Abstract: An OLT, which is one of the embodiments of the present invention, is provided with: an allocation request receiving unit that receives a bandwidth allocation request from each of 1G-ONUs and each of 10G-ONUs; an allocation execution unit that allocates to each of the ONUs a time slot for data transmission in accordance with an allocation rule based on fairness in time allocation or an allocation rule based on fairness in throughput allocation; and an allocation result notification unit that notifies each of the ONUs of information regarding the time slot.

The kit also comprises a first non-return valve placed along the fluidic line, a duct connected to the fluidic line between the compressor unit and the first non-return valve and a second non-return valve to close the duct; the first and second non-return valves are normally closed and respectively open automatically when the container unit is connected to the fluidic line or when the duct is connected to the inflatable item.

The construction equipment comprises a rear view camera to permit a driver to view rearward traffic conditions.

Abstract: A storage container having a collapsible unit and a twist cap is described. The collapsible unit is a type of bellows which includes a base and a sidewall attached to the base. The sidewall has a spiral fold that traverses along a portion of the length of that the collapsible unit. The length can be compressed by folding the collapsible unit along the spiral fold. As the length of the collapsible unit is reduced, access to any remaining products, such as acne pad products, stored at the bottom of the collapsible unit can be more conveniently obtained. The cap of the storage container includes a ring collar; a sleeve attached to the ring collar; and a guide attached to the sleeve. When the cap is turned or twisted the guide and the spiral fold are configured to slidably engage each other which results in shortening the length of the collapsible unit.

Abstract: Solid-state storage systems and methods are provided for controlling a wear leveling process for uniform use of the memory cells that replaces worn memory blocks with less frequently used memory blocks. The wear leveling process is performed by changing the physical locations of the storage cells within each memory zone or plane. Reference values of target memory block erase counts and worn memory block erase counts are used for searching target memory blocks to be used as replacements.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for filtering a multicast port identifier, the apparatus including: a processor to receive an Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) message from a switching unit, to verify a traffic reception request received from a subscriber terminal based on the IGMP message, and to store a value in a filtering register based on the traffic reception request; and an Optical Network Unit (ONU) Media Access Control (MAC) manager to filter a packet to be forwarded to the subscriber terminal, using a port identifier for traffic forwarding and reception with the subscriber terminal, and using the value of the filtering register indicating an existence of traffic to be forwarded to the subscriber terminal.

Abstract: A phase change memory device capable of reducing disturbances between adjacent PRAM memory cells and a fabrication method are presented. The phase change memory device includes word lines, heating electrodes, an interlayer insulating layer, and a phase change lines. The word lines are formed on a semiconductor substrate and extend in parallel with a constant space. The heating electrodes are electrically connected to the plurality of word lines. The interlayer insulating layer insulates the heating electrodes. The phase change lines extend in a direction orthogonal to the word line and are electrically connected to the heating electrodes. Curves are formed on a surface of the interlayer insulating layer between the word lines such that the effective length of the phase change layer between adjacent heating electrodes is larger than the physical distance between the adjacent heating electrodes.

A bypass valve can take up a reduced-speed position in which the feed main orifices are connected to the discharge main duct, and an increased-speed position in which one of the motors is bypassed, the feed main orifice of the motor being connected to the discharge main duct via a bypass link, while the other main orifices continue to have their respective links. The apparatus further includes a constriction suitable for being activated to restrict the flow of fluid through the bypass link.

Abstract: A method of performing analog to digital conversation of an analog signal Vin(t), the method including the steps of: utilizing both of the complementary arms of an electro-optic modulator to recover the analog input signal Vin(t), while using only one time-stretch element and one ?-demultiplexer after the electro-optic modulator. The single time-stretch element and one ?-demultiplexer serve to stretch and demultiplex the signals from both of the complementary output arms of the electro-optic modulator thereby improving and simplifying post-processing algorithms used to correct for static distortions and nonlinearities that originate from imperfect photonic hardware. Double-balanced photoreceivers are preferably coupled to outputs of the single ?-demultiplexer. The single time-stretch element is preferably implemented by a chirped fiber grating. Apparatus for carrying out the method is described.

Abstract: A support assembly for a deformable sealing element of a downhole tool such as a packer, bridge plug or straddle. The support assembly has first and second support devices at each end of the sealing element with each device having an elastically deformable support member adapted to be located between the respective end of the sealing element and an actuating member of the downhole tool. Additionally, a guide member with an inclined guide surface is provided such that the support member travels along the inclined surface when a force is exerted by the actuating member to expand the sealing element radially into abutment with a surface downhole. The support member moves radially outwards to support the respective end of the sealing element during deformation.
