  • Patent number: 5022253
Abstract: A hand-held punch pliers for simultaneously punching and connecting overlapping sheet metal as at the corners of overlapping ceiling tile grids and the like comprising a die handle to which a hollow die is affixed, a punch handle to which a punch is affixed. The punch is sized for insertion along an arcuate path into the die. A joint pivotably connects the die handle to the punch handle such that the die and the punch are moveable in arcuate paths about the joint into and out of punching engagement by manually squeezing and releasing the handles.

  • Patent number: 4966212
Abstract: A wheel and tire assembly with a solid rubber tire for use on heavy construction equipment. The assembly comprises a mounting disc, a large diameter rim, having a cylindrical surface, rigidly affixed to the mounting disc and having actually opposed peripheral sides. Cross rib means are rigidly fastened to and laterally extending across the cylindrical surface. There are side support means rigidly affixed to and radially projecting from each peripheral side of the cylindrical rim surface. A base layer of even thickness of substantially flat rubber is cemented to the cylindrical surface interposed between the cross ribs and the side supports. Multiple additional layers of even thickness substantially flat sheet rubber are bonded to the base layer and each succeeding additional layer of even thickness substantially flat sheet rubber is bonded to the preceding additonal layer until a low profile solid rubber tire is obtained, which tire is bonded directly to the large diameter rim.

  • Patent number: 4942758
Abstract: A computerized leak tester system for rapidly testing a work piece for fluid leaks comprising a continuously regulated pressure supply, a coupler for connecting the pressure supply to a work piece through a valve such that the work piece is both pressurized and tested for leaks through the valve. A differential pressure transducer is connected across the valve for producing a signal in response to a differential pressure detected across the valve. A signal conversion means is provided for receiving the signal from the differential pressure transducer and for converting it into a computer readable signal. A computer is provided for receiving the computer readable signal which represents differential pressure value and for converting the differential pressure valve into a current flow rate value. Circuitry is provided in the computer for comparing the current flow rate to a predetermined flow rate value representing a maximum allowable leak rate.

  • Patent number: 4858300
Abstract: An attached pulverulent and granular material shake down apparatus which comprises a main body of a shock application device operable by a three-way valve and a high pressure air generation device connected to the shock application device main body. The shock application device main body is composed of a valve chamber formed with an air feed/discharge port connected to an air flow path and including an umbrella-type valve therein, a communication pipe communicating with a pressure accumulator chamber for storing or releasing a high pressure air in response to the operation of the umbrella-type valve, a piston which can be accelerated to a high speed by the high pressure air released, and a return spring.
