Abstract: The invention relates to dispersion interferometers for measuring a dispersion portion of the refractive index of an investigated medium by an interferometric method and can be used in the optical industry and in the composition of diagnostic complexes of various plasma installations of the type of Tokamak, Stellarator, gas-discharge lasers. The dispersion interferometer comprising a radiation source, two nonlinear optical doublers of frequency at a distance ensuring a location of an object under examination therebetween, a light filter means and a recording device, all arranged along an optical axis. Additionally provided is a polarization beam splitter, and the two non-linear optical frequency doublers are so oriented that the directions of polarization of fast waves are orthogonal to each other and do not coincide with ones separated by the beam splitter and the radiation source.

Abstract: An outside rearview mirror for vehicles having a fixed part and a folding part pivotally connected to each other. A reversible motor is mounted on the fixed part. A serrate shaft is commonly received in the pivot bosses of the parts, thus to pivotally couple the folding part to the fixed part. The rotational force of the motor is transmitted to the serrate shaft through power transmission means. The pivot boss of the folding part has an internal gear gearing into the serrate shaft, the internal gear coupling the second pivot boss to the serrate shaft in the spline type coupling. Both the rotating motion and the number of revolutions of the motor are controlled by motor control means. The power transmission means comprises a drive gear on the output shaft of the motor and speed reduction middle gears gearing into both the drive gear and the serrate shaft.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a high voltage cut-off semiconductor device that can prevent unstable supply voltage of several volts that is not cut off by a conventional electrostatic discharge protection circuit from being applied to an internal circuit and apply only stable supply voltage to the internal circuit, thereby enhancing the characteristics of the semiconductor device and shortening the channel length of the transistors forming the internal circuit by suing a constant voltage circuit having a zener diode.
Abstract: An alternator control system controls a field current passing an alternator so as to regulate a terminal voltage of a vehicle battery to a target voltage, based on a deviation of the terminal voltage from the target voltage, by feedback control. The field current is corrected based on a delay in current generation of the alternator.
Abstract: A system for writing geometric structures on a photosensitive substrate including a modulated laser beam source, a focusing lens, a deflector for producing a scanning action between the light source and the lens, and a device for mechanically moving the surface relative to the laser beam. Compressed data for use in writing the geometric structures is read out of a memory into a data delivery circuit such that the data is formatted to have both beam power and position information. A modulator logic circuit operates to call up the data from the data delivery circuit, form a modulation drive signal based on the power information, and delay the modulation drive signal based the position data. The modulator logic circuit thus operates to vary the modulation drive signal to begin or end exposure along the scan lines with greater resolution or pixel density by at least a factor of four more than the resolution or spacing density between adjacent scan lines.
Abstract: A traction control system for a motor vehicle has a four wheel steering device for controlling a steering characteristic of the vehicle based on a yaw rate difference between an actual yaw rate and a target yaw rate of the vehicle. The traction control system further has a device for controlling driven torque applied to a driven wheel while a slip is generated in the driven wheel. A correction device is used for correcting the driven torque to be small as a wheel steering angle becomes large while the four wheel steering device is operated.
Abstract: An injection molded product including a plurality of internal cavities is produced by, after having injected a molten resin material into the molding cavity, injecting an inert gas with a gas pressure gradually increasing into the resin material through gas injection nozzles, which are in contact with the resin material to form the respective internal cavities inside the molten resin material. After removing the gas injection nozzles from the resin material for discharging of the inert gas directly from the resin material, any one of the gas injection nozzles, whose temperature during injection of the inert gas was lower than a predetermined temperature level, is judged to be clogged and the gas injection nozzle is cleaned by being blown out with high pressure gas.

Abstract: The apparatus measure the radius of curvature of a reflective or partially reflective surface 18, and comprises first and second lasers 2, 4 which generate two parallel beams a known distance apart. A lens 12 focuses the beams, which are passed via a beam splitter 14 and transform lens 16 to the surface 18. The beams are reflected back via the transform lens 16 and the beam splitter 14 onto a detector 20. A processor 22 calculates the radius of curvature of the surface in dependence of the known distance X separating the beams and the positions of the beams on the detector 20.

Abstract: A film storing device is provided for storing a plurality of film assembly each including an image bearing film which is attached to a sheet-like mount.
