Patent number: 7979829Abstract: A layout of cells is generated to satisfy a netlist of an integrated circuit. Cell-level process compensation technique (PCT) processing is performed on a number of levels of one or more cells in the layout to generate a PCT processed version of the one more cells in the layout. An as-fabricated aerial image of each PCT processed cell level is generated to facilitate evaluation of PCT processing adequacy. Cell-level circuit extraction is performed on the PCT processed version of each cell using the generated as-fabricated aerial images. The cell-level PCT processing and cell-level circuit extraction are performed before placing and routing of the layout on a chip. The PCT processed version of the one or more cells and corresponding as-fabricated aerial images are stored in a cell library.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2008Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: Tela Innovations, Inc.Inventor: Michael C. Patent number: 7979811Abstract: Intermediate resolution-enhancement state layouts are generated based upon an original non-resolution enhanced layout of an integrated circuit and an associated resolution-enhanced layout. The intermediate resolution-enhancement state layout includes fragments corresponding to parts of the original layout and biases associated with the fragments, where the biases indicate distances between the fragments and the resolution-enhanced layout. The fragments are also assigned attributes such as fragment type, fragment location, and biases. The intermediate resolution-enhancement state layouts can be combined to generate the layout for a full chip IC. Two or more intermediate resolution-enhancement state layouts are assembled and are locally reconverged to adjust the resolution enhancement associated with the intermediate resolution-enhancement state layouts and obtain the intermediate resolution-enhancement state layouts for the full IC.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2008Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: Tela Innovations, Inc.Inventors: Shao-Po Wu, Xin Wang, Hongbo Tang, Meg Hung

Patent number: 7974849Abstract: A method is described with which to detect and model a person's temporal activity patterns from a record of the persons computer activity or online presence. The method is both predictive and descriptive of temporal features and is constructed with a minimal amount of beforehand knowledge. Activity related data is accumulated from a mechanism that is involved in the activity of a person. Significant inactivity features are identified within the activity data. These inactivity features are characterized so as to project the temporal activity of the person. Real-time activity of the person is then detected and inactivity periods are checked for likelihood of belonging to a previously characterized significant feature. The resulting information is formatted and made available to individuals having a need for the information.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2003Date of Patent: July 5, 2011Assignee: Oracle America, Inc.Inventors: James M. Patent number: 7967916Abstract: A system and method for preventing a pattern formed on a substrate from collapsing during a rinsing and drying phase of a fabrication operation includes determining a plurality of process parameters associated with a rinsing chemistry used during the rinsing operation. The process parameters define the characteristics of the rinsing chemistry and a substrate surface layer. A chemistry to reduce the surface tension of the rinsing chemistry (surface tension reducer) with at least one low surfactant chemical is identified based on the process parameters of the rinsing chemistry. The surface tension reducer is applied to the surface of the substrate such that the low surfactant chemical reduces the surface tension of the rinsing chemistry applied to the surface of the substrate thereby preventing the pattern from collapsing.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2008Date of Patent: June 28, 2011Assignee: Lam Research CorporationInventors: Seokmin Yun, John M. deLarios

Patent number: 7962819Abstract: An integrated circuit chip includes a scan-in pin, a scan clock pin, and a test controller. The scan-in pin and the scan clock pin receive a test program for the type of test mode and a soft-reset pattern. A state machine is configured to direct sampling of a scan clock waveform provided through the scan clock pin as dictated by transitions of a scan-in waveform provided through the scan-in pin. The state machine identifies a bit match from the sampled scan clock waveform upon executing the soft-reset pattern. The identified bit match triggers a soft reset which eliminates the need for an extra reset pin, when testing in scan mode.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2008Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: SanDisk CorporationInventors: Baojing Liu, Matt Davidson, Vladimir Kovalev
