Abstract: A packet transmission apparatus and method is disclosed. The present invention transmits data packets without relaying a duplicate acknowledgement packet by equipping an indirect acknowledgement timer at a buffer, generating/transmitting the indirect acknowledgement packet of the first arrived acknowledgment packet base on the indirect acknowledgement timer and implementing an indirect acknowledgement method to a snoop protocol for overcoming problems of the transmission control protocol (TCP) in the wireless network environment. The present invention effectively utilizes resources of the wireless link, which is wasted during recovering lost packet in the conventional snoop protocol. The present invention also reduces a required size of the buffer of the base station by allowing a partially-generation of the indirect acknowledgement packet.

Abstract: A method for forming a dual damascene interconnection in a semiconductor device, which is capable of preventing a lower metal film from being corroded. The method includes the steps of forming an etch stop film and an intermetal insulating film sequentially on a lower metal film to be interconnected, forming a via hole for exposing a portion of a surface of the etch stop film through the intermetal insulating film, and forming a trench having a width wider than that of the via hole on the intermetal insulating film. The method also includes the steps of exposing the lower metal film by removing the etch stop film by performing an etching process using an etching equipment of a dual plasma source, performing a nitrogen passivation process for the exposed lower metal film, and forming a barrier metal film and an upper metal film sequentially within the trench and the via hole.

Abstract: An oscillator of a semiconductor memory device, wherein a reference voltage that flexibly shifts according to the shift in a power supply voltage is generated, and a reference clock is generated using the reference voltage. It is thus possible to generate the reference clock having a constant cycle regardless of the shift in the power supply voltage which can keep constant the duration period of internal control signals of devices, such as a timer and a pump circuit, which are synchronized to the reference clock.

Abstract: Pliers for installing a bushing within a drive selector linkage assembly of an automobile. The pliers include a first arm having a first handle portion and a holder portion. The holder portion is configured to independently hold a bushing to be installed within a drive selector linkage assembly of an automobile. The pliers also include a second arm pivotally mounted to the aforementioned first arm and have a second handle portion and a gripping portion. The gripping portion is configured to apply a force to the bushing suitable to install the bushing within the drive selector linkage assembly of the automobile when the first and second handles of the first and second arms, respectfully, are pivotally operated.

Abstract: Provided is an improved pornography blocking technique which blocks pornography on the basis of the contents of multimedia data. First, feature descriptor is extracted from multimedia data inputted from the Internet by using MPEG-7 scheme. And referring to reference pornography database which stores reference pornography in the form of feature descriptor, the similarity degree between the extracted feature descriptor and the feature descriptor of the reference pornography is measured by calculating the vector distance between the two feature descriptors. And it is determined whether the inputted multimedia data is pornography or not, by comparing the measured similarity degree with the similarity measurement threshold value. According to the invention, accurate pornography determining is possible, because the invention uses the contents of the multimedia data for determining.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of deagglomerating ceramic powder to inhibit agglomeration and provide a uniform particle size, a deagglomeration mill used for the above method, and a method of preparing uniformly mixed ceramic slurry using the deagglomerated ceramic powder. The deagglomeration method of the ceramic powder includes loading a mixture of ceramic powder and solvent into the deagglomeration mill which includes a hollow cylindrical mill cover having a diameter larger than a length and having a plurality of beads therein; rotating an impeller of a main shaft disposed longitudinally at an internal center portion of the mill cover at a peripheral velocity of 6–10 m/s, using a driving means; deagglomerating the ceramic powder by the action of beads which are moved by a rotational force of the impeller; and discharging the mixture of ceramic powder and solvent from the deagglomeration mill.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for multiplexing and demultiplexing variable-length high-speed packets. According to the method and apparatus, a plurality of one-gigabit Ethernet frames are multiplexed into a single 10-gigabit Ethernet frame and the single 10-gigabit Ethernet frame is demultiplexed into the plurality of one-gigabit Ethernet frames. In order to process variable-length high-speed packets, packet multiplexing instead of simple TDM is used and a larger input bandwidth than an output bandwidth is used, so that a statistical multiplex effect is accomplished. In addition, standard interface is used for input and output interface, so existing universal chips can be used.

Abstract: A kind of ozone disinfecting non-cordless mouse that is installed with an internal ozone generator module, which is connected to the power of the USB (Universal Serial Bus) plug, such that the ozone generator can produce ozone gas during use of the mouse. The gas is dispelled through a suitable port in the carapace of the mouse, and can disinfect the mouse or its surrounding area, and disinfect or clean the surrounding air. The creation also includes an ozone disinfecting cordless mouse, in which an ozone generator module is installed in the interior of the receiver or recharger outlet of the mouse. This ozone generator module is powered by the existing power supply of the receiver or recharger outlet, and can produce ozone gas when the cordless mouse is inserted into the cradle of the receiver or recharger outlet. The resulting ozone gas is then dispelled through a suitable vent, and can disinfect the mouse or its surrounding area, and disinfect or clean the surrounding area.

The slide including a magnetic piece is bar-shaped. The magnetic piece is configured in the slide. A longitudinal direction of the magnetic piece and a longitudinal direction of the slide are the same. The slide is coupled to the track so as to move along the track and be prevented from rotation thereon. The magnetic repulsive device is disposed on one end of the track to generate a magnetic repulsive force for fixing the slide on the track. The slide stops on a predetermined position with the magnetic repulsive force while an external force is released after the slide is adjusted to the predetermined position by the external force.

Abstract: A method for checking for elevated activity of mixed-function oxidases using a single insect, includes homogenizing a single insect in an acid pH buffer, preferably by grinding it in a small tube, such as an Eppendorf tube, with a pestle, adding a buffered tetramethylbenzidine solution as substrate, adding hydrogen peroxide as oxidant, and checking the blue coloration, the intensity of which indicates the degree of elevated mixed function oxidase activity. The invention also provides a test kit for use in the method which comprises separate containers of: I. an acid pH buffer, preferably an acid buffer about pH5 II. tetramethylbenzidine III. a solvent for tetramethylbenzidine, preferably methanol, and IV. hydrogen peroxide.
