  • Patent number: 5987148
Abstract: A driver for use with a horn radiator includes a heat conductive hollow base that confines an upwardly opened cavity for receiving a yoke. The yoke has an outer wall surface that defines a first clearance with the base, and an inner wall surface which is formed with a through hole that extends to the outer wall surface. A permanent magnet is received in the yoke, and defines a second clearance with the inner wall surface of the yoke. A flux guiding plate is superimposed on the permanent magnet, and is disposed in the yoke to define a gap with the inner wall surface of the yoke. The second clearance is communicated fluidly with the first clearance via the through hole, and is in fluid communication with the gap. A diaphragm has a top portion disposed above the flux guiding plate, and an annular extension extending into the gap. A voice coil is connected to the annular extension of the diaphragm, and is disposed in the gap.

  • Patent number: 5970711
Abstract: A main object of the present invention is to provide a technique capable of improving the assembling performance of a double seal ring. According to the first embodiment of the invention, on the piston 31 side to which a seal ring is attached, there are provided a ring retaining portion 300 having an outside diameter L0 and for retaining a double seal ring 51, a first land portion 310 adjacent to the ring retaining portion 300 and having an outside diameter L1 (where L1>L0), and a second land portion 320 adjacent to an opposite side of the ring retaining portion 300 to the first land portion 310 and having an outside diameter L2 (where L2<L1). The outside diameter L2 of the second land portion 320 is set to be equal to or smaller than an inside diameter of the outer peripheral resin ring 55, and one side surface of the outer peripheral resin ring 55 on the side of the second land portion 320 is supported by a retainer ring 80 retained by the piston 31.

  • Patent number: 5973710
Abstract: Graphic matter, such as words and images, is printed on a document in bound form, such as passport, by forming the graphic matter by laser printing steps on a temporary substrate and provisionally setting the graphic matter thus formed on the temporary substrate. Thereafter, the temporary substrate is juxtaposed with its face carrying the image in contact with the rear face of a transparent substrate, and the image is transferred to the rear face of this latter. Then the transparent substrate is juxtaposed to the final substrate that is intended to carry the image, with its rear face in contact with the front face of the final substrate, and the two substrates are laminated together, so that the image remains enclosed in the laminate and is visible from the front face of the transparent substrate as if it were printed on the final substrate.

  • Patent number: 5971721
Abstract: An energy efficient high pressure pump system includes a drive motor driving an eccentric transmission, which drives a reciprocation pump having a number of cylinders. The eccentric transmission transmits a torque demand from the reciprocating pump, which varies with time, to the drive motor such that the torque demand on the drive motor is substantially constant. The pump system includes an eccentric sprocket mounted on the output shaft of a drive motor and driving an eccentric sprocket on an idler which includes a concentric sprocket driving a concentric sprocket on the reciprocating pump with the eccentricity of the eccentric sprockets being proportional to the maximum and minimum torque demand characteristics of the reciprocating pump.
