Abstract: Methods and apparatus for the provision of differentiated services in a packet-based network may be provided in a communications device such as a switch or router having input ports and output ports. Each output port is associated with a set of configurable queues that store incoming data packets from one or more input ports. A scheduling mechanism retrieves data packets from individual queues in accord with a specified configuration, providing both pure priority and proportionate de-queuing to achieve a guaranteed QoS over a connectionless network.

Abstract: The present invention provides binding moieties for CEA, which have a variety of uses wherever detecting, isolating or localizing CEA, and particularly CEA as opposed to cross-reactive antigens such as NCA, is advantageous. Particularly disclosed are synthetic, isolated polypeptides capable of binding CEA, which is overexpressed in adenocarcinomas of endodermally derived digestive system epithelia and fetal colon. Such polypeptides and disclosed derivatives are useful, e.g., as imaging agents for CEA-expressing tumors.
Abstract: Performance of mass flow controller may be vulnerable to pressure transients in a flow path to which the controller is coupled for the purpose of controlling the fluid flow. A system and method are provided for reducing or eliminate performance degradations, instabilities, and/or inaccuracies of a mass flow controller caused by changes in the pressure environment.
