding approximately in diameter to the required diameter of the duct, an expandable sheet comprising a plurality of tapered leaf members pivotally attached at their rear ends to the front of the housing, and remotely controllable drive means for moving the leaf members between contracted and expanded configurations. In operation, the apparatus is drawn through the duct with the leaf members in a contracted configuration in which they enter a portion of the duct of a diameter less than the required diameter. The drive means is operated to force the leaf members outwardly against the sides of the duct to expand the duct. The leaf members are then retracted and the apparatus is drawn forward. The apparatus is particularly intended for preparing damaged sewers prior to fitting an inner, lining pipe.
