Abstract: A dispensing apparatus (200) dilutes a liquid concentrate to form a dilute use solution for dispensing into a bottle having first and second lockout sections. The dispenser (200) includes an aspirator (222) and a valve (210) operatively connected to the aspirator (222) to control flow of liquid diluent. A base member is positioned under the aspirator (222) and has first and second sides (206 and 207). Each side has an inwardly protruding lockout member (249 and 250). The bottle (201) has elongate lockouts (245 and 246) and vertical lockouts (247 and 248). The lockouts provide for a lockout to prevent the wrong bottle from entering the dispenser (200) and also provides for alignment of the bottle (201) as it is moved vertically towards the aspirator (222).

Abstract: A grass catcher assembly 10 includes a hopper 15 has as inlet 16a for receiving a stream of air and grass clippings and an outlet 16b for venting air. A manifold 30 is operatively connected to the hopper 15. The manifold has an entrance for receiving the vented air and an exit for venting the air. The exit has a first orifice 33b and a second orifice 34b for venting air to the right and left side of the hopper. A baffle 40 selectively channels the vented air to the first or second orifices.

Abstract: An otherwise conventional exercise apparatus is improved by mounting left and right barbell supports on outward sides of left and right frame members. The supports engage the barbell both outward from and forward of the frame members such that gaps are created between the barbell and the posts sufficient to accommodate a user's hands. This reduces the likelihood that a user will pinch their hand between the barbell and post and allows the user to assume a relatively wider grip on the barbell for a given size apparatus.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for removing casings (15a) from elongated casing enclosed sausage sticks (15). An indexing conveyor (22) receives the casing-enclosed sausage sticks (15). An inflating mechanism is provided for inflating the casing-enclosed sausage sticks. An end cap removal section provides for the removal of the end caps. A casing slitting mechanism laterally slits the casings and the casings are then removed in a direction generally perpendicular to the length of the sausage sticks. Preferably a mechanism is provided for removal of the casings after they have been taken off from the sausage sticks by means of forced air.

Abstract: A liquid dispenser 10 includes a container 20 mounted on a wire rack 40 which is mounted to a wall 60 or the like. An aspirator 80 is mounted on the wire rack and the container covers/conceals the aspirator from view and acts as both a container and cover or shroud.

Abstract: A connector and a personal safety device are secured in series between a person and a support structure. The connector includes a bolt and another structural member which cooperate to form a closed loop. The bolt extends through opposite ends of the other structural member and at least one flange on the personal safety device. A radially extending flange is rigidly secured to an intermediate portion of the bolt and cooperates with an end of the bolt to capture an end of the other structural member therebetween.

A bolt is movably mounted to the handle portion and is biased to move axially into a locked position relative to the hook portion. A latch is movably mounted to the handle portion and is biased to move transversely into engagement with the bolt when the bolt occupies the locked position relative to the hook portion.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for unloading poultry as disclosed. A chute (35) is placed proximate the door of a coop. The door is opened and the poultry are urged out of the coop onto the chute (35). The poultry then slide down the chute (35) onto a conveyor (11), (15) which ultimately transfers the poultry to a gas stun vessel (25). The poultry are then transferred to a shackle line where they are shackled, without a full lift, and then proceed to an electrical stun (72) and killer (73). The gas stun vessel (25) includes a static mixer (53) for effectively mixing the CO.sub.2 and air before delivery to the gas stun vessel (25).

Abstract: A container (10) has a valve (20) to control flow of liquid out of the container (10). The valve (20) has an inline check valve (30) positioned in the inlet section (22) of the valve (20). The inlet section (22) of the valve (20) is in turn positioned in the discharge port (13) of the container (10), thereby positioning the check valve (30) on the inlet side of the valve (20) and in the container (10) so as to be tamper-resistant.

Abstract: An anchorage is interconnected between a support structure and a safety line. The anchorage accommodates passage of a slotted coupling device movably mounted on the safety line. The safety line may be secured to the anchorage without obtaining access to either end of the line.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing casing from a body of a sausage includes an infeed mechanism to provide forward movement of the body of the sausage along a feed path, with the tuft of the sausage leading the body of the sausage. A cutting device is operatively connected to the apparatus for cutting the casing of the sausage. A tucker plate is moveable between an unengaged position to an engaged position. A pair of stripper rollers are positioned below the tucker plate assembly. The body of the sausage contacts the tucker plate, causing the grasping members to more from the unengaged to the engaged position, forcing the tuft down between the stripper rollers and the casing is removed.

Abstract: A method of making partially split slices of bacon which includes partially splitting a belly by making a cut which extends from the belly's flank end to the belly's shoulder end on the belly's first side. The cut extends from the first side to proximate the belly's second side, wherein the belly is partially split. The belly is sliced to form a slice of bacon that is partially split, wherein the slice of bacon may later easily be split into two pieces.

Abstract: A chain saw includes a chain formed into a closed loop about a drive sprocket and a support bar. A first piston is operable to move the support bar radially away from the drive sprocket, and a second piston is operable to limit such movement.

Abstract: A carcass splitting apparatus 10 splits the carcass of an animal suspended by a suspension mechanism from an overhead conveyor. The apparatus includes a frame and a carriage assembly for moving along the frame. A drive mechanism moves the carriage along the frame and a saw is connected to the carriage for general vertical movement to split the carcass. A suspension member pusher is connected to the assembly for controlling movement of the carcass independent of the overhead conveyor. The apparatus includes a plurality of hydraulic cylinders and transducers to monitor the locations of the various components of the carcass splitting apparatus.
