  • Patent number: 7448410
Abstract: A high differential pressure, low torque precision temperature control valve is disclosed herein. This valve is trunnionated with stem components that are separable from the plug for ease of maintenance and manufacturability and thus reducing the need to remove the entire plug and sealing assemblies in the field. Field repair of stem sealing devices can be accomplished inline. The stem design can be smaller in diameter with smaller bearing surfaces than would be anticipated creating a lower requirement of torque to rotationally transposition the plug within the fluid chamber while under high pressure. This valve's lower trunnionated stem is stationery reducing the problems associated with o-ring failure and leakage problems with objects that rotate. Due to the design of the orifices in the plug, this valve is capable of repeatability at lower opening ranges than prior art valves and reduces jetting, caviation and erosion often associated with lower opening ranges.

  • Patent number: 7320439
Abstract: An apparatus for the purpose of dispensing a chemical agent whose function is to detract or alternatively attract and destroy, insects, in particular, flying insects. The apparatus consists of a chemical source, a connection to a fluid source, usually water, a reservoir for chemical mixing and a pump for mixing and creating pressure. Mixing reservoir is of such size to eliminate any chance of chemical mixture separation and where the chemical mixture is agitated prior to each dispensing cycle. Fluid is disbursed under pressure through a series of atomizing devices, interconnected to the apparatus through a flexible plastic delivery conduit. The Apparatus functions are controlled through the use of an electronic interface. Preferred agent used is pyrethrum based, naturally occurring or synthesized, which possesses an antagonistic effect toward targeted pests but apparatus is designed to be adaptable to a wide range chemicals.

  • Patent number: 7184658
Abstract: In the realm of professional photography, and those amateur wanting professional results, when photographing people, the illumination devices must be located directly above and on the centerline of the camera lens. This is the desired effect as not to have shadows behind the subjects. Changing from landscape to portrait modes, currently requires the re-adjustment of the illumination devices to bring them in line with the camera. In photographing people, the instant does not wait for the photographer to ready his equipment, rather the photographer must be able to adapt quickly. There exists many different kinds illumination devices that are necessary for proper illumination of photographic subjects, in particular people. There also exists cameras that utilize digital imaging technology that senses through the camera lens for exactitudes of distance and amount of ambient light.

  • Patent number: 7159713
Abstract: A sharps blade protection device is disclosed that adapts to currently used scalpel handles but uniquely is also usable with other existing styles of sharps including kitchen and hobby knives. This invention is adaptable over a broad range of sharps devices enabling users of many different sharps to be protected during and after use. The device is designed so that the user can easily insert and remove the sharp so that training of use is minimized if needed at all. The device is usable with a single hand, and both left handed or right handed operators are able to use all of the benefits of this device with equal ease. Device can include a member whereby it removes the tang portion of a surgical scalpel blade from the holder on the scalpel and places it onto a retention post, where it remains until the blade is safety removed from the handle by a movement of the blade guard.

  • Patent number: 7050887
Abstract: A passive wireless sensor and control transmitter subsystem is provided for operating irrigation or other hydraulic system. The system includes a master module unit hardwired to and in communication with an existing hydraulic system controller, and a field module unit that is hardwired to and in communication with field electromechanical control devices such as valves, solenoids and servo motors, and field sensors indicating, for example, atmospheric conditions. The master module unit and field module unit communicate with digital wireless communication and can act as a simple wireless bridge providing pass through data connectivity. The master module and field module units are capable of digitizing input signals from the devices to which they are hardwired and transmitting them to the opposite module; they are further capable of recreating the digitized signals received back into the analog form to reproduce the original input signal and communicating it to the device to which it is hardwired.
