Abstract: A method for constructing a soft fabric insert for golf bags with partitions for golf clubs. The method includes stitching a center section having an "X" cross section and four wider sheets formed with a cross section resembling the letter "M" with By stitching the four edges of the center "X" between selected double legs of the "M" sheets, stitching together the outer legs of the "M" sheets, and sewing the edges of the "M" sheet to a cover which is closed to become tubular, an insert may be formed with partitions numbering from twelve to sixteen.

Abstract: A reflective shade for an electric table lamp includes a conventional frustrum shape but with removeable translucent plastic disks spanning the top opening for reflecting the light back down toward the table top and for transmitting colored light for creating an ambiance in the environment. The disks attached to the shade are supported on a cylindrical chimney and the lower disk may fit within the chimney to center the shade on the lamp.

Abstract: A braille teaching tool that audibly pronounces each braille character as it is touched by the student is comprised of a touch pad having a rectangular matrix of touch sensitive areas each connected to a processor with memory for identifying each sensitive area of each sheet of braille placed on the touch pad. The processor is coupled to a speech synthesizer for pronouncing the braille character.

Abstract: A vehicle jack and dolly for quickly and easily raising the vehicle includes a support which is slipped around the bottom of the tire from the side of the vehicle, pivot bars and axles that are parallel to, spaced from and rotatable around the pivot bar. Short bars extending from the axles may be forced downward to rotate the axles and lift the vehicle to the point where a hook drops in place to lock it. The axles have small wheels so that two dollies may be used on two opposite wheels to move the vehicle.

Abstract: A small expendable device for accurately and very quickly adjusting the verticality of door jambs without shingles or other shims. The device includes a body member which is attached to the rough wall opening and a carriage member which is attached to the door jamb and which is slideable in tracks across the body member. A Phillips screwdriver is placed in a tapered hole in the body between the tracks and its blades mate with a toothed edge of the carriage so that rotation of the screwdriver will force out or draw in the carriage. When locked, the door casing is applied over the door set device.

Abstract: A shelf restraint for holding books and other objects on a shelf in the event of an earthquake comprises a pair of identical bookends on the shelf, each with a deep central slot into which a rod is pivoted to form a gate spanning the space between the bookends. The gate is easily lifted for removal of a book and drops to a position near the center of the bookend for retaining the books.

Abstract: A full length insert for golf bags is partitioned into two groups of five compartments along the interior sidewall and four central compartments between the groups. Each of the five groups is fabricated with a single sheet of fabric. The invention may be used of fabricate various forms of inserts for circular, square or oval shaped golf bags.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for strengthening a frame building with extension rebars clamped to the foundation rebar and extending between the studs and through the double plate between the rafters, includes a clamp that automatically corrects for building shrinkage. The clamp includes a steel shear plate on top of the double that has a central hole for passage of the extension rebar and a pair of steel plates clamped to the extension rebar. The bottom edges of the steel plates are angled from the surface of the surface of the shear plate and a spring biased wedge in the gap maintains tension of the extension rebar. Rafters may also be secured to the extension rebar by hooking a metal strap steel over a horizontal rebar on the rafters.

Abstract: A small trash container using plastic liner bags which are interconnected perforations and are supplied in a roll which is stored on an exterior wall of the container. The bags are fed into the container through a slot in the lower wall and are manually pulled up to receive the trash. The filled bag is then torn from the roll and a new bag installed.

Abstract: A highly maneuverable surgical scissors at the end of an 8 mm. diameter flexible arm 45 cm. in length and controlable by a scissors handle at the opposite end is designed for modern thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgery through a "button-hole" access port in a minimally invasive procedure.
