    Abstract: The present invention relates to novel derivatives of imidazolin-2-thione and a method of preparing same. These novel compounds comprise N,N'-bis-substituted imidazolin-2-thiones of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is ##STR2## R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl. The method of preparing said compounds according to the present invention comprises reacting imidazolin-2-thione with formaldehyde and a compound of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl, at the molar ratio therebetween of 1:2:2 respectively in an aqueous medium or in a medium of polar organic solvents at a temperature ranging from 20.degree. to 80.degree. C. The method according to the invention makes it possible to obtain the desired product at a high yield (up to 93% of the theoretical value).

    Abstract: The process according to the invention comprises submerged cultivation of microorganisms producing an amino acid in a nutrient media including nitrogen, mineral salts and a source of carbon - a mixture of hexose and pentose monosaccharides obtained by percolation hydrolysis of cellulose-containing plant raw materials, purified to remove furfural and containing oxymethyl furfural and lignogummin substances in an amount of 1-3% by weight of the monosaccharides.The advantage of the process according to the invention resides in the abundance and low cost of the carbon source, reduction of the number of production steps, the presence of a mixture of monosaccharides stimulating the growth of microorganisms in the solution and improvement of quality of the end product.

    Abstract: The disclosed apparatus relates to the microbiological industry and can be used in the food and medical industries, as well as in agriculture for utilization of the waste and refuse of animal-breeding farms. The apparatus comprises a sealed vertically arranged vessel divided into a vertical row of sections by perforated partitions of two kinds mounted alternatingly height-wise of the vessel. Some of the partitions are made as discs arranged so that annular gaps remain between them and the vessel housing, while other partitions are in the form of flat rings; the annular gaps and the central openings of the flat rings serve as ducts for the passage of a nutrient medium into the underlying sections. Mounted above the perforated partitions are cylindrical shells serving as intermediate accumulators for the nutrient medium, and blade-type agitators adapted to urge the nutrient medium toward the annular gaps and central openings.

    Abstract: A system for graphic representation of a vessel's position on the Mercator map, comprising a velocity and drift angle sensor and a heading sensor which are connected to a computer to compute the longitudinal and latitudinal velocity components. The computer has its outputs connected to respective binary multipliers which, in turn, are connected via a storage to a nonlinear converter and, via respective circuits incorporating frequency dividers, to integrating drives of a plotter intended to indicate the position of the vessel on the Mercator map. The nonlinear converter is intended to reproduce electric signals in the form of trigonometric functions and has its correction input connected to an output of an approximator of the correction for the meridional minute length at the location of the vessel. An information input of the nonlinear converter is connected to an output of an adder.

The pear-shaped valve points inside the bulb, and its neck bears a spring element.When the bulb is drawn along an occluded vessel, with better maneuverability, the bulb's cavity is more reliably sealed after the catheter has been detached therefrom.

The control unit effects switching on of the mechanisms and the systems in a predetermined succession and switching on of the actuating mechanism of the carrier gas feed controller, depending on the detector signal indicative of the powder presense in the detonation products.
