  • Patent number: 8348039
Abstract: A clamping roller freewheel, which has an inner ring, an outer ring and clamping rollers arranged between the inner ring and outer ring. The clamping rollers interact, in each case, with one clamping ramp formed on the outer circumference of the inner ring. The clamping rollers are surrounded by an elastically expandable protective ring which is concentric with respect to the freewheel axis. Retaining lugs prevent the protective ring from being driven in rotation by the outer ring in idle running operation. In this way, the outer ring is prevented from grinding against the clamping rollers, and the clamping rollers are prevented from being driven in rotation, with the resulting wear to the clamping ramps, in idle running operation.

  • Patent number: 8348040
Abstract: A form-fitting freewheel coupling, which has a first and second clamping track with latching structures, a gap space between the clamping tracks, and a clamping ring arranged in the gap space. The clamping ring has clamping tongues facing toward the first clamping track and clamping tongues facing toward the second clamping track. A drag ring is arranged in the gap space. The drag ring is pivotable to a limited extent, relative to the clamping ring and is spring-loaded against one of the clamping tracks and interacts with the clamping ring in such a way that, in the event of a rotation of the first clamping track relative to the second clamping track in the freewheel direction, the clamping ring is lifted fully from one of the clamping tracks, while the clamping tongues, which face away from the clamping track, protrude into the latching structures of the opposite clamping track.

  • Patent number: 8349228
Abstract: An optical film characterized by a high degree of flatness that can be used as a phase difference film of a liquid crystal display, and a method for manufacturing this optical film according to melt-casting film forming method. A melt including a cellulose resin is extruded onto a rotary support member 5 (cooling roll) from a flow casting die 4. A rotary pinch member 6 (touch roll) is energized to the rotary support member 5, and a nip is formed between them. When the melt is sandwiched and pressed by the nip, a die line and irregularity in thickness are removed. The linear pressure of the rotary pinch member 6 and the temperature of the melt immediately before the melt is sandwiched and pressed by the nip are set within a predetermined range, whereby effective correction of the film flatness is achieved.

  • Patent number: 8347773
Abstract: A thermal insulation jacket for a gun barrel, especially a cannon barrel, where the thermal insulation jacket includes a metal jacket that surrounds the gun barrel. In order to prevent uneven heating of the surface of the gun barrel within the thermal insulation jacket, an additional area that is especially effective at reflecting thermal radiation is provided on the inner surface of the metal jacket that lies opposite the underside of the gun barrel, so that when the gun barrel heats, the temperature differences between the upper side and the underside of the gun barrel are at least partially compensated. For this purpose, a reflective film is provided as the area that is a good reflector of thermal radiation. This reflective film is adhesively attached to the metal jacket.
