    Abstract: A mobile isolation unit which forms a chemical and biological barrier that is has a substantially rectangular-parallelepiped shaped enclosure and a frame system configured to support the enclosure in the suspended position so as to create and internal and external environment. The enclosure may also be equipped with at least one opening for access into and out of the enclosure, a zipper for opening and closing the access port, at least one biomedical port, and a plurality of support points configured to support the enclosed in the suspended position when the frame is in an open position so that a patient can be placed in and out of the enclosure. A method for isolating and treating a patient using the mobile isolation unit is also provided.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a trash bin, namely an enclosed trash bin having a top and front doors that swing open on a hinged system. The enclosed trash bin contains a detachable cart in which trash and/or trash cans can be placed upon for storage and the cart can be detached from the rest of the trash bin and wheeled to the curb on trash pick-up day. The wheeled cart can either be removed from the inside of the trash bin or makes up at least one portion of the trash bin so that when it is removed it is brought to the curb with at least one portion of the cart. When the cart is returned to the trash bin and placed inside of the bin the trash bin is then whole and impermeable to raccoons and other animals and/or rodents.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to an apparatus for delivering activated microorganisms to an environment to be treated. The apparatus has a bioreactor containing microorganisms, a supply of organic and inorganic nutrients and a controller. The controller maintains the conditions of the bioreactor so as to maintain the microorganisms in the exponential phase of growth. The controller also doses a portion of the fluid in the bioreactor to the environment to be treated. The invention also provides a method for the biological treatment of wastes and an organic and inorganic composition used to feed the microorganisms in the bioreactor.
