  • Patent number: 4471898
Abstract: Disclosed is a modular power supply having a case made up of top, bottom and side plates. Each plate has either a male or female portion at the edge which is slidably interconnectable with the edge of an adjacent plate. In addition, male and/or female portions located on the top, bottom and side plates matingly engage with similar female and/or male portions on a handle, output device receptacle, etc. The internal portions of the power supply are divided into three modular components. The first modular component includes a transformer and a primary coil select switch and is connected to the rear portion of the case preventing the case sides from slipping apart from the top and bottom plates. A second modular component is a printed circuit board interconnectable with the first modular component and containing a temperature control circuit and an air pump and motor combination. The second modular component is slidably received into the case.

  • Patent number: 4471745
Abstract: An internal combustion engine is provided with an exhaust gas recirculating passage for communicating the intake passage and the exhaust passage thereof. The recirculating passage is provided with a valve for controlling the amount of recirculated exhaust gas. A fundamental air-fuel ratio control value for regulating the air-fuel ratio of the intake gas to a predetermined value is corrected by an operating condition correction value according to the operating condition of the engine. The operating condition correction value is successively changed to an optimal value by comparing the actually obtained air-fuel ratio with a predetermined value. The operating condition correction value for correcting the fundamental air-fuel ratio control value when the exhaust gas recirculation is carried out is changed independently from the same for correcting the fundamental air-fuel ratio correction value when the exhaust gas recirculation is not carried out.

  • Patent number: 4464415
Abstract: A semi-amporphous, photoelectric conversion semiconductor manufacturing method in which substrates are disposed in a reaction chamber having a gas inlet and a gas outlet and a gas mixture containing at least a semiconductor material gas which includes a dangling bond neutralizer and a carrier gas is introduced into the reaction chamber. An electromagnetic field is applied to the gas mixture to ionize it into a gas mixture plasma in the reaction chamber. The plasma is passed to the substrates where the semiconductor material doped with the neutralizer is deposited on each substrate. The semiconductor material deposited on each substrate becomes a semi-amporphous, photoelectric conversion semiconductor by holding the atmospheric pressure in the reaction chamber below 1 atm and maintaining the substrate at a temperature lower than the temperature at which the semiconductor material on the substrate becomes crystallized.

  • Patent number: 4461783
Abstract: A non-single-crystalline semiconductor layer on a substrate and a method of making same. The non-single-crystalline compound semiconductor layer, which consists principally of silicon and tin and is expressed by Si.sub.x Sn.sub.1-x (0<x<1) and which has a smaller energy band gap than a non-single-crystalline semiconductor of silicon and contains hydrogen as a dangling bond neutralizer. The method of making the layer employs a reaction chamber where the substrate is disposed in the chamber. A mixture gas containing at least a semiconductor material gas consisting principally of silicon hydride and an additional semiconductor material gas consisting of tin hydroxide or halide is introduced into the chamber where an ionizing, high-frequency electromagnetic field is applied to the mixture gas to ionize it into a mixture gas plasma. • Patent number: 4451501
Abstract: A magnetic metal deposition material contained in a hearth is heated and evaporated in a vacuum to form a flow of vapor, which is then ionized and converged toward a predetermined deposition surface of a flexible substrate. The flexible substrate is moved obliquely downwardly along a convex course by sliding contact with the curved surface a fixed curved guiding body between a pair of guide rollers located at different heights above the hearth. The fixed curved guiding body communicates with a coolant source for cooling the substrate moving in contact therewith and may be provided with oscillators.
